I had a 5:10 pm appointment and was done by 5:40. Very quick! Office space is very nice (Soho Location) and staff is friendly. Dr Spizuoco was very efficient and friendly, but not overly chatty. Very impressed with my visit to this office! Highly recommend!
Very long wait but Dr Luke was efficient and clear.
Very good doctor. Thorough, efficient but also very friendly. I would highly recommend her.
Visit was great but there are two 214 Sullivan and the wrong one lists their office on the buzzer strangely in the lower level - just update the buzzer and the board next door to say, "go next door" not lower level... it's a problem.
Dr. Spizuoco was great! She has a great bedside manner, she really calmed me during my procedure! And the rest of the staff was very helpful answering all my questions.
Very friendly. She answers all my questions/concerns.
The facility is very impressive and well organized.. The staff are courteous and efficient. Doctor Spizuoco was very professional, knowledgeable, caring and helpful. All in all a very positive experience. Paul T.
Excellent as always.
Dr Spizuoco is fantastic. Great bedside manner, really listens to your needs and concerns and offers the best treatment options for you.
If one is to get ones nose carved up, Dr. Spizuoco is a joy to have it done by. Amy and her assistant Diana were terrific and I highly recommend them. And if you can't remember the name of a song, Amy is there with both a learned scalpel and the song title. Todd
Shes terrific. To the point, makes you feel comfortable and is open and honest.
As close to "literally" in and out the door as I have ever experienced! Quick, easy, efficient. Clean office space and the provider was warm and immediately diagnosed my issue and prescribed a remedy.
Doctor Spizuoco is friendly and professional. Would definitely recommend.
Dr. Spizuoco was fantastic - highly recommend!!!
Excellent visit. She was very professional, courteous and personable. Thorough treatment!
no nonsense lady. Good knowledge. Lovely office. Staff at front desk is however badly trained. They do not understand billing.
Very friendly staff and Dr. Spizuoco made me feel comfortable right away. Beautiful office too!
She's really easy to speak with and the entire staff is wonderful.
Love Amy and everyone at this practice. great modern care and comfortable setting. highly recommend.
Dr Amy Spizuoco is my trusted dermatologist. Knowledgeable, friendly and genuinely concerned.
Appointments are quick and concise, I had problems with acne and the treatment cleared it right up like magic!
Dr. Spizuoco and her staff were great!!! Who knew going to the doctor could be enjoyable!
Dr. Spizuoco is very friendly and I love the environment in the office. It's nicely decorated and doesn't feel stuffy like so many doctor's offices. Both of the women at reception were super nice and the nurse who saw me before Dr. Spizuoco came in was great. She made me feel comfortable while asking my medical history questions and took care of everything quickly. I will definitely visit again for my annual skin screening next year.
I love meeting with this doctor. She is the best.
Hated my experience! Worst doctors appointment ever! Will never go back again and will make sure to share my experience with family, friends and coworkers. I came to office to find out about the rash I had on my cheek. The "doctor" told me I have acne which I never had in my life! She spend literally 2 minutes, did want to listen to me, prescribed whatever and told me to come back in two weeks. Most important told me to use the cream daily and to be sure that only 70-80% of the rash will go away! What??! I needed my problem to go away! I ended up visiting another doctor. Apparently the rash was an allergic reaction to a new eye cream that I started using about one month ago.
very professional and courteous. smart staff at the front desk. best in the area.
Very nice and easy to talk to about my issue.
quick and easy
She was great and very informative.
She didn't really check me, just kind of looked at my rash and guess something.... She ended up diagnosing me with a category of skin issues rather than one in particular... Then the office literally messed up the medicine so I haven't received any medication and probably never will
I had a great experience with Dr. Spizuoco. I saw her in the Greenwich Village location, which was well kept and well run. Dr. Spizuoco clearly diagnosed and fixed my problem right away, explaining all the steps beforehand. It was an easy visit. Very fast. I am so glad I went! Thank you!
Dr. Spizuoco is an excellent dermatologist, and she's considerate and generous with her time. She's been extremely helpful on issues ranging from more medical to more cosmetic. She's flexible in her treatment options to find something suitable and effective. For instance, for a somewhat unusual hyperpigmentation issue, she was willing to test a set of treatment options in parallel so that we could figure out one that might potentially work, and to do so as quickly as possible (rather than take the traditional approach of waiting weeks at a time to test each one option serially until hopefully finding one, thereby wasting weeks or months). In short, she's excellent and highly recommended!
