Verified Patient Reviews
He was very kind to my young daughter and sensitive to any fears she had.
He's very polite and very informative. I would recommend him to others looking for a good skin doctors.
I think he was nice and I am testing the products and will leave another review about his expertise.
Pleased with the direct care and professional manner of Doctor. This is not the first time there but was a different type of appointment but service was exceptional as usual.
Was not pleased with the service or wait time. Took 1.5 hours to see the doctor.
I really wish I could give this Dr a 5 star rating across the board! He's professional, knowledge and treated me very well. Based on this I would recommend him to a friend. The cons is that I had to wait for 2:20 minutes to see the Dr. I had a 3 PM appointment and showed up on time. There's something broken with the scheduling system if any patient should wait this long. The fact is it does not add up- not my options but it is a fact. Additionally if there truly is an exception, all patients should be communicated this as soon as they arrive so they can make the choice to wait or re-schedule. The verdict: I am hesitant to re-schedule and have the same experience. Based on the behaviors I don't believe today was an exception. If the wait time was not an issue for me, I would certainly return as the Dr. is great.
This was my second visit to this office. I booked my appointment on a day with nearly every slot available and booked the last appointment of the day (5 PM). After I signed in the receptionist gave me a clipboard with a generic insurance/medical history form. I told her that I already filled these out on ZocDoc and she looked very confused. She said "we have our own forms" which was nearly identical to the ZocDoc questionnaire. I was finally called into the examination room at 6 PM and saw the doctor 20 minutes later. When Dr. Freilich came into the room, he appeared to be very distracted, exiting and reentering several times. He did not make eye contact at any point during the examination. The examination required privacy yet he neglected to shut the door completely and the room faced the street with the curtains ajar. I asked if he would close the door and after he did not respond, I did it myself.
Dr. Freilich. . .went to him because he was in the area. His bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired. Very cold and distant. I was not put at ease during my visit with him at all. His staff is a true reflection of Dr. Freilich; they're distant and weren't friendly. Perhaps they were having a horrible day! Never going back and would not refer him.
he is a great doctor
He did a very careful examination of the leg issue and prescribed me all relevant meds including one that I suggested. He did not provide any anesthesia for probing a highly inflamed wound. He was available by phone to talk to my pharmacist for dosage adjustment.
The doctor didn't seem comfortable talking to me. The office was a bit of a zoo, and I was waiting for a long time before I was seen by anyone.
Good experience, but the wait was too long.
very nice and professional staff, excellent doctor, helped me in all that I needed and resolved my issues.
Professional and personable.
I love him !!! Dr. Abraham is awesome, very friendly and professional. I am seeing Dr. Abraham for years. He made me feel very comfortable and answered all my questions. His pierrepont staff is very polite. Go to his pierrepont office you are in good hands with them. Highly recommend him!
very nice staf
I would recommend Dr. Freilich to anyone who has any anxiety about going to the doctor. He was very patient and nice about my fear of needles. Thanks, doc!
Don't bother filling out the forms on ZocDoc - this office doesn't use them. You'll have to fill them in all over again. Don't bother coming to the office without cash or a check. They don't accept credit cards. Don't bother coming to the office thinking you'll be seen at your appointment time or even within 90 minutes of your appointment time. I waited nearly two hours. The waiting room has so many chairs, indicating that the office has a firm policy of grossly overbooking appointments.
I've been to this doctor 3 or 4 times and each time I have to re-fill out my personal, medical and insurance information because the people behind the check in counter claim they are "converting to a new system" scary to think my ssn is lost somewhere on multiple papers behind that desk. Also, without fail each time I'm in no matter what time of day the ladies behind the counter are eating and the entire waiting area smells like a cafeteria. I like the doctor and service he provides but the wait time and smell of food is distracting and not very professional.
I've been going to Dr. Freilich's over the past several years, and have been very pleased with the service. If one can work around and with his heavy scheduling, it's worth the wait time.
He is a great doctor
Reception was full of miserable patients who had been waiting for hours for their appointments and the front desk staff was rude and unhelpful, they also made me fill out all the paperwork again because they said they're not "synched" with ZocDoc which is unfortunate because I wasted my time filling out a bunch of information online which was apparently pointless
Not helpful. Waste of time. The doctor didn't pay any attention to me.
