Great doctor. Took time to listen and very knowledgable. Highly recommend.
Amazing Doc. Actually cares!
The office staff is super friendly, and Dr. Kahane seems very knowledgeable. He asked me questions that made me feel like he really understood what I was going through. He also explained to me what the treatment was and why.
He is a wonderful kind man who really listens and cares!
Very wise man that knows what he is talking about!
So far (1st appointment) seems good. Specifically came for psychotropic management, I have a complicated mix. I am switching off all current prescriptions onto new ones. The new ones are VERY new - so brand only prices. He did give coupons/samples, which does help with costs during the "check it out" phase.
As usual, it went well. He keeps things pretty simple, and relaxed. You can basically talk for as long as you want, and if you don't need a lot of time, that's fine, too. He keeps a close eye on things, and I don't like having to go back every three months, but it's usually not a bad idea and turns out for the best. With me he seems to be unconcerned about exact diagnosis/labeling, but treats the symptoms, and is very willing to work with feedback so that you are happy. He doesn't bat an eyelash when you are unhappy with results, but instead works to change things. It's a partnership of sorts. Anyway, he hasn't steered me wrong yet. The girls that run the office are kind, compassionate, patient, hardworking. They go above and beyond for you, too. Very nice atmoshere.
Dr. kahane was attentive and professional.
He is very prompt and one of the only doctors that I feel truly gets the severity of my ADHD and how much it affects my life.
He's a good doctor with a nice staff. Long wait times, but not all the time- dependent on the day, but I think this is normal at all medical offices these days. I like him very much.
He forgot my name he only said 10 words if that to me and just sat there and stared at me.
Lovely man, straightforward, clear and concise methodologies. Thanks Dr Kahane :-)
Dr Kahane is one of the most passionate and caring psychiatric providers I've ever dealt with. I've been seeing him for 3 years now and have never felt dissatisfied. I recently moved to Tucson from Phoenix and I'm making the choice to drive 4 hours round trip just to work with a professional that I know cares about me.
Kind, Dr who is straight to the point. I have ADHD but have been off meds for years, was looking for a Dr who would listen to what works for ME, he is not a pill pusher. He is not there to discuss your personal life, he has a lot of patients because he's an awesome Dr! If your like me & you know what meds work for you and how much you need, he's your Dr! DNA test everyone talks about that he supposedly forces on every patient isn't true, you can say yes or no. I was not tested and it didn't effect the appointment at all.
I did not see the doctor until almost an hour after my scheduled visit. Dr. Kahane maintained very little eye contact with me during the visit and spoke w/ me less than 15 mins. for an initial visit.
My appointments have NEVER started on time (I'm talking 20-30 mins late) and I have NEVER spent more than 10 minutes with the doctor. Even my very first appointment we barely went over medical history. Also during my first appointment the staff pushed a genetic test on me to 'find the best medication option'. I'm glad I declined because it runs several thousand dollars and isn't covered by most insurance! I'm frustrated because I truely need Dr. K's help and I think he's very knowledgeable, but the practice is poorly run. My pharmacy can never read his scripts and have to call me to confirm or call the office, which pushes back my refill several days because the office staff is so slow. I am waiting for my appointment now and at least three people have walked in saying they haven't been able to reach the office staff because the office didn't answer calls and the voicemails aren't being responded to. I just can't figure out what is going on here. He appears to overbook himself (we're currently ten mins past my appointment and they just called someone else back?) and rushes people in and out.
Dr. Kahane has the personality of a clenched fist, and I felt pretty insignificant. I came there for medications and medication is what I got. So you could say mission accomplished, but in all likelihood I won't be reccommending him. He doesn't present as very caring at all.
Front office staff was very nice. I appreciated their smiles. Doctor discussed multiple options with me and made a plan.
Dr Kahane has helped me so much!
Extremely professional and knowledgeable. Was seen immediately by the doctor. Appointment was straight forward with the diagnosis and he explained the reasoning for treatment. Highly recommend.
It was great.
We feel confident with Dr Kahane. His knowledge and questions were spot on. He is straight to the point and it is greatly appreciated. We arrived early to fill out paperwork and were called into his office 45 minutes after our scheduled appointment. We will return and appreciate his service.
Definitely recommend very nice and helpful
Great Doctor! Been seeing him for years!