She is very efficient, and it's a beautiful office! Good bedside manner. Friendly, helpful, and to the point. Addressed all concerns.
She was literally with me less than 5 min, didn't seem to care of my concerns
She's very professional, caring and listens to her patients.
Dr. Spizuoco was quick, helpful and direct. I was able to see her day of, which made my situation less stressful.
Straightforward and friendly! She took a look at a questionable mole thoroughly and quickly, and I was on my way in like 5 minutes. The office staff is great, waiting room is nicely decorated and the whole place is clean. Glad I found it! Definitely recommended.
I absolutely love her. Both personality wise as well as effectiveness of care. She even came up with a super cost efficient yet effective treatment for my pitted scars and it actually works and doesn't cost me the world!!!!
Pros: Didn't have to wait long to be seen. My appointment was on time. Dr. Amy Spizuoco was very nice and friendly. Cons: Total length of appointment was about 2 minutes (no exaggeration). Screening did not feel thorough.
It wasn't the best following the appointment. It was proposed that I get some small injections but didn't know that it would not be covered in my insurance. I wish they would have mention that it was considered a procedure outside of my visit.
I had come in because I had a skin rash that has been on my chest for a couple of months. I've seen different doctors for it and no one has been able to prescribe something that helps. Dr. Spizouco was able to diagnose it in less than 10 minutes and explained why it had lasted for so long as well as why none of the other treatments worked. She was extremely professional and I would recommend her to anyone that asked.
I LOVE Dr. Spizuoco. By far the best doctor who is very caring and thoughtful. Takes great care of me and is very helpfull. Everyone here is so pleasant with great attitudes.
She was straight, to the point and easy to talk about my acne to.
Dr. Spizuoco was wonderful. She immediately addressed my concerns. She was professional and courteous.
Amy and the staff are all very pleasant and happy to answer questions. The check up is always efficient and a good reminder to take care of my skin from the sun. I didn't have any serious condition or need for procedure, just a standard skin check.
There was another doctor who saw me, but she was very nice and helpful.
Everyone was extremely friendly and professional. I do wish there was a bit more of an assessment but I will see how the suggested prescriptions work! Hopefully from across the room she has a good eye!
Nice office and great receptionist and nurses. doctor was neither helpful nor thorough
Dr. Spizuoco is warm, attentive ,and professional.
As with each time I've been treated by Dr. Spizouco, I'm very pleased with her work, her professionalism, and her caring and pleasant manner. I'd certainly recommend her to anyone.
I received excellent treatment.
I expected she would check me more thoroughly for overall, instead of just looking at spot I was concerned about.
Not sure why she is so highly rated here. She didn't even touch me to inspect the skin lesions I was inquiring about. Not thorough. Found another great dermatologist. Will not even return to her for a follow up.
At first I thought her diagnosis was made too quickly without really looking at me closely but she went and got a print out of what I have and explained it to me nicley.
It was great but they need a Coathanger in the waiting area. Also :clean environment and friendly staff .
Overall my first visit went well. She recognized my rare disease right away and offered new treatments. It was an expedient visit and it is good to know she has treated patents with my condition, many doctors I've seen have missed it.
This is an excellent doctor. Plus, she is kind and went to great effort to do stitches in a way that didn't mess up my tattoo.
Dr. Spizuoco was extremely, nice, comforting and was able to provide answers to all my questions. Highly recommended and will definitely be visiting again.
Dr Spizuoco is a wonderful person and a top notch dermatologist. I have been to very well known dermatologists and I would highly recommend her to any patient looking for a very hands on and personable doctor that cares.
She is friendly and helpful, and the office itself has a very unique decor and atmosphere (high-end hipster?). She seems confident in her medical knowledge and happy to take any and all questions. One thing to note: If your insurance "strongly encourages" but does not require a referral, the billing department here will not accept your insurance without a referral and will charge you out of pocket instead.
Everything from A to Z was pleasant. I look forward to returning!
She was great. The staff was very nice and welcoming. Great visit overall, she explained results and let me ask all the questions I needed.
The doctor told me about the procedure and she performed it painlessly. Thank you very much.
After my first visit, my prescription was never sent to my pharmacy. After my second visit, my prescription was filled out incorrectly, and I had to wait an extra day to pick it up. After my third visit, I was told I was prescribed one medication - only to be told by my pharmacist a week later that I had been taking an entirely different medication that was never mentioned by Dr. Spizuco - and wasn't used to treat my condition. I will never go back.
