Patient reviews for Dr. Aekata Shah
Personable and knowledgeable. Welcomed questions or concerns.
I saw positive reviews and was excited to finally get situated with a physician in the area. I sadly left with a very negative experience. She didn’t ask about my medical history or medications. She took no time to get to know me or talk to be before becoming very personal, she didn’t explain what was going to happen. She seemed nice but in a rush and could care less about this being a positive OB/ GYN experience.
I was in and out in 30 minutes, which has never happened before! Dr. Shah was amazing, kind and treated me with care. So happy I such a great doctor in the city.
This was my first visit to Stoll Medical Group. I just moved to town and needed to find a new primary care doctor so I stopped in for a physical. The women at the front desk took a while to acknowledge me and generally seemed pre-occupied with other things (they appeared to be legitimately working though, just no concept of acknowledging new people coming through the door). There wasn't much of a wait once I finished my paperwork. This office is huge! I was led around the corner, past another administrative desk, and up another hallway to the exam room. Dr. Shah showed up maybe 10 minutes after I'd be in the room and I was surprised to see a "scribe" following her. With the scribe, Dr. Shah was able to devote her full attention to me without having to stop and take notes along the way. She wasn't judgmental about anything as I gave her my medical history and she was on board with current treatment plans that I put in place with other doctors (e.g.: going to a chiropractor for back/migraine pain). It was actually just great to hear a doctor say she was happy with my numbers since I had a biometric screening and have family history of HBP, heart disease, etc. Usually doctors are OK with the numbers but don't give the added context that my numbers are good considering everything else and that I don't need to be overly concerned at this point (as I usually am overly concerned). Dr. Shah also explained that this office can do annual gynecological exams so I don't need to find a separate gynecologist for that appointment next year (until I'm ready for children, since this office can't do the OB care), so that was great news too! One-stop-shop for me. Overall, it was a great appointment and I will definitely come back if I need to have a "problem visit" or need anything else in the future.
I really like coming here. She and the staff who work there are friendly and answer my questions. The office is clean, and it's easy to get to. I make all my appointments here now.
First time seeing her and I enjoyed meeting her and felt very good with the things she was going over. All around great experience
Dr. Shah is great, very thorough and caring.
She was very cheerful and straight to the point. Answered all my questions and concerns. I would see her again with no problem!
Dr. Aekata was great and completed my paper work expeditiously.
She was very informative and willing to go above and beyond!
Clean, bright office with a calming water feature during an extremely brief wait. This is a very well run, efficient office. Dr. Shah was friendly and exactly what I was looking for in a health care provider.
Great! Dr. Shaw was knowledgeable, kind, and offered good, caring advice.
Great visit. Answered all my questions. Highly recommend.
I've always had positive experiences with Stoll Medicsl group. They are thorough and hospitable.
Aekata is incredible, friendly, and understanding.
The best primary care doctor ever
My visit was really efficient and covered a lot of ground. Dr. Shah was very friendly and had a sense of humor. However I did feel a bit rushed, which is probably more due to scheduling.
Dr. Shah was AMAZING! I’ve had the same primary care doctor forever and had to switch because I moved. She was so kind and spent just the right amount of time with me. I have a service dog, and she was so welcoming. Thank you for making my experience so pleasant!
Went in to see Dr. Shah after a lot of disillusioning experiences with docs in general. She was extremely thorough, upfront about insurance questions (which has been a main issue I’ve had with other doctors, who sometimes are like don’t worry about it! Then you get a huge surprise bill.) she actually wrote Down the names of two other specialists she through might help me further instead of the usual “you should see x kind of specialist” statement...and I felt she really looked at me holistically. She took my concerns seriously and ran bloodwork, was transparent about the processes. Great experience.
Very clean and professional environment, staff was also very friendly. Including the doctor herself.
Dr Shah is quick, personable, and does what’s best for the client. Highly recommend!