Dr. Kahane is a good guy. I appreciated that he was a straight shooter and listened to my issues, and how they got worse with the immense level of stress I have been dealing with lately and then immediately said we could work on fixing it. I'm not one to take medication, but in this case I think it's warranted because I have tried to limp along without it and now am quickly reaching the point where I'm about to drop all the plates I am spinning. I feel like he and I will be working together to find me the best outcome. He spent as much time as I needed. I did not feel rushed. And was seen quickly. The office even called and told me I could come in early if I wanted. The girls in the front are a little disorganized, but they are super nice and will help you in any way they can if you're patient. The genetic testing guy is affiliated with the doctor, but an independent contractor... and you can refuse the test. The guy who does the testing will even tell you he doesn't want to if certain things come up in the conversation about insurance. He also said that none of the patients should be charged more than a certain amount with insurance, and to let him know if I get any other bills. So it's not like this is forced on you or meant to put you in debt.
I love how direct and to the point Dr Kahane is; he knows his stuff.
He was very nice and was straight to the point. He is definitely now my new psychiatrist that I'll be revisting when I need to.
Dr. Kahane is the kind of doctor that listens. He may not be spot on 100% of the time, but if any human could do that, I think he'd be one to try. He has a bit of an eccentric personality, but who doesn't, I mean he's kind, and intelligent, works with you. For this kind of treatment (medication,) it doesn't get much better. His staff is angelic. I'm not kidding. They really go all out for you. I am so grateful for his competent, and friendly, cooperative staff.
Extremely direct and to the point. Tells you how it is, and the best course of action to get to your goals. I will be returning for a follow up.
Very Knowledgeable man. He actually explains to you which medications (if prescribed) do what to your brain chemistry, which to avoid, as well as explains one pharmaceutical drug is most appropriate to accommodate you opposed to an other. The staff is very kind.. they get you checked in and seeing the doctor faster than any other doctors office I've previously been to. Office is kept very clean. Definitely recommend him.
The staff was nice, and Dr. Kahane seemed very knowledgeable. Although, the appointment felt a bit like a trip to the principal's office or something. He's a no nonsense type of person, which normally I like in people but it seemed a bit out of place when discussing very personal issues. Besides that, I got the impression I was in good hands. I got a prescription to help with symptoms immediately, and he gave me a list of therapists for more of a long term solution. Wait time was about 45-60 minutes.
Exceptional services. A+
I really enjoyed meeting with the Dr. Very professional and knowledgeable.
First visit.. was very nervous and his staff is kind and so is he.. they do a saliva test if u have regular insurance... treated me with respect and kindness .. everyone seems very bright and caring
Super friendly office staff and an amazing doctor!
hes a groovy dude
Just my personal opinion I felt like Dr. Amnon wasn't that personable, I almost felt rushed out of the appt & quick to give me another pill. The office & the team were very nice. Everything up until the actual appt. was great.
Dr.kahane was warm and pleasant.. He takes his time to talk to me and listens well.. such a caring person and made me feel better after talking to him.
My appointment went very well. He is a very intelligent man with compassion. I felt immediately comfortable with him. The office staff are very friendly and welcoming.
The doctor was amazing and helped with getting my daughter a referral to a psychologist. He got straight to the point and didn't waste our time with unnecessary treatment. My daughter is 9 and only needs someone to talk to no medication treatment needed. I can appreciate a doctor who doesn't over medicate or inappropriately medicate children. The front office staff was something else. Rude and unorganized. They had taken my husband's photo ID and left it on the scanner. When he had asked for it back they insisted to have already given it back to him. All around lack of professional customer service. My husband is a PA and was appalled by the way he was treated!
I told him I was stressed out and his response was we all have stress and gave me prescriptions. The appt lasted three minutes!
Dr. Kahane is very quick and to the point! Highly recommend if you have a pretty good idea of what treatment you're looking for.
He's pretty good... I like that he gets straight to the point with direct questions. I appreciate that he was willing to give me samples of a medication we want to try before prescribing it.
Hes a good guy, Straight forward, Knows his stuff
I don't normally write reviews, but Dr. Kahane is worth it. He gets right to the point, and to say he's a no-nonsense professional is an understatement. I saw him for my daughter who suffers from anxiety. It was like he was psychic. He diagnosed her right away, listened to what she felt, used his wisdom, medical experience and acumen to diagnose her correctly. As her mother, he also identified something I have been diagnosed with my whole life, and I wasn't even the patient! He is well worth the wait and I would highly recommend him to others. He was also kind enough to suggest psychologists as he explained that medication is can treat only so much; there's underlying issues associated and that warrant more introspection and attention.