Very professional and personable and the office staff was also very helpful and nice.
I did not feel like I was heard, she was dismissive.
Dr. Spizuoco was very professional and pleasant. She listened to all my issues and doctor opinions I sought before seeing her and gave thorough feedback. The wait time was about 15 min - so nothing terrible. The office is clean and very nicely decorated. Warm receptionists - Dr. Amy's assistant not so much. Overall great experience.
Very quick and informative consultation with Amy. She was both confident and intelligible in her communication. My only qualm was finding the office itself – certainly an odd location/hard to find.
Great office, great staff, great doctor! Pleasant, informative, and accommodating, all around.
Good visit, she was kind and helpful!
Amazing!!! That's the only way how u can prescribe my last visit with Dr. Amy Spizuoco. I was 10 minutes earlier and she was able to attend me right away( even though it was just for a follow up). My first visit was 3 weeks ago and she was amazing, it was a short waiting time and the staf there starting with the girls in front desk were very polite and trying to make me feel comfortable as much as possible, wonderful staf!!!My doctor was a very pleasant, she carefully heard my concern and made me a couple of question. Took a brief look at my face and gave me a prescription (which is working very well). Very happy with my visit there, I would definitely recommend Dr. Spizuoco.
Great doctor, professional, experienced and super gentle. I highly recommend Dr. Amy Spizuoco!
I would recommend Amy as a person, but the office is a bit over the top. Maybe it is just my insurance but the co-pay seemed extremely high for 15 minutes of a doctors time.
Dr. Spizuoco listened carefully and gave brief but clear explanations, and answered all my questions without seeming to be in a rush. I haven't tried her instructions for treatment of my skin issue yet, but based on the visit alone, I recommend her!
The Doctor was kind and clear with her thoughts. She suggested a treatment that could be done right then and there! I felt comfortable and happy that I had chosen this Doctor. She answered all my questions and was authentic. Highly recommended.
Really nice women who genuinely seemed to listen and care about my concerns. I will go back.
Amy was fine. But I waited an hour to see her. I sat in my underwear for an hour in a tiny room that was way too hot. AWFUL experience. Some should be fired! Ruined my day. When I finally saw her I was getting dressed back to my street clothes and by that time I only had 10 mins to discuss my issues. I had to leave and left with the worst feeling about the experience.
Amy was both thorough and professional. She answered all of my questions patiently. The medical assistants or med students who were involved in my appointment were also professional and friendly.
Dr. Spizuoco was great. Her staff was really nice and even offered me a cold water. Their office is very inviting and I was suprised when I walked in. Looking forward to going back.
I am a registered nurse and from my perspective she was very professional, quick and to the point. Answered all my questions honestly and explained everything she was doing. Would definitely recommend.
Very professional, patient, thorough; pleasant - actually very cool - office environment and staff.
Satisfactory and quick!
Very knowledgable and very professional.
I wish that the exam room had been cleaner - the chair, floor and cabinets all need a scrubbing and, there was no place to put my clothes.
No wait at all. Very professional and got the job done!
Professional and efficient. That's what I hope for, and that's what I always get with Dr. Spizuoco.
Was in and out very quickly—have been here three times and each time I've been seen by a different person, who is training yet another person and only say a doctor (Spizuoco) once.
The office is very trendy and well designed. The woman at the front desk was extremely helpful and nice, offering me a beverage. It was difficult to find because there are actually two entrances with the same address and was very confused. I tried calling the office to figure out how to get in but no one answered the phone many times before someone in the first entrance told me to exit the building and walk next door to the doctor's office. There should be some sign on the first entrance directing people towards the correct one. Otherwise I had a very good experience.
Great doctor, very impressed by skills, knowledge and attention.
Dr. Spizuoco is always very knowledgeable, attentive and helpful. She explains everything and runs on-time. Highly recommended.
Dr. Spizuoco was clearly very knowledgeable and skilled, and I would highly recommend her. My only complaint is with the office. When I called to make the appointment. I asked for an appointment with Dr. Buka, who is the only doctor I have ever seen in his practice since I have been coming these past several years. They gave me the appointment with him, but when I showed up, he was nowhere in sight and I was seen by Dr. Spizuoco. The office should have told me I would be seeing a different doctor or asked me if that was okay.. Since it is Dr. Buka's practice, it clearly benefits them not to tell people in advance that they won't be seeing him,, which I feel is unethical.
