Well I'll start with that I am British. Yeah, yeah...I've heard all the jokes about the Brits and their teeth. It's not a myth. Thankfully, when I discovered America (not quite the way Columbus did, but I digress...) I got my teeth fixed up 'all pretty and Americanized' and they looked great. It was a while back (20 something years ago) and after several years of wear and tear and grinding on my precious pearly whites, they've been in need of a bit of a 'service'. So after lots of research, I decided to visit Towson Smile Care to get an 'overhaul' after hearing some pretty good things about the place. What can I say? I'm a pretty picky person, no...VERY picky...when it comes to patient satisfaction and results, customer service, manners, pleasant ambience, and all that stuff that one should get but sadly these days, rarely does. I'm a Brit. I have super high standards. You are now probably realizing how critical and difficult I can be ... (That's what my husband says anyway ... I begrudgingly agree with him on this). Having said that, I'm the kind of person who thinks outstanding service deserves outstanding recognition. If I do write a bad review, believe me, the experience has to have been abysmal. Long story...Cutting it short now... I walked out of my appointment today at Towson Smile Care extremely satisfied. I was seen within minutes, got everything I had hoped for in a dental visit. They gave me extensive information regarding my treatment plan in layman's terms (cos I need that, the old brain goes on vacay sometimes). They gave me all the treatment options, payment options, and not the 'super expensive I need a bank loan please ...and fast' treatment plan. They were super friendly and pleasant, every single member of staff. They are all obviously happy in their jobs and are obviously treated well by their employer. (Super important I believe). Lovely waiting area (love that massage chair... Thanks for that). Refreshments available. Toys for the kids which look clean and new. Love it. One of the moments unrelated to dentistry that really blew me away, was whilst I was sitting in the chair with a mouthful of dental gummy goo, my daughter, who was in a different room getting treatment, text msgd me to say her blood glucose levels were at 32. She's a Type 1 insulin dependent diabetic, and needed sugar, and fast. I was immobile, and so showed the dental nurse the message. Within 30 seconds she was in there attending to my daughter's urgent medical needs. What can I say? I have no words for that. Above and beyond. In every way. Not one bad thing to say (and that's not like me...). Highly highly recommend.
