Patient reviews for Dr. Aekata Shah
Very professional and courteous staff
She is amazing, very helpful and addressed all of my needs, highly recommended for primary care
It was easy and comfortable. She had answers and referrals and made me feel confident in my health.
Couldn’t expect any better service. Simply amazing team and service.
She seemed impersonal and rushed. She tried to refer me to get testing without explaining what it was or why it was necessary. I was trying to establish care, and other offices will talk to you for a long time to get your entire medical, family, and social history and she talked to me for about 5 minutes. (ps this is coming from someone in the medical field who has dealt with a lot of primary care doctors).
I was brought back for my appointment right after I finished filling out the paperwork and only had to wait a few minutes in the exam room before the doctor came in. I felt the exam was very thorough and Dr. Shah addressed all of my concerns!
Very quick and efficient. Felt like a factory. Not very personal.
Aekata did not dismiss my concerns. She took everything I said very serious. She carefully listens and she ask questions. I felt the sense of her truly understanding me. I highly recommend Aekata to anyone looking for a doctor with excellent bedside manner, who will listen and take any concerns you have serious.
She is no-nonsense and definitely quick. For my first appointment I was sort of surprised that more of my information and medical history wasn't more carefully looked at. Will be interested to see how my follow-up goes.
Very nice. Great impression
This was my first time visiting and everything felt transactional. The initial interview to go over family medical history lacked thoroughness and they do not have detailed records the way my precious doctor's office did. In addition, the next course of action wasn't presented to me in options more like commands. What was supposed to be a simple consultation was a very stressful experience for me. Definitely not going back. They all need to work on bedside manners and overall cleanliness of the office. There was no where for me to put my things except the floor and the station where they gave me my flu shot and drew blood looked unsanitary.
Dr. say was friendly and helpful, didn’t have to wait long at all!
Fast, thorough, and efficient
Truly great, very comforting.
Dr. Shah is incredible. She’s thorough, friendly, and always willing to discuss options. 10/10!
The appointment was efficient and Dr. Shah answered all my questions.
Efficient, Kind, Brilliant!
Dr. Shah was wonderful - super efficient and friendly, very clear about options and next steps. So happy to have found her!
My visit with Dr Shah was great. She is an excellent doctor who’s caring and concerned. I would recommend Dr Shah and the Stoll group to anyone looking for efficient care and treatment.
I don’t have kids so can’t describe that, but I love this office. Everyone is professional and really know what they are doing
TBH as a Black person, there are times when I go to the the doctors office and am made to feel unwanted. This is not the case with Dr Shah. Dr. Shah always makes me feel welcome and valid. And she's a great doctor to boot.
Always seems really rushed and doesn’t ask a lot about history. I said I was thinking about starting back on my old birth control and before I knew it the prescription was sent without discussing any other options or why I went off it in the first place. Dr. Shah is very nice which is important because I’ve had doctors that are not at all friendly but her answers to questions seem rote.
Great as always
The Doctor answered all of my questions and the office was able to handle all of my needs. I recommend this group and this doctor!
She made me very comfortable and answered every question I had positively and in a way I totally understood. Very happy with her, the nurses that helped me and this office.
VERY quick and easy. She runs through the major questions very quickly. Very robotic, not very warm or interactive, but if you’re short on time, it’s the best case scenario.
She's incredible! Best doctor I've seen.
I am very uncomfortable going to any doctor and Dr. Shah has changed my mind about that. She was so incredibly kind, honest, and professional, she will now be my GP. The office was lovely as well - very little wait time and the nurse was very friendly .
Very fast and punctual. She was thorough but concise. Great experience!
Extremely competent, efficient, and reassuring. Took my concerns seriously and addressed them right away. Excellent.
I thought Dr. Shah was very professional and thorough. During a gynecological exam, it’s definitely easy to feel uncomfortable, but Dr. Shah made me feel at ease. She also narrated what she was doing which definitely made me feel better. Would definitely recommend her.
She was very concerned and manerable. I enjoyed my first appointment.
I am new to Philadelphia and have been looking for a doctor for 3 months now, all with failed attempts. I finally met with Dr. Shah and she was fantastic! I felt extremely comfortable talking with her and she seemed to be very knowledgable regarding all my concerns. She was thorough but also quick, which was great because I was able to get the most out of my appointment in a short period of time. She was very genuine and intently listened to everything I had to say. Will definitely be going back and would recommend to others.
Personable and knowledgeable. Welcomed questions or concerns.
I saw positive reviews and was excited to finally get situated with a physician in the area. I sadly left with a very negative experience. She didn’t ask about my medical history or medications. She took no time to get to know me or talk to be before becoming very personal, she didn’t explain what was going to happen. She seemed nice but in a rush and could care less about this being a positive OB/ GYN experience.
I was in and out in 30 minutes, which has never happened before! Dr. Shah was amazing, kind and treated me with care. So happy I such a great doctor in the city.
I really like coming here. She and the staff who work there are friendly and answer my questions. The office is clean, and it's easy to get to. I make all my appointments here now.
This was my first visit to Stoll Medical Group. I just moved to town and needed to find a new primary care doctor so I stopped in for a physical. The women at the front desk took a while to acknowledge me and generally seemed pre-occupied with other things (they appeared to be legitimately working though, just no concept of acknowledging new people coming through the door). There wasn't much of a wait once I finished my paperwork. This office is huge! I was led around the corner, past another administrative desk, and up another hallway to the exam room. Dr. Shah showed up maybe 10 minutes after I'd be in the room and I was surprised to see a "scribe" following her. With the scribe, Dr. Shah was able to devote her full attention to me without having to stop and take notes along the way. She wasn't judgmental about anything as I gave her my medical history and she was on board with current treatment plans that I put in place with other doctors (e.g.: going to a chiropractor for back/migraine pain). It was actually just great to hear a doctor say she was happy with my numbers since I had a biometric screening and have family history of HBP, heart disease, etc. Usually doctors are OK with the numbers but don't give the added context that my numbers are good considering everything else and that I don't need to be overly concerned at this point (as I usually am overly concerned). Dr. Shah also explained that this office can do annual gynecological exams so I don't need to find a separate gynecologist for that appointment next year (until I'm ready for children, since this office can't do the OB care), so that was great news too! One-stop-shop for me. Overall, it was a great appointment and I will definitely come back if I need to have a "problem visit" or need anything else in the future.
First time seeing her and I enjoyed meeting her and felt very good with the things she was going over. All around great experience
She was very cheerful and straight to the point. Answered all my questions and concerns. I would see her again with no problem!
Dr. Shah is great, very thorough and caring.
Dr. Aekata was great and completed my paper work expeditiously.
She was very informative and willing to go above and beyond!
Clean, bright office with a calming water feature during an extremely brief wait. This is a very well run, efficient office. Dr. Shah was friendly and exactly what I was looking for in a health care provider.
Great! Dr. Shaw was knowledgeable, kind, and offered good, caring advice.
Great visit. Answered all my questions. Highly recommend.
I've always had positive experiences with Stoll Medicsl group. They are thorough and hospitable.
Aekata is incredible, friendly, and understanding.
The best primary care doctor ever
My visit was really efficient and covered a lot of ground. Dr. Shah was very friendly and had a sense of humor. However I did feel a bit rushed, which is probably more due to scheduling.