This doctor barely looked at skin. The medical assistant took all the information, she came in, gave my skin a brief glance and then recommended a cream. She was also very annoyed by my questions and seemed ready to get the interview over with. I have visited 2 other dermatologist in NY and this is the first time one was so dismissive. I won't be going back
I was very impressed with Dr. Spizuoco and her staff!
I've been going to her for about 2 years. She is an excellent dermatologist, very warm and friendly, and never forgets anything about my case. She has been able to give me free samples for most of the creams she's prescribed for me. Both of the downtown offices are nice, too.
Tidy and modern office. Was seen right away.
She was amazing! I have been going to Bobby Buka since February each time seeing a different derm because my original one wasn't available and because my problem persisted. I was really frustrated. I have to say, I saw her on Wednesday and I can already see a considerable difference. She took the time to really listen to me and explain the treatment to me. She was open to any questions I had and most importantly didn't rush anything. You could see that she really invests in each patient and treats their issue as a unique one. I am really thankful to have found her and I would 100% recommend her.
Overall, from reception to the treatment to leaving, it was an excellent experience.
She is nice but very quick. It didn't feel that personal when I was there and I am comparing this to other specialists. At the end of the day does the job, I guess.
Don't go to the Soho location. I cannot speak for the other Bobby Buka locations. Easy to get appointments but there's absolutely no follow up. When I returned to get my results they had me waiting for an hour while junior staff went over all my details again (hi, why are you here today .... ?!?!). After an hour the doctor came and explained that they didn't have my results yet. No apology but saying something about my insurance (United) and the lab (LabCorp). So I left without anything but a promise that they would call me as soon as they have the results. They never called me. First I had to call multiple times over the course of 3 weeks to finally get answers. Final verdict: practice makes lots of appointments via ZocDoc but doesn't deliver at all. I am a fan of ZocDoc but this experience made me yearn for my old dermatologist where it took two weeks to get an appointment but once you saw him you had his full attention.
Dr Spizuoco was very kind, and I would recommend her if you are looking for any type of acne treatment or other skin medication; however, I would not recommend her if you want a thorough skin screening as it felt a bit rushed.
Love her! On time and very sweet. Also, very helpful and professional.
Absolutely LOVE Dr. Spizuoco and her staff. Everyone is so kind. Very little wait and get all of the time i need. HIGHLY recommend :)
Straight to the point, very nice!
I loved meeting Dr. Spizuoco. She was attentive and even SAT down and made eye contact while she listened to my concerns and questions. I felt like a real human and not rushed, even though the visit was brief. She was patient and reassuring as well, and instantly had suggestions and advice for some of my concerns. I didn't feel brushed off at all. I was able to get in and out and back to work on time. Much much much appreciated.
She was very nice, and pretty quick
My visit with Dr Spizuoco was great. She is very efficient and clear. The office is well appointed and comfortable.
A comfortable office, Dr Spizuoco was very thorough, answered all my questions, related to past issues I had. She has wonderful bedside manner and most importantly provided the right remedy for my ailment.
Dr. Spizuoco was in the room with me for probably a total of one minute. She gave me medicine but I wish I learned more from her rather than just receiving a prescription and being sent out the door. She was nice, though.
Timely visit. Dr. made what could be an uncomfortable situation very comfortable.
She was great. Good listener. Right to the point. Made me feel comfortable.
The doctor was unaware that this was a follow-up visit, and clearly had no interest in consulting my file. The doctor recommended two different prescriptions, one of which was never written. When I called to inquire about the missing prescription, I was treated rudely by the reception and told that I would have to make (and pay for) another appointment in order to speak to the doctor. I would not visit this office again.
This was my second visit to this office. The sole purpose was for a procedure that I'd been given a specific quote for. I was told that the procedure could actually be done 1 of 2 ways. In the first visit, only 1 option was presented. It was also explained that there were risks associated with each - again, this was not communicated in the first visit. Dr. Spizuoco was nice and helpful, but the office did not honor the quote that was presented to me in the first visit and seemed unorganized.
Dr Amy Spizuoco was very professional and payed close attention to my concerns.
Dr. Spizuoco was wonderful! She listened carefully, and addressed every question I had without feel rushed like so many Drs these days. All of the staff was extremely friendly yet professional, and to top it off the office was decorated better than some apartments I've seen.
