Patient reviews for Dr. Abraham Yu-Hong Law
The staff was so unorganized and the doctor didn’t even know that his office didn’t offer a Holter Monitor (a device which monitors your heart for an extended period of time). The doctor also ordered an EKG but when it came time to get the lab done, the lady at the front desk(who was very nice) didn’t read any of the papers and tried to tell us we were done and could leave. Had I not said that the doctor wanted an EKG, I would have never gotten one. Lastly, when it came time for me to get my Heart Monitor, I was given a list of places to go where I could find one and was told to “call around” until I was able to get one ASAP. I’m glad I stayed at the office while calling these places because the place that had the monitor needed more info from Dr. Laws office. It was a terrible experience. Not to mention when I was getting my EKG, the intern clearly has no idea how to hook it up and was not being watched which made it awkward when the nurse finally came in and had to show the intern how to work the machine. I definitely will not be going back and will never recommend anyone use this place for anything other than a standard physical.
I had a pretty poor experience visiting Dr.Law. The aids seemed unorganized, and just going through the motions(they were definitely not concerned about why I was there). When I met with Dr.Law I was barely 5 seconds into explaining why I was visiting before he started writing a prescription. I felt like he just wanted to get me out the door. He then started walking out before addressing my second issue/reason for visit(I explained both of the reasons for my visit as soon as he entered the room). I had to remind him and he seemed inconvenienced. He then asked me to remove my shirt to examine me WHILE THE DOOR TO THE ROOM WAS OPEN. Overall I would not recommend Dr.Law.
Pretty awful. Pretty much didn’t care about what I had to say. When I asked him what I can do about my symptoms he just walked away. Never called me back about my results. I guess kind of expected when you can book an appointment last minute.
Quick and efficient, would highly recommend.
- Was unable to reach my previous doctor for medical records but kept my follow-up appointment anyway even though it became a waste of time. - Wrote down very different symptoms from what reported, then repeated the confusion several times after I corrected it. - Got to deal with mystery bills months later when their expensive tests were not completely covered by insurance. Insurance issues were not their fault, but I was never informed of the maximum about I might have to pay. (Tests also failed to detect anything and I only took them on the doctor's belief that it might.) - Started writing prescriptions for a medication simply because I claimed to have taken it before and without confirming with previous doctor.
I was in a horrible accident back in April of this year. Due to a fall I had a lot of p hysical damage to blood vessels, which disrupted blood flow to leg tissue and caused ischemia resulting in necrosis of muscles in leg. and debriment of the dead muscle in thigh and glutes This has caused severe pain I'm in constant chronic pain and had about 39 debriment surgeries . I went to this doctor to talk about pain and instead of listen to my horrific experience and the help I need for the pain, he said that since its been about 6 months that I shouldn't be in pain. I had half of the muscles in my left leg removed and the surgeons said I would be in chronic pain for years. Instead of acknowledging my pain he refused to prescribe me anything and instead handed me a list of substance abuse clinics . He ignored and doubted the debilitating pain I'm in and said I needed help rather than help me. I'm incredibly offended and won't be seeing dr. Law again . You need to have compassion dr. Law , you need to make your patients feel like they're heard and that you care . Furthermore you walked out of the room immediately after you refused to give me any help and left me alone , that was disgusting behavior you should be ashamed of yourself .
Appointment needed to slightly shifted because was not synched with ZocDoc.
Great! Dr. Grenier was very intelligent and receptive.
Great visit. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The doctor treated me right away for, unfortunately, bronchitis. Very considerate doctor.
Longish wait (30 minutes before taken into the room). I did not feel rushed by Dr. Law but he has a very strict policy about prescribing birth control pills (must get pap smear once a year) even though other doctors do not follow this policy. I also disliked that the office policy disallowed emailing out test results. I have a busy and unpredictable schedule and would much rather not have to call back at the specific time Dr. Law is in if I can read the results in an email at home or anywhere. The final straw was when I was at the office, 2 separate patients were trying to get their medical records so they could go to another doctor. Apparently you have to pay a fee before the office allows you to go to a different doctor. In the meantime, the office workers seemed very stressed because of the dissatisfied patients above. I think if this office spent more time on treating patients better and less time on making patients jump through hoops to switch doctors, it would make everyone happier. I for one, do not plan on going back to this office.
Came in for a routine physical, which went as planned. Good doctor if you are looking for basic physical, and if you are a man. However, I asked for birth control prescription - and was effectively refused to be given more than a month's worth of pills without having to have a pap smear done (extremely painful procedure), despite me telling him I was not sexually active. I really did not appreciate having my prescription that I've gotten before with other doctors with no problem dangled on top of my head like candy like I was a child, and I did not appreciate not being listened to. I will certainly not be having a pap smear done at this office, and will take my regular business instead to a doctor who is able to converse maturely about women's health.