Knowledgeable. Straight to the point. Approachable.
Actually the first appt. I had he cancelled when I got there, due to an emergency and the next appt. he met with me for about 10 minutes and prescribed RX without asking about my other medIcine. So, I think I need to look for someone new.
Dr. Kahn listens to me and makes me feel very comfortable! I would recommend her to anyone!
Dr. Kahnsne listened to me, my story and my needs. He listens mostly but recommend a med that has changed my life. I live in Northern Az and drive 5 hours round trip to see him and it's so worth it. Thank you to Dr. Kahane and thank you to the wonderful staff!
He listens and really seems to try to help those who suffer from mental issues by being empathetic. He may not see you for too long, but he knows what hes doing and gets to the point without overloading you on meds
Dr. Kahane listened to my history and my objections/issues with a previous provider. The only disappointing thing was that the effort I put in to filling out new patient information ahead of time (medications, history, etc) was a waste: The office didn't get the data I entered. I figured they would, so I didn't allow 30 minutes before my appointment time to fill out paperwork, nor did I bring my medication list/dosages. Thank goodness for myCigna, as I was able to pull down that information while in Dr. Kahane's office.
Wait time was minimal, as was my appointment with Dr Kahane. The appointment certainly left something to be desired. I had been experiencing some extreme anxiety out of no where, so I was prescribed something to help. It almost felt too easy to get put on a daily pill without much discussion. Perhaps that's just the way mental health works in the US.
Dr. Kahane is great. The wait here is horrendous. I have always waited 45 plus min past my appt time. Its more of a first come first serve which really sucks. The last time they forgot to check me in, after an hour and 10 min I complained to find they forgot about me. The lady didn't seem too sorry, while she said it, it was like no big deal.
Been seeing him for over two years and have no complaints
One big plus+ here, is the staff at the front desk. They are very efficient, friendly, helpful, down to earth, and kind. I have literally, never had a problem with the staff one time. And I have been going there for several years now. They have always been respectful, not rushed to mr, taking their time with me. They make the appointments take the car payments give me samples, give me coupons xcetera. Dr. KAHANE marches to the beat of a Different Drum. Let's face it, if you or your family member is coming here, you probably do too. He's always been kind to me, he has an accent but speaks English very well. Whenever I question why he does something I later found out the reason why and understood why it was for the best. Like if you take something that is a controlled substance you have to pick up your prescription once a month. I convinced him to give me three separate ones to take home so I wouldn't have to pick it up. And then I ended up calling off because I lost misplaced them., and legally he's not allowed to give me a replacement prescription for that. Luckily I found them. He was sympathetic. He's always been willing to try new things, like if I wanted to try a different drug or switch my prescription. It used to be that there was a very long wait sometimes but it doesn't seem like that anymore.
Liked him a lot. He zeroed in on the issues and had sound advice for medicinal therapy
My visit didn't last long but they usually don't when it's a psychiatrist. They are mostly concerned with medication management. I left his office satisfied with the outcome. He's knowledgeable and seems to be genuine
Very pleased with Dr. Kahane & his medical staff.
Great doc long wait
Very personable, fun, and receptive to my comments. He is very wise and experienced. I like his new office too!
Dr. Kahane is an amazing Doctor. He is the only doctor that I have been to (and Ive been to quite a few) that has found a working medication regimine for me.
I literally waited 45 minutes to see him for two minutes! He just writes prescriptions and never asks about my issues!
He was nice, respectful, and professional.
It was a very pleasant first visit. I would refer this *doctor to others most definitely. "
He's very personable with me. Also been extremely acommodating to my schedule. i would highly recommend him.
He is awesome!
Down to earth. Keeps you on track and on point. Knowledgeable and experienced.
Since it was my first visit, I don't have much to rate the doctor on. Nothing bad to say. The staff is wonderful.
Seems like an intelligent man but after waiting more than an hour and a half the actual appointment only took about 10 minutes.
