I waited over an hour and a half with no apology or explanation. Doctor was condescending and dismissive.
hes not very personable
The doctor seemed short of patience. Didn't take a complete history and was talking to me as if were making up my illnesses although I have been diagnosed and treated for them for over 10 years now. It was very discouraging
He was so rude and dismissive. I waited 3+ hours for a visit that lasted less than 5 minutes. He was rushing and completely negated any questions or concerns that I had. I will never go back there again. I wouldn't recommend him to anybody!
Dr. Meyer was very professional and straightforward. He answered all my questions to the best of his ability.
Nurses were friendly and helpful but appointments were overbooked to a point had to stand in waiting room.p
He has a terrible bedside manner. Quite rude and curt. You wait two hours and he sees you for all of two minutes-- and that is after THREE cancellations on his part. Others may have a positive expensive but he's a doctor I won't be visiting any time soon.
The office was not prepared for my arrival. It was as though they didn't think I had an appointment. Which was made and then confirmed through zocdoc.
He was funny and honest with me. He seems to care.
He seemed not to have any interest in me or my condition whatsoever. He was impatient and obviously wanted to rush through the appointment. He hardly gave me any personal regard; he was anti-social.
It's in a really bad neighborhood of Brooklyn and I had to wait 30 minutes to be seen by the nurse and then wait another 15 until I saw the actual doctor. Spent two minutes with him he said go get an X-ray in his office. I was told the wait for the X-ray would be 45 minutes and then I would have to wait to see the doc again with my results. No thanks!
He was a true professional. I would see him again if necessary.
He was quite pleasant and informative. Good appointment no issues at all.
Very different from some of the reviews I read.. Very pleasant. Everything done in the same office, same day.. X-rays, therapy n saw the doctor as well.. I think I'm going to be ok in their hands
Wait time is horrendous. Doctor seemed annoyed but still helpful.
The Dr. was fine but the wait time was atrocious.
The doctor has no compassion or empathy for his patients, horrible beside manner, appears very uninterested in his job, treats patients as though he's pushing physical therapy for a kick back.
Dont ever go to this dr. NEVER
parking is my only issue
Waste of time. This doctor does not listen to his patients. Arrogant & rude
He was mean , unfriendly and didn't care how he spoke to me. I don't think he should be a doctor
Very professional and polite. Easy to relate to.
He acted like I was wasting his time and that I had no idea what I was talking about. He barely seemed interested, and I felt completely uncomfortable and unsafe.
Great Doctor Call to confirm they are in your insurance network
Let me first start out by saying he smelled like a cigarette factory. It was a horrible experience. You would think this doctor had a huge patient list the way he sped through the appointment. I came into the office to get up to date xrays, a MRI, and some treatment for my knee, and this doctor was asking me for old information. Since I didn't have my old records he could not diagnose me or treat me. I thought that was the whole point of me showing up to see a specialist.
No respect nor reliable in terms of time.
It was bizarre. He has a strange sort of gallows humor bedside manner which is sort of funny but really doesn't take the edge off a twice-broken ankle. When it was time to take the cast off, I sat in the waiting room for a few hours, then when I was invited to have my cast removed I waited for about 45 minutes in the room. While sitting there, the doctor and nurses started frantically rummaging through all the cupboards and drawers. It turns out that they'd mis-placed the saw that they use to remove the cast. Desperate to remove the cast, I got online looking for medical supply stores in the area but wasn't able to find anything. Eventually they turned me away and I had to hobble my way home. Rather than go back I used a dremel to remove my cast myself. I cut myself a bit, but at least I didn't have to go back! It's worth mentioning that the rest of the staff, the nurses and receptionist were incredibly gracious and kind.
Dr. Meyer was both professional and pleasant. It was apparent that he is very knowledgeable in his field. His staff was kind and professional. The office was neat and clean. It was a pleasure being seen there. I look forward to compleying my care at this office.
Dr Meyer was, to my surprise, very friendly and patient. I will definitely continue seeing him.
He was okay but he seemed rushed and wanting to get over with it.
Very thorough and explained anything so I can understand
I wouldn't waste anymore of my time with him. He doesn't listen when you speak.
It's was good
Waited over 2 hours before being seen by this doctor, despite having an appointment. Nursing staff rudely speaks to patients. Waiting room was crowded with few available seats for those with obvious leg problems. Had to give up seats to elderly patients. Best thing about waiting was the tv because my sprint phone had no service. Patient coordinators say, "come!" as if patients are animals instead of politely saying, "you may come this way," or "please come here." 1 hour and 15 mins before I did patient intake. I only stayed for the doctor's note explaining my absence from work that day. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone who expects to be treated like a decent human being.
Modern office and equipped with contemporary machines. Staff were courteous but a little slow. Dr. Meyer spends time to talk with me and explain my diagnosis. Good Doctor.