Very nice, and made me feel very comfortable.
Smart, young professional who I feel I can trust!
Dr. Shah was awesome in the way that she was thorough and gave information most appropriate to my specific needs. And best of all, it didnt even feel like there was a wait time. Everything flowed so smoothly.
Highly recommend Dr. Shah, she gets right to business and was able to address all of my concerns and treat me quickly.
Dr Shah is the best
Dr. Shah is incredibly kind and listened to all my issues without making me feel crazy. Highly recommend to anyone!
Professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and confident.
Dr. Shah was very nice and professional. She made me feel very comfortable and I’ll definitely come back
I love her!!! Always on top of everything
I like it was helpful and insitful
I was having difficulty breathing due to asthma. The staff was very friendly and nice. They took me back with urgency obtained my vital and history then my provider came in right away!!! The doctor was very friendly and showed concern for my health issue. I had a very good experience!
Great experience! I was in and out and got so much done! I also felt super welcomed and comfy during my visit!
She’s a nice doctor. I did not get the solution to my condition but it was fine because she did not want to jump to conclusions without seeing test results. She is also considerate and since I didn’t have insurance she made sure I go to the feasible places for the tests
Dr. Shah is knowledgeable, personable, efficient, and addressed my concerns.
My first experience with Dr. Shah was wonderful. She was bright and warm from the moment she walked into my exam room. She listened to what I had to say, told me exactly what I needed to do, and what she was going to do on this first visit. Dr. Shah even went out of her way to find me some recommendations for specialists. All of my interactions were positive and I left feeling taken care of.
Made me feel very comfortable!
Professional and knowledgeable.
I didn't get a sense of empathy for my problem and the pain I was in. She kept trying to push unrelated tests that didn't seem like a priority in my mind. I came in for a specific problem and yet she was pushing things that were more for if you came in for a physical. She did answer whatever questions I had and in general tried to help as much as she could.
She was really nice! Handled everything I needed.
Dr Shah is a brilliant primary care doctor. She is a great listener and she makes you feel very at ease. I feel very lucky to have her as my doctor.
Short sweet in and out nice personality but the place could be a little cleaner
I understand that all the doctors are trying to be very timely, but it seems like they are moving through patients one a factory. Everything is rushed and feels like there is no compassion or empathy.
Great bedside manner!
Dr Shah was pretty awesome! She had a great attitude and got straight to the point of my needs. I am so happy I chose her to be my primary care doctor.
Quick and friendly.
Dr. Shah was kind, straightforward and helpful. She actually listened, which is not a given in a doctor's office! She is not over-the-top warm and fuzzy friendly, so don't expect to feel like you met your new best friend or long lost grandmother. But she was kind, attentive, and helpful -- so what more could you want? The office in general was impressively efficient. This was only my first visit, but so far I'm a fan!!
This visit wasn't at all what I wanted or needed in a doctor's visit. I came in because I wanted a physical and didn't realize I had already had it in September, which was great! One less thing I have to do. But, I also wanted a referral for a breast reduction because I've been experiencing back issues all my life and have always been told it was because I was overweight. I have since lost 130+ pounds yet my back pain is getting worse, so I thought maybe I would get a different response. Dr. Shah is new to me so she may not remember that I had weight loss surgery recently which means a reduction might be warranted for me and my back issues. Anyways, she told me that I would need to go to PT (usual statement I hear) and she gave me the referral for a plastic surgeon, but I felt really unheard because she didn't really inquire deeply about my back pain and the history of it would have resulted in a different outcome. I changed PCPs because my last one was very invalidating and uninterested in helping me. I will go to the PT and hopefully that will help. Dr. Shah seems nice and is definitely knowledgeable but I may switch to another PCP who will take the time to listen, especially when I have a history of back problems and have done things to help eliminate the problem, especially losing so much weight which was reported to be the major problem!
Felt that the doctor was a bit short and did not care to speak much with patient.
