I originally had a 1PM appointment, but then due to other commitments, changed it on Zocdoc to 12.15. I kept getting phone-calls & emails to confirm 1PM appointment; I told them that it was changed to 12.15, & I called Zocdoc who indeed confirmed taht I had changed to 12.15, but they [dentist office] kept insisting that it was 1PM. I arrived by 12.15PM, and they duly kept me waiting until 1PM, and it messed up my entire schedule for remainder of the day.read more

The visit actually did not take place during the last appointment I attempted to schedule because I made the appointment via ZocDoc and the appointment was left pending. I called the office the day of and was informed that my appointment had been cancelled. I informed the staff member on the other line that I received no notification of the cancellation and she was adamant that she personally cancelled it. She then stated that if she had a cancellation that day that she would call me back, she did, however I already had another previously scheduled appointment and could not make it. She then stated that she would contact me if someone cancelled on Saturday and she never did. She had also stated that ZocDoc and the Dr.'s actual schedule sometimes do not agree. My question is then why are patients presented with the option to schedule appointments via ZocDoc? I had to call and make an appointment with the actual office and I had to wait several weeks later. The service in terms of scheduling appointments used to be way better and I hope that there can be better communication between the Doctor's office and ZocDoc so that I can schedule and appointment on ZocDoc and be allowed to maintain that appointment, unless there is an emergency and/or unforeseen circumstances. I do love Dr. U and the Dental Hygienist is awesome too, based on my previous appointments. Thank you!read more

I went in for a routine cleaning. It's been over a year since my last, with a different dentist, which wasn't a great experience. I switched to Dr. Uchitelev after reading the reviews on Zocdoc and came in for my first visit today. Don't let the rough, graffiti'd exterior of the building fool you. Nothing but warm hospitality once you set foot inside! The receptionist was kind in getting me squared away with the paperwork and insurance. The hygienist, Stephanie, was amazing! Very sociable and easy to talk to, made sure I was comfortable the entire time, and very informative- hooked me up with quite the grab bag of dental care products too! I only spoke to Dr. Uchitelev for a few minutes at the end (a good thing! no dental problems!) but he was also very kind in our short exchange. The tech seemed very advanced and up-to-date and everything was completely painless indeed. I will be coming back!read more

Do not be frightened away by the outside appearance of this office. The staff is very friendly and considerate. I also did not feel like I was being swindled or being talked to by a salesperson. The last dentist I went too tried to drill two extra holes in my mouth. Dr. U made sure to only do what was absolutely necessary and did a phenomenal job. Best fillings I have ever had. read more