I really do not dislike Dr. Kahane, but I do have concerns after visiting him a few times. I have never been on any medications for my mental disorders and he was very quick to write me several different prescriptions for drugs without telling me of possible interactions or side effects I could expect. I feel very much on my own in this process, and I'm not really sure what I will need at this point. As someone who has never been on an amphetamine, I do not feel like I was well prepared to start taking this medication and didn't know what to expect, which is a little scary for someone who has health-related anxiety. You will end up waiting 45 minutes for a 5 minute consultation, almost every time. It was nearly impossible for me to get ahold of the office to get a refill on a drug that imitates heroin-like withdrawal symptoms if you suddenly stop taking it. I attempted to get a refill for a week, and was going out of town. I finally got ahold of them on the day of my very last pill, which was terrifying. I must have left them 4 different voicemails asking them to call me back, and they never did. When I finally did get a ahold of them, they told me that they had no refill requests for me. I went to my pharmacy 3 different times to have them request the refill. He is an intelligent and kind man who seems like he really does care about you as a person but don't expect to have anything more than a prescription when walking out of his office. While he is not a counselor or therapist himself, if he believes you need one he will be happy to provide you with recommendations.
What an awful experience. I had hoped to find a new doctor, but I will never return. When I first got in to his office, I could tell he didn't even review the pages of paperwork I filled out prior that had all my background. He acted like I was wasting his time. I told him I wanted to get help getting off my medication (Effexor); I had tried before with horrible withdrawals. He told me that wasn't true; that I couldn't have had any withdrawals. I tried to explain my symptoms, but again, he said that it wasn't possible. I felt like crying. He asked why I was on meds in the first place, and I started explaining my situation that stemmed from an abusive childhood. He quickly interrupted saying he isn't a counselor, and discussing my problems isn't what he does. I finally gave up and left. For someone who should be helping people like me who suffer from depression and anxiety, he sure seemed more than happy to disregard my feelings and thoughts, leaving me more depressed than when I arrived.
Dr Kahane is outstanding. If you are looking for a true Professional, I highly recommend making the effort to see him. His office team is excellent as well.
Fast and easy
It was pretty busy so the appts were pushed back a bit but once I was in it was a quick appt. He made it a fast appt without me feeling rushed or hurried. He definitely knew what he was doing.
The Office is impossible to get a hold of, no appointment confirmations and a 2hour wait to see the doctor. No complaints with the physician himself.
Weekend office hours is great for crisis!
Dr. Kahane is great!
Awesome Doctor. Makes the process quick and simple.
Dr. Kahane is professional and accurate. He knows what he is doing it seems and he sincerely wants to be helpful. That is what a doctor should do.
Incredible listening skills. Can't wait for my next appointment!
Thank you Dr. Amnon! I am confident that we are on track and I look forward to our next meeting!
The wait is long but he's an excellent doctor.
Doctor listened to me , made some medication changes, with my agreement. He was not shoving pills at me. For an older doctor he is up to date on new medications. Understood my explanation for how the medications helped or did not help me, rather then some one else's reactions. I will go back permanently.
Dr. Kahane is wonderful! He always gets right to the point and provides judgement-free care which I really appreciate. I was really nervous the first time I went to see him as psychiatric care is something I had never needed up until the last year, but he made me feel comfortable getting help from him. He told me to stop taking a med past doctors had been adamant about me taking and switched it with another med. I was nervous at first, but I trusted him and I'm glad I did because I feel so much better and my anxiety is under control now. A tip for new patients, he can come across a bit "rough around the edges" at first, but don't let that concern you - he is great!
CLEAR & CONCISE. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO "FIX" YOU, PITTY YOU, AND TELL YOU THE WORLD HAS SINGLED YOU OUT, GO ELSEWHERE. IF YOU WANT TO BE INFORMED AND RECOGNIZE THAT IT MAY TAKE YOUR DETERMINATION ALONG WITH POSSIBLE MEDICATIONS TO OVERCOME YOUR "ISSUE" HE'S VERY UP FRONT. I HAD MY FIRST APPOINTMENT 12/15 AND WAS IMPRESSED WITH THE INSIGHT, REALITY AND FORTHRIGHT APPROACH. I WOULD RECOMMEND ANYONE AT LEAST START HERE AND IF THE PERSONALITY ISN'T FOR YOU, OH WELL, MOVE ON. STAFF WAS VERY COURTEOUS. DR. KAHANE IS APX 80 YEARS OLD AND, HAS A LIFETIME IN THE FIELD AND HAS THEREFORE "SEEN IT ALL". SEEMS TO BE MINIMALIST ON PRESCRIBING MEDS WITH EMPHASIS ON EMBRACING YOUR PERSONALITY BUT TREATING SYMPTOMS NECESSARY FOR RELIEF. I DON'T THINK HE CARES MUCH FOR THE WORDS "DISORDER OR DYSFUNCTIONAL" BLANKET ATTACHED TO MOST SYMPTOMS. HE SUSPECTED ME AS ADHD IMMEDIATELY, ALONG WITH OTHER POSSIBLE DIAGNOSES, BUT SAID THAT SEEMS TO BE MY PERSONALITY SO WHY TRY TO REMOVE WHO YOU ARE IF YOU AND OTHERS CAN LIVE WITH IT. I LOVED THAT. ONE LESS MEDICATION IS A GOOD THING TO ME. HE KEEPS IT REAL AND SIMPLE.