It was a great visit she gave me information about what i was allegeric to she was polite anf courteous
5 stars fro Dr. Spizuoco, every time.
Very professional and personable.
Dr. Spizuoco was so kind to my sons and made them feel comfortable. We didn't even have to wait 5 minutes before we were seen, it was wonderful. The office staff is kind and friendly.
The office is so clean and modern and the front desk staff is really friendly. They had my Zocdoc check-in forms printed when I arrived. Dr. S was knowledgeable and kind. Highly recommended!
She was very good at what she does! Quickly helped me diagnose my illness that another medical professional had already gotten wrong and then answered all my questions. Very good, very professional!
She was quite concise and efficient with diagnosis and treatment plan while being very professional and warm. I would def. recommend her and the Derm offices to friends, family and colleagues.
Great doctor, throughly checked my moles and freckles for a routine check up
Thrilled! Highly recommended.
Very brief, but two the point. I don't have much experience with dermatologists, but more than any other medical practice dermatology seems like a pharmaceutical middleman (although my girlfriend did just remind me of how important the practice is for detecting skin cancer). I went in, was told what I knew for the past 6 months, and received the prescription I needed. Dr. Spizuoco was very professional. She did take the time to carefully look at my mysterious skin condition and even left room for me to ask questions. It seemed like there was no rush for her to move on to the next patient. Very brief and to the point, unlike this review.
Dr. Spizuoco is straight forward and knows what she's saying and doing.
Dr. Spizuoco spent all of five minutes with me and behaved the whole time as though she had a train to catch. She wrote me several prescriptions without so much as asking about my skin routine, and she immediately dismissed the concerns I had about the treatments she'd prescribed. I'm annoyed that I spent time and money on this appointment, as I now have to schedule something with a professional.
Amy was amazing. So wise and helpful
Lovely. It was a great visit!! She introduce herself and shacked my hand. That hand shake alone took away the anxiety of a 1st visit. I look forward to my 2nd visit. Way to go Doc!!!!
This review is for Dr. Spizuccos's Sullivan Street practice ONLY. Perhaps one would have a better experience at one of her other offices. I saw Dr. Spizuoco to treat a rash on my face. I was a first time patient as my insurance has recently changed. The front desk staff was not impolite but very dismissive and the girl I booked my follow up with was more interested in ordering lunch either her colleagues than assisting me. The wait time was okay, and the Dr diagnosed me quickly and accurately- I did feel like she rushed through her time with me however this is not unusual for a popular dermatologist. I spent the majority of my time speaking with her medical assistant, who I should note was very helpful and kind. My problems vega when I left the office- I was told at the pharmacy that they had neglected to call my insurance to pre approve my prescription. When I called the office, I was put on hold for a long time and the girl I finally spoke with said she would let me know if we could switch it out for a generic, and they would try to call my insurance then get back to me. Two days have passed and I have heard nothing- after taking the time to see the doctor, I still have no prescription and there is still a rash on my face. I am not sure if this is the fault of Dr. Spizuoco or the front desk staff at the Sullivan Street office, but my guess is the later. Due to my experience I can not reccomend this practice.
Overall great visit. Office is brand new, and wait time is short. Dr. Spizuoco came in and knew exactly what was wrong. Recommended!
Dr. Spizuoco was so informative, explaining everything simply and thoroughly.
She seemed to care less about my skin breakout, lacked empathy to my situation, prescribed medication that wasn't covered under my insurance. Bad vibes all around.
She is amazing. Her bed side manner is one that should be taught in med school. She is truly a professional. Thank you so much Doc.
Dr. Spizuoco has a great bedside manner and immediately put me at ease. The wait time is short and the office is clean. Highly recommended.
She's very nice and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend!
She's the best. Period.
She was very efficient and knowledgable, as well as professional and kind. And my skin looks great, so hooray!
Staff is rude, unprofessional and looks like they have no idea what they doing at the desk. They didn't even call me about my insurance. Well if you can't do your job let someone do it for you. Worst experience. Good luck
Very professional doctor. She is very nice, thorough and I would highly recommend her to anyone in need of a dermatologist in NYC.
LOVE Dr. Spizuco! So Gentle and friendly!
Seeing how easy and quick it was made it painless! Since I work at ZocDoc it was great to see how easy it truly it is!
Everything was fine.
Really appreciate how Dr. Spizuoco is always on time and has evening appointments! I've struggled with acne for years and Bobby Buka has been able to reduce the number of meds I'm on and completely clear up my skin. The MA who worked with me was also on time and friendly. Thanks!