He was very informative. Although condescending and a little rude. He seemed over worked or overwhelmed.
seem like he was in a rush
They seem to be pretty slammed with patients. As a result the wait is long.
It was a good visit
The doctor was nice and professional. Waiting for an hour and half was not the best.
the physician is great. the clinic is terrible.
He was patronizing and uncompassionate. I had a bad ankle sprain and had visited an urgent care facility that did not provide me with copies of the x-rays, which he found disdainful. He was impersonal and dismissive, after I waited more than two hours to see him. When asked for an estimation of when I could feasibly work again, he said, "That's between you and your work. I cannot predict the future." At the end of the consult he added a note saying I could not work until further notice, and asked to see me again in four days after he could take and review a new x-ray. When asked why I could not forward the x-ray that was taken earlier in the week from UC, he said he needed an x-ray that had some kind of technology which I was unfamiliar with and was irritated when I asked for him to explain what that was. Very disgruntled with this visit.
!!Great!! Kool doc
He was great, the wait time was unbelievable. I waited over 3 hours to have my daughter seen, who is less than a year old. She was not happy. No one in the waiting room was happy. It was an inefficient and exhausting experience. Everyone in the office was very friendly, but why have appointments when you have to wait 3 hours to see the doctor?
Great, direct and knowledgeable
I would definately go see this doctor again.I was actually there for my grand daughter. His staff was very professional and the office was clean. The doctor listened to what I had to say ,and gave me advice on further exploration of my granddaughter's problem. I will definately return. thank you Zoc Doc
He was very good, but the wait was over 2 hours.
There is no point in having an appointment if I have to wait over two hours to see the Dr.
The absolute best. Thorough examination and incredible bedside manner. Explained everything clearly and had sound recommendations for treatment short term and long term. I will see him again in two weeks and would urge anyone needing an orthopedist to contact Dr. Allen Meyers office. His office staff is a group of incredble professionals and handled all required paperwork with aplomb!!
Worst doctor I've ever seen! Impatient and very rude!!
Horrible! Unprofessional staff. Really poor and immature attitudes.Long waiting time. I will NEVER return to this office
Great Doctor, terrible office. there was literally a man that needed to be escorted out of the office through the waiting room, screaming profanity. scary stuff. but once i was in to see Dr. Meyer, he was a very good & professional physician, offering helpful advice for other medical issues i mentioned outside of what my appointment was for.
It was a horrible experience! Waited over 2 hours to be seen for FIVE MINUTES! I'm getting my authorization for an MRI and NEVER going back!
The wait was a way too long. The doctor is great. He explained my condition and gave good recommendations.
Dr. Meyers addressed and answered my concerns. Front desk staff are so loud rude and obnoxious, don't think I would return for my follow up appointment
Unfortunately Dr. Meyer was a major disappointment. Curt, impersonal, unable even to make eye contact. Interrupted my questions. Felt like a number, not a patient. Was hurried out of the room and given minimal advice and consultation. Will not return, nor do I recommend.
I had an appointment for 12 pm,but I did have to wait for 1 1/2 hr to be seen, but he did have a lot of patients...it was okay...it was worth it.
I found Dr. Meyer very experienced and caring, which is very important for a patient who is in pain and discomfort. I actually viisited Dr. Meyer for a knee replacement since the receptionist told me that he does do this surgery. But, he doesn't. Anyhow when he suggested that I should have physical therapy, I was very relieved because that is the proper procedure first for my swollen knee. Thanks to Dr. Meyer.
He seems very cool, I was able to express my discomfort and he gave me different possibilities as to what's going on, he sent me for X-rays do I will see him for the follow up in two weeks
Took the time out to really check to see where I was havin pain at explain things to me very nice and caring doctor
It was good,informative.
Dr. Meyer was very professional and respectful towards my father.
Never again..he was rude and wouldnt let me speak to explain as to why I was there to see him
Dr Meyer is extremely rude, no pleasant facial expressions and low tolerance for listening to the patient's story. I traveled an hour from Queens to his office and was physically hurt after I asked Dr Meyer to stop trying to turn my broken arm during the follow up examination.
he refused to check the cd to check the ct scan, claiming that it would take too long to do so.he was just rushing us to go.
He knows what he is doing and he cares about person 's well being . He has experience doctor.
My visit with Dr. Meyer was very good! He has a pleasant way about him, conversational but professional. He answered all my questions and listened intently to my description of my problems. The front staff was also very good and cordial. Only drawbacks: 1) The office doesn't accept credit cards/checks, cash only and 2: The place I was referred to for X-rays was a little "cold". They got me in immediately (which is a definite plus) but their customer service could use some help. Dr. Meyer was great!
Besides the extremely long wait time and the five minute long lecture I received about my coming to see him without getting a referal first, it has got to be one of my worst doctor appointments ever ... Will most likely never return.