I've been seeing him for over a year for anxiety that I suffer from for many years. My visits are quick any convenient for me. I can see him over my lunch hour a few blocks from my work, so no taking time off which is hard to do with my job.
I love this Dr. But zoc doc sucks! The office was closed at my apt time.
I had a highly efficient visit, Amnon Kahane does a great job at listening to his patients and providing them with care. -Highly recommend
Listened to what was going on, understood and offered additional information. Explained things and was professional. Very pleasant with a sense of humor.
Great, I will definitely only use this Dr for my eye appointments!
Dr. Kahane is a soft-spoken older gentleman who mumbles a little when he speaks and shuffles a little when he walks. He has a little bit of an accent, so you have to really listen, but he is kind, accommodating, and knowledgeable. The office environment isn't what I would expect from a psychiatric office... it isn't particularly spacious, stimulating, or comfortable. I was told that they are moving their offices, though, next week so that very well may change. All in all, I wasn't thrilled about the visit, but Dr. Kahane is a very warm person, so I'll be back.
Incredibly terse and rude. Did not care about my symptoms and mocked my depression. I asked what the side effects of the medication he decided to give me were and he said "you could drop dead any minute" which is pretty messed up. Generally dissatisfied. If you know what medication you need, sure go see him but don't expect any real help.
The doctor knew what was going on and prescribed a good treatment that is working. In and out.
The one and only complaint I have is the difficulty of reaching staff to speak to directly
I enjoy every visit he's very knowledgable and insightful.
Dr. Kahana , was very understanding and a great listener ... I'm so glad I went to him and will be back
Spent 2 minutes with the doctor on most appointments. Never refilled my medication after numerous phone calls. Withdrawal from my medication was uncalled for.
bedside manner did not apply
My visit with Dr. Amnon Kahane was good although he personally help me he gave me a list of people that can. He also wants to see me in two months, to see how its working out for me.
Dr. Kahane made me feel at ease and I was comfortable explaining my problems. The wait time was longer than I expected but I felt the visit was worth the wait.
Doctor listened and didn't rush me.
Dr. Kahane was pleasant and ver knowledgeable. The staff is courteous and thorough, and also very patient in regard to me not being quite sure how the process of receiving prior authorization on my prescription works. I am anxious to finally begin treatment and feel that I am in good hands with Dr. Kahane and his staff!
Discussion was brief and to the point. Understood exactly what I was trying to say, and provided good feedback and treatment plan.
he was very helpful.
My visit was wonderful. The Dr. seemed very knowledgeable and listened to all of my issues. His office was full but he never made me feel like he was trying to push me out the door. Wonderful bedside manner.
Good guy. Very knowledgable and easy to speak with. He treated me as a person and not just a patient. Oh and a great sense of humor!!!
Nice a little behind schedule. Staff was nice
I enjoy my visits with Dr. Kahane. He is compassionate and to the point.
I had cancelled this appointment (2) days prior because of a schedule conflict at work.
This was my second visit and I'm very blessed that I found Dr. Kahane. He is very knowledgeable and has me on the right track to feeling better. His staff is all super friendly and helpful as well. I will continue to go to this office and highly recommend them!
After waiting just over an hour past my appointment my 'session' lasted no more than 15 minutes and involved no questions about my past medical treatments or struggles yet ended with a very dramatic change in my prescriptions including the removal of my SSRI.
Good doctor. Right to the point.
Dr. Kahane has a welcoming presence to him that allows you to feel comfortable right away. I felt comfortable speaking to him and I felt that he genuinely cared.