Dr. Spizuoco was seeing my 10 year old and was treated him with kindness and made him very comfortable and not afraid. She also addressed him not just me as the parent.
The doctor, whom I've seen several times now, is great. The wait time at this office is terrible. I've now waited close to an hour several times with very few other patients in the office. I get the impression that sometimes they schedule appointments for well before the doctor is on site.
This was my second appointment with Dr. Spizuoco. I, saw her for the second time because i was comfortable with her. She,was patient, easy to talk to and in general had an above average bed side manner. We are having difficulty diagnosing exactly what my condition is and this is a concern. She has explored different treatment modalities and I am not sure if my condition is so rare or there is a lack of information on the doctors part. I, will continue to work with her for at least a few more visits before I make my decision. I , must state that the doctor have my blood tested and a biopsy was taken in an effort to diagnosis my condition.
I have seen Dr. Spizuoco many times. The front desk is not always perfectly reliable (I've had a few hiccups with billing over the years), but the West Village location seems to be the best of the various offices and Dr. Spizuoco's care is well worth the occasional inconvenience. She's the best dermatologist I've ever had, bar none.
Very attentive and sensitive to patients concerns.
The nurse was extremely thorough and holistic in asking me about my conditions. Amy showed genuine concern and provided me with a variety of solutions. I felt slightly rushed but overall the experience was positive.
I would probably not go back to this office. I waited an hour even though no one else was in the waiting room, and they didn't update me or apologize for the wait. They seemed very taken aback when I asked if waiting an hour is the norm.
Finally I have a doctor who knows what's up!! Dr. Spizuoco is the 4th dermatologist I've seen because the others misdiagnosed my condition. Amy didn't even flinch in her diagnosis, and she was extremely down to earth, punctual, and sympathetic. She treated me like a patient, not a number. For the first time ever I was actually excited to make a follow-up appointment because I now have confidence that given her treatment plan, my condition will be dramatically improved the next time I see her. Amy- thank you!
I was seen right away with very little wait time. Introduced herself and very polite. All my questions and concerns were clearly answered. I look forward to my next appointment.
She didn't even come up to do a check. She was standing 10 feet away and just prescribed meds without trying to identify or look at the affected area. Horrible Doctor
She knows her conditions very well. Visit seemed rushed but she made the diagnosis immediately so it was okay. Very nice and pleasant individual and great office.
I am very pleased with the treatment and my doctor
I saw Dr. Spizuoco for a very simple procedure and she was friendly and to-the-point. She seems like a person who enjoys her work, which makes for a nice environment. The practice she works at is very clean and modern, and the staff are friendly. There are several doctors at the practice, so you will have to tell the staff if you want to see a certain doctor for any follow-ups.
Didn't make me feel comfortable. I have a higher understanding of medical terms because I grew up around several doctors. I also know what a good client intake is like and how to conduct a thorough analysis. She didn't do either. When your patients are of higher level intelligence, you can't treat them like they don't know any medicine. She didn't really provide a recommendation for treatment and I will have to make another appointment with someone else. Great office staff, trendy atmosphere, but I would NEVER go back.
Dr. Amy spoke to me for maybe two mins at most and didn't make any effort to diagnose the issue - just prescribed medication right away. Waste of my time!
Horrible bedside manners, unhelpful and treats and speaks to patients with in a derogatory manner
I only needed a Rx refill, so my actual visit with Dr. Spizuoco was quite short, but the overall visit to the office was great. Really cool space!
So so. Like the office but might go see a diff doc thete
She seemed to be in a rush. However, she prescribed the right medication and took care of me promptly.
Dr. Amy Spizuoco was amazing. she was very patient and through answered all of my questions put me at ease. It was my first appointment and i lo ed the fact that she did my treatment that day, unlike most doctors that make you come back for a second visit. During my treatment she explained everything she was doing while, her medical assistants are also very kind and comforting, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER TO ANYONE!!! I will definitely be going back. Did I mention the office is very nicely decorated and clean!!!
She was very nice and throurough
I am always pleased to see Dr. Amy Spizuoco , she is so kind and very concern about her patients . I am in her loving hands !
Dr. Spizuoco is great she is personable, she took the time to explain my treatment and she treated me as if I were a friend, highly recommend !
If i didn't ask any questions about my skin the entire appointment would have been 1 MINUTE. I felt very rushed.