Support staff was also extremely helpful.
Very thorough and friendly.
I met with Dr. Grenier- she was great, very personable. I'd recommend her to anyone. The wait was a little longer than I expected- however, this was my first visit so I'm sure more paperwork than usual needed to be processed.
This was my first Primary Care visit and the experience was great right from the start. Dr. Law had a nice demeanor and a thorough approach. Would highly recommend him!
The doctor was quick and professional. However the person who drew my blood was a little rough.
he always listens to my concerns and follow up.
You wait a loooong time in the patient room. I spent about an hour the previous time. The folks are very nice though.
Wasnt Dr Yu-Hong, but another doctor who visits occassionally. Everything was great.
Seemed a little rushed, but was a quick appointment. I didn't feel fully attended to.
Dr. Law was extremely welcoming and helpful! He really built my trust and took care of me. I would definitely come back!
I wasn't seen until about 30-45 mins after my appt time, then the doctor saw me for less than five minutes. Wouldn't recommend and don't plan to go back.
Long wait. Over priced. But the service was good, and professional.
The nurse was rude and the doctor did not seem like he wanted to treat me. I will never go here again.
I didn't get to have the visit. None of the times they'd had listed on ZocDoc were actually available, so they tried to move my appointment time over the phone even though they confirmed it.
He is a good listener but also gives very good advice
He was very kind and understanding. Listened to everything I had to say and knew exactly what to do to fix my problem. I felt very comfortable with him.
He was very attentive and great at listening. Excited to say I found my new doctor
Basic no nonsense medical office. Very efficient with good division of labor, and sufficient time with dr law.
He was very businesslike and seemed like he wanted me in and out as quickly as possible, and also didn't really examine my injury before writing a prescription. The staff were lovely, but I will likely be searching for a different doctor.
He is always very good at listening and getting right to the point, he is great !
I have been to this office a few times before and saw Dr. Law. He wasn't spectacular, but for something minor like an ear infection, this office is perfect as they can get you in and out quickly. I was desperate for an appointment last week and couldn't get in to see my normal doctor, so I booked an appointment here. I'm not sure what her name was, but I saw a female doctor instead of Dr. Law. I am really not very picky about doctors, but she was by far the most atrocious doctor I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. Her bedside manner was absolutely horrendous and her lack of compassion made me want to leave nearly immediately after she entered the room. Instead of providing me with any useful advice, she gave a negative response to every one of my answers and basically said "you're not sick, but I guess I'll prescribe something for you anyway." I suffer from chronic sinus infections, which are absolutely miserable, and being judged and ridiculed by someone who couldn't even comprehensively verbalize her reasoning was the last thing I needed. While I had a fine experience with this doctor in the past, I will certainly never be going back again.
He is very professional and knows exactly what the problems are, he listens and he is very nice.
Dr.law is a pretty good doctor, but the office and staff seem too busy for any significant productive work with patients. They need more organization and patient skills especially in communication, timely responses, and paperwork.
Good experience when in the office. Only misgiving was I was told to call for results at a specific time, and when I called, I could not reach the doctor. It took 8 hours and two additional phone calls to get a hold of the doctor for my results.
Solid straight forward doctor. Perfect for my physical.
Took forever too see the doctor
Very good and to the point, If you want a quick in and out last minute appointment then his office is the one to go to. No nonsense (i.e not the best bedside manner) but they get to the diagnosis fast and make sure they treat you. Compare this to drs and their supporting staff who might have amazing bedside manners but the wait time is 45 mins. I was in and out in 20 mins.
He only half-listened to me and didn't take what I was saying very seriously. The appointment only lasted 3 minutes. I would try to speak to him but he would rush me.
I was seen within 10 minutes of my appointment. My visit with Dr. Yu-Hong was brief, but he explained his diagnosis clearly, and asked a good deal of questions regarding the cause for my issue.
Dr. Law was very detailed in explaining his diagnosis and recommended course of action. The office was very efficient and timely
The sign up process requires one to give too much personal information about oneself and the family. Never came across something like this.
It got the job done.
Dr. Abraham was not listening to my explanations carefuly. And Dr. Abraham did not ask me the questions necessary to make a - professional evaluation. I felt Rushed, and his attitude was not friendly or welcoming. Over all I would not recommend this doctor to anyone.
Dr.Law and his office staff were compassionate and professional. This was my first visit and I was very impressed.
My visit to Dr. Law was fine. The wait was mostly for filling out paperwork as a first-time patient. He quickly diagnosed my problem, explained it clearly, and wrote my prescription.
Great Dr.! Listened well re symptoms, prompt treatment, good follow up!