I finally have hope and a new outlook with a plan to feel better! Very excited for my next visit to see how our new plan is working:) I'm feeling very blessed! Thank you Dr. Kahane!!!
patient, perfect, calm, ask questions, not in a hurry.
He was a very wise man with a calm bedside manner.
Dr. Kehane was very pleasant to talk to. He let me speak and share my story and he immediately told me exactly what I needed to do. He was immediately able to determine my treatment and cut to the chase with what the plan of action was going to be. I was in and out in a relatively short time feeling very positive.
I really liked his manner, he is not at all pretentious or arrogant. He seemed to really care to resolve my issue.
I Love, Love Love this Doctor and he has a great sense of humor! I'm so glad I found him and would recommend him to anyone!!
The doctor was busy and had several clients waiting to see him. His staff is professional and they all treated us (my daughter and myself) with respect and dignity. We will be seeing him once per month while my daughter needs the care. I would highly recommend this medical office.
Great doctor. Very nice and caring man. Thank you so much Dr Kahane!!!!
Love Dr. K!
It was good. And he referred me to an in network counselor.
Thank you so much....
Excellent Service from the ladies at the front desk to the doctor evaluation.
Seemed very busy and sort of disinterested.
He has a very Middle Eastern personality; he seems rushed and brash, but his actions demonstrate otherwise. I felt we got along very well, he made informed decisions and wrote me prescriptions that are working way better than anything I've been on before. If you're looking for someone to chat about your cats and family with for an hour, this isn't the doctor for you, see a psychologist. If you're looking for someone with extensive medical knowledge who is up to date on medications and their indications/contraindications, pay him a visit.
Dr. Kahane and his staff are very professional and courteous. He does a good job of explaining treatments and conditions and is very helpful with any and all questions. The facility itself is not in the best of conditions, but I didn't feel uncomfortable while waiting. I would recommend Dr. Kahane and I would grade my experience at about an "A-" to "B+" overall.
I think he is a nice man with a good heart, not arrogant like some doctors. He does listen and does make eye contact, ask questions, for clarification or his own purposes. He makes sure you have what you need and tries to be affectionate (in an appropriate affectionate manner.) He is not always on time, but since all patients have different needs/different needs for time, I think this indicates that he does get behind due to spending sometimes more, sometimes less time with each patient. His staff is great, friendly, down to earth, super efficient. He is not one of these fancy pants places that spends a ton of elegant surroundings, instead everyone watches television (fox, omg! or some reality t.v. shows) in the waiting room. It's homey, clean, efficient, gets the job done. He's progressive, too, but I don't give five stars really to anyone unless i have some kind of major Nirvanuc experience, or it's a super supreme fit for me. Anyway, this works for now. One plus for him is that he listens to ME, my opinion about what is right for me, what I want, does treat you like you matter. bravo for him.
Dr. Kahane is very knowledgeable and straightforward. I trust his judgement and left his office feeling confident in his treatment plan. I look forward to feeling better and appreciate his office.
Excellent doctor. Very decisive and interested.
Dr. Kahane is very good. He has many years of experience and know what he is talking about. I tried to years to find the best combination of medication for my disorder and within my first appointment, he had me feeling better than I had felt in years.
Doctor seems very very knowledgeable. His concerns about my level of care were of highest regard and he actually cared about the way I felt and the medications that had worked for me in the past. Most pstchs I see have their own agenda. He did not and he worked on my issues not his own or the states. I rate this experience 5 stars overall and would recommend this doctor to anyone who needed a psychiatrist who hears their patients. Thank You doctor. I am feeling better due to the adjustments you have made in my regime of medicines. Bless You for being a real doctor!
Solid. The office is a bit cramped and not the cleanest, but it didn't bother me.
Dr. Kahane is very knowledgeable and listened to me when I wasn't sure about a side effect that I was experiencing. He was able to suggest a variety of options to me and ultimately we found the right one.
He asked all the right questions and treated me with respect and valued what I had to say. Very happy with my visit and very glad I was able to see him.
he really took time and listened! did not make me feel foolish for seeking help, and put me on a great treatment plan.
I was truly impressed with Dr. Kahane, he is an incredibly smart man.