I had to write a review for Dr. Freilich because after reading his past reviews I was expecting a great doctor that comes with a long wait. But much to my surprise I filled out my forms as a first time patient and right away I was ushered into an exam room by a nurse. Soon after, before I could take off my coat, Dr. Freilich came in. In sum, This was one of the most pleasant experiences at a doctor I've ever had. Hope this helped.
Had to fill out info already submitted via ZocDoc, not really a big deal. Office doesn't accept debit card, only cash or check. Recommended!
Visit was fine. Wait was ridiculously long. Will not return.
I met with doctor Freilich's PA for a skin screening. She did a cursory check and noted there was "nothing to worry about". When I flagged two moles I particularly suspected she removed them. She didn't check my scalp or between my toes. Moreover, I had gone wanting to get photos of my moles so I could compare them over time. I was told their office didn't do that (I didn't even know it was possible that a dermatologist wouldn't do that) and was told "to just take my own pictures with a camera." I would not go to this doctor for a skin screening again.
It was great, other than the wait time.
Dr. was fine but wait was TERRIBLE, over 2 hours!!!!
I was a new patient and arrived at 10:57 for an appointment at 11:00am. I filled out the paper work and had it back to the receptionists by 11:03. The office was empty except for one other patient. Then, 30 minutes later they told me I would be taken back in 5 minutes. 10 minutes later they asked me for my date of birth - this information was on the form. Then the receptionist asked for my co pay. Unfortunately for me they only take cash and check. So I had to go grab cash from an ATM. I came back, paid, waited another 5 minutes and then was called back to a room. I tought I would use my extra time waiting in this room for the doctor to write a review. At this point I've received no apologies for the delay and the receptionists have spent most of their time talking with each other about their personal lives and what they are ordering for lunch. So be prepared to wait. Once the PA came in she was polite and fast and I was out in 10 minutes.
Dr Freilich is great. Definitely will see him again and recommend him.
Dr. Freilich is nice and approachable. The wait in the office was QUITE long, however.
Overall, a postiive experience. The staff at the front desk could be a bit more friendly, is all. Plus, the office needs to start accepting credit and debit cards. It's 2013 already!
I'm very hesitant to criticize a business online, I understand how difficult it is to make one work, still, I wasn't happy. When you arrive, there's a sign that says to ring the bell but the entrance was open, so I felt funny when I rang it, looked inside to the receptionist who didn't look up so I just walked in. They continued to do what they were doing and still didn't look up so I announced I was there, I was given a card to fill out, a sing in sheet, the usual. But they were complaining loudly how there were so many 'new patients' and how they weren't even allowed to 'finish lunch'. I found it very disturbing as well as unprofessional. Then there were small children, not very well behaved, crying, a popular radio station playing (a pet peeve of mine, can't they play relaxing, new age like music? Not classic pop that you've heard 100 million times your whole life?) and a crowded waiting room. I was just about to leave when they asked for my co pay, which I found odd, I usually do that on the way out, so I decided to stay. Finally after almost an hour of waiting, the doctor saw me for maybe 5 minutes and the prescription he gave me has to be ordered so I have to go pick it up first thing in the morning, ugh!
Very professional. Frienly staff. Highly recommend!!
I found out when I tried to pay with my FSA debit card before being seen that they didn't have a way to accept credit cards. It's cash or check only. Luckily I had cash on me. I wish I knew that beforehand though as I probably wouldn't have gone there to begin with. I really dislike having to submit receipts to be paid back my pre-taxed money. Oh, and the receptionist didn't know what an FSA was. Who works in healthcare and doesn't know what an FSA/HSA are? I waited a little more than an hour to be seen. The doctor saw me for approximately 5 minutes (full body spot check) and then sold me his own personal brand (it literally has his name on it) of shampoo for my dry scalp. That was a first for me.
First visit. So far OK. Future visits will tell.
The staff was unorganized and snappy. The doctor made a point of introducing himself which was nice, but the appointment was extremely short and he made me feel sort of ridiculous for coming in for an annual check. Shouldn't dermatologists be pleased that people are concerned for their skin!?
I will definetely use Zoc-Doc again, Thank you so much
dr.freilich is so good and all the assistant is very nice to me so i will recommend them in my friends
