He was very unsympathetic towards my reasoning for seeing him (overactive bladder). He was rude and very unprofessional to the point where I feel like he was making fun of me. I've had trouble controlling my bladder ever since I was a little kid, and I finally had the courage to go and seek medical help only to be confronted by a condescending, insensitive, ill-mannered doctor.
Dr. Babe it was extremely kind and thoughtful. His office was very efficient and communicative. I highly recommend his practice.
I had an appointment for a vasectomy scheduled for over a month with Dr. Babeir. I called to confirm and find out what I needed to do in preparation. All I was told was not to eat 8 hours before the appointment. There was never any indication that the procedure would not take place today, until it didn't. I waited over an hour to see the doctor with no explanation and was finally brought into his office. He asked me why I wanted a vasectomy and I told him because I did not want children. He then asked if I had any children and I said no. The look I got from him in combination of these two answers was the most judgmental look I ever received in my life, as if he was saying, "why on earth would you want a vasectomy if you have never had children before?". He then informed me that he would have to check the legality of performing the procedure on someone who never had a child before. That caught me off guard as it was something I never heard before, nor came across in my extensive research into the procedure online. After that he told me that he does not even do the vasectomy procedure at Carney Hospital because it is a Catholic hospital. I told him that the entire appointment was misleading and that at no point did I not think that I would have been leaving without having the procedure done. He blamed his staff for being misinformed and told me that he would have to schedule the procedure at a later date in his other office, outside the umbrella of the Catholic church. I am beyond furious at the giant waste of time of this entire appointment and the unprofessional manner in which this was handled. Telling someone not to eat for 8 hours before and having them go through all the rigors of registering at the hospital for outpatient surgery, and then not performing the procedure is ludicrous and deceitful. ZocDoc says they will not publish the review if it contains profanity, but if you've read this far, insert choice 4 letter words throughout and you may come close to understanding why I will never have Dr. Babeir perform this procedure for me and why I hope that nobody entrusts their vasectomy with someone who runs an office that outright wastes the time of their patients.