I didn't feel like he took a genuine interest in providing an optimal solution for my needs. I spent ten minutes, if that, and felt like I was written off with some Xanax and antidepressants as though it was candy. And it really comes down to bedside manner. I could have spent three minutes with the guy and he seemed to take a genuine interest, it would be a different review I'd be writing; however I felt like he looked at me as factory production, took me off the conveyer belt, diagnosed me, on to the next.
Very attentive and professional. I can tell immediately that he knows his practice/medical specialty to the standards that should be held and expected of all physicians. Quick, thorough and effective. Definitely recommend and will continue to revisit for any other needed appointments.
He is not very personable
Kahane is a professional who means well. This was my first appointment with him. I will be seeing him in the future, because he seems to be very understanding to my illness.
Very knowledgeable, pragmatic and gets to the point. Very experienced and good listener. I'd highly recommend Dr. Kahane
Kind, empathetic and I would highly recommend
I thought he listened and responded. I was pleased with him so far and plan to return.
He is one of those people that have an unusual personality, probably because he's so intelligent. You can see he tries to be good with people, but that's not his thing. Sometimes those two temperments don't mix really. Brilliant and a people person. He's more like the mad scientist type, only calm. He is up on new medicines, and can give samples and coupons for them. He listens to you in the sense he asks a lot of questions, mostly lets you do the talking, then gives his succinct opinion. There is a new test now where you can see (a saliva test) what medications would better agree or work for you. I took that today. The guy came in to his office to have me spit into a test tube. I was kind of dehydrated and felt bad it was taking me so long to come up with enough spit. I offered to let him go on with his appointments while I did that. He said gruffly. "You don't worry about that, just relax and take as much time as you like.." Then I realized, he is gentle and compassionate, but he just doesn't sound like it. He has an accent and is not of this culture originally, so maybe there is a cultural difference in his personality. And he is not joyful; he does not smile a lot; he's very serious. I am doing so much better and getting what I need from him and I am very grateful.
Dr. Amnon was completely professional with a hint of humor which made me feel at ease. I can easily see how some people might not mesh, but that was not the case for me. What I appreciate most was that He's very conservative with drugs so I didn't feel as though he just wanted me medicated and send me out the door. I highly recommend him!
The Doc listened to my concerns & is helping me to get them resolved in a matter that works in my best interest.
I reviewed here my first visit, I really liked him, amazing. The second visit was not as great, only because for some reason, I don't always "understand," him. His demeanor is a little unusual, which is fine with me, I guess like any relationship we are getting settled into communicating. I think he is very intelligent, and maybe somewhat introverted and not great with communication/social talking, but at the same time, he is kind, ethical and attentive. I could see how he'd get misread a lot. Also, when I have had to call the office, and have his staff communicate with him, or my pharmacy, they have been impeccable. He also gives coupons and samples, which is helpful. I'm going back again and my husband switched over to him and is very happy.
He's not warm and fuzzy but he was very direct and seemed well able to understand my situation and suggest a course of treatment.
I've seen him a few times now. Listens to my concerns and suggestions and is direct. The only thing I d
I think he is nice enough. He was a good listener. I will continue to see him.
This was the worst experiance I have had with a Psychiatrist. Waited over 45 minutes with no apology from staff or doctor. Upon entering into my "psyc eval", he asked me about 7 questions then made a diagnosis and writer scripts for some pretty heavy duty meds. The whole process did not last longer that 15 minutes. When he informed me that I had ADHD I asked for a medication that did not contain amphetamines, a request that he ignored. During the evauation he answered his phone and left the room. I was appalled. As someone who works in the Psychiatric field, I am disgusted at how this was handled. The doctor was compleatly unethical and unprofessional.
I was surprised. I had read mixed reviews, but I wanted to get into a doctor quick, (I even had another one lined up for later if he was no good,) which I canceled because I had a good experience. He is very laid back, not in a bad way, but moreso than most doctors I have been to, yet he was intelligent, alert, etc. He was very authentic and genuine, and compassionate, but not pitying. I do not think he read what I wrote in the questioner you fill out. But, he asked all the same questions, and took notes. He asked me how I felt, what I wanted, how I felt about what I was prescribed, if I had any concerns or questions and did not rush me or anything like that. He was very relaxed but direct and to the point, not a waster of my time, either. The office staff was nice and the place was clean and pleasant. I appreciate the online booking thing, very much and the reminders sent to my email and phone. I don't know what else to say about him but I will report back to you all in three weeks after the second visit. He also provided me with a sample of the medication prescribed which is nice in case I have to switch it so I did not have to pay for that, a whole months worth.
He is superb and brilliant.
This appointment was cancelled and rescheduled, BUT I had to return to get my script re-done because of my insurance company's nonsense. Dr. K. and his staff were wonderful. They understand insurance company nonsense and explained to me what happened because I did not understand. Very patient, very kind, very knowledgable! They are 35 mins. from my home. There is a Dr. closer to me. A BIG PASS. I feel comfortable there and there I will stay.
Professional, to the point. Would recommend.
Very nice staff. No waiting around.
i am absolutely delighted i drove from Chandler to his office in Phoenix. after what i have gone through, this Man is a Godsend for me! His office staff is Knowledgeable, wonderful, kind, efficient! His no nonsense , but compassionate approach to me was a relief. now find me a family doctor just like him and i am going to be in all my glory! thank you. Happy Thoughts! Ro
This was my first visit and he was very attentive to my situation and needs. He made me feel important and comfortable. I am very grateful that I found Dr. Kahane!
Wonderful!!!!! the staff is Awesome & very caring. Dr. K has helped me through a whirlwind of things. I would tell anyone to come to this office. N Bergantine
Extremely thorough doctor. So happy I finally found a good doctor.
He is short and to the point and receptive to his patients needs.
He is different. His style would take some time to get used to. But it was an okay experience
Dr. Kahane listened intently to me, and offered good advice, and I got the strong impression that he really cared about me, the patient.
Compassionate, easy to talk to, non judgmental and supportive.
I waited 20 min for appointment - but then only spent 10 min (at most) with the Dr. He seemed pretty dismissive; just wrote me a prescription and sent me on my way. Basically I left feeling distrustful and never filled the script and did not go back.
He's a very good, very experienced doctor. I am happy with him.
Dr Kahane was great! Really listened and knew exactly what I needed. Finally a diagnosis. Office staff was courteous and very nice. Gave me a referral for their counsellor
Dr. Kahane is amazing, ive seen several psychiatrists since i was young an he is by far the best! He actually listens to you an converses back which is very rare! I left state an i moved back an i wont see anyone but him. His schedule isnt crazy an he doesnt make you wait forever. An you dont feel like hes rushing you thru your visit either. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.
awesome practioner, really helped in a time of need, He is extremely courteous and professional and his office is immaculate to a to a healthier lifestyle. Me and my wife love Dr. Kahane!!!
Dr. Kahane was great. He didn't rush me through, listened to what I had to say and asked questions to get to the root of my problem. I felt a lot of confidence in him.
Very good. Concise. To the point
The wait was over 45 minutes. Not only was the room packed with peooke like sardines but I could hear the confidential conversations between client amd dr. also his phone ring during the appointment when I was in there and he let his phone continue to ring instead ofputting it on silent or ignoe. the entire process was on professional
Best MD I have ever dealt with! I will refer everyone I know to him. Very understanding and welcoming. I felt extremely comfortable with being able to talk to him.
He is an excellent, talented doctor. Highly unusual knowledge, perception and ability.
he was great he took the time to listen to what I had to say , and asked informational questions
This was only my first visit but i found him to be kind, patient and professional.
I thought Dr Kahane was wonderful! I had issues with insurance for the prescription but other then that EXCELLENT job
Although the wait time was long everyone in the office was super friendly and it was well worth it because the doctor gave each individual his attention.
everything went well
Highly educated, perceptive....an excellent physician. Have already recommended him to a friend.
After talking with the Dr...I was immediately put at ease, he identified things with me and prescribed meds that seem to be foring for me.
I'm always happy to see him, he has a calming effect.
Straight forward and knowledgeable
This was my first visit and Dr. Kahane has a refreshingly direct approach and an immediate understanding of my condition. His understanding allows for a confidence to be established quickly. A very kind man and a physician that I have quickly come to trust. I recommend Dr. Kahane especially for professionals in high stress occupations. God Bless Dr. Kahane.
He is very easy to talk to & very helpful
He is a wonderfull Dr. I'm very happy to have found him.
He was polite. He was brief for me, yet he gave me a chance to say whatever I wanted to say. He welcomed my input for the medication I wanted and prescribed it to me.
It went very well.
I THOUGHT DR KAHANE WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL, I WOULD DEFINITELY REFER HIM TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY MEMBERS
Ok will know better next appt