Very clean office, efficient staff, the medical assistants are very nice, and welcoming. Dr. Spizuoco is competent, and well mannered though her business like demeanor leaves a bit to desired. She shows no interest in her patient outside of promptly diagnosing, and prescribing treatment for their ailment. Needs to work on her bedside manner. A little warmth, and compassion go along way.
Dr. Spizuoco was friendly, knowledgeable and got right to the point. The office is clean, comfortable and quite stylish. Highly recommended!
Dr. Amy was pleasant but I had to wait forever to be seen
Loved her! She was thorough and explained everything very clearly!
Dr Amy Spizuoco was quick and to the point. After answering some questions to a nurse, and then being examined and describing the problem to a medical student Dr Spizuoco came in and took a quick look based on the information. While it was concise and clear, she did not hesitate to answer any of my questions fully and thoughtfully. Also the office is beautiful. Never seen a doctor's office that has so much art and appealing furniture. Great place, knowledgable doctor and was done very fast.
The office is very trendy and nice. I was kept waiting a little bit in the exam room. The doctor came in with 2 interns. My appointment was short but I felt a bit rushed. And there were a lot of people in the room so it was a bit difficult to discuss my concerns.
She is personable, professional and makes you feel instantly at ease. She is equally engaged when discussing medical topics (mole checks for skin cancer screening) as she is about more cosmetic matters (melasma treatment w laser therapy). Would def recommend to a friend or co-worker.
Came to see Dr. AMY SPIZUOCO because I needed something minor removed from my back . The procedure took 5 minutes and I was told the issue would not happen again. After receiving a very high bill for something that took 5 minutes, the thing I had removed came back. Dr. Spizuoco refused to do anything unless I paid another fee. Not only did she refuse to take care of the situation, she also refused to see me face to face, claiming that she would have to charge me for medical advice. I was completely scammed by this practice and will never ever go back here. Please avoid this place at all costs...its not worth it. Not only am I upset about the unprofessional-ism with the doctor, the receptionist also seems like she does not have a clue what she's doing. She asked me 3 times what my name was and what I was calling for and also hung up on me mid conversation. On top of a terrible doctor, the last thing I want to be dealing with is unintelligent staff members.
Dr. Spizuoco was lovely, laid out a few options for treatment and helped me come to a decision that I am happy about. I was late to my appointment due to train troubles, and front desk receptionist was wonderful! Was able to see doctor within 10 minutes of my arrival.
As a physician, Im a pretty tough critic. Dr Spizuoco was fantastic and the office is really great!!!! Highly recommend her.
She is super sweet and i'm so thrilled with my results.
Dr. Spizuoco was easy to talk to and seemed like a good listener with good bedside manner. The visit was very short, but I'm chalking that up to efficiency. I'll definitely be back.
During my entire 7 minutes with Dr. Amy, she stayed 10ft. away from me, like I had leprosy. She deflected my questions anytime I would ask if acne could be caused by certain foods. I asked about the rash on my arm and wanted to know if it would be an allergic reaction, but she left me with "Well everyone has 100's of allergies." (Very reassuring) She made no effort to even observe closely or offer any types of tests. I had to ask if there were tests available, and then it was left in my hands to choose, without any clarity, knowledge or context of what these tests were or comprised of. She barely even took a look at my face. It seemed like she was in a rush, and all that she could afford to do was prescribe topical treatments for any and everything. This was a very disappointing experience. I don't visit dermatologists often, but I' pretty sure most of them usually try to make a greater effort for their patients, especially 1st time patients.
Sadly I have no insurance & was a little scared of having to pay out of pocket again to see a doctor after having a not so great experience the last time I needed one but Dr.Spizuoco put my worried to rest. She was very friendly & welcoming. Her nurse was great as well. She took one look at me, knew what was wrong, how to help me how & answer all my questions.
Dr. Spizuoco was nice and a fine Dr., but this is the second time I have been to that dermatology office and both times it felt more like a factory than a personal appointment. This place just cranks people in and out.
Dr Spizuoco is an excellent, caring, professional Physician. I could not have made a better choice. She spends all the time listening and giving whatever advice is needed more than any Physician I've ever been to. She's and the rest of the staff there are awesome!
I wish more offices could be like Dr. Buka's, and more doctors could be like Dr. Spizuoco. Highly recommend this office if you're are picky and selective about your medical team. A++++!
Amy and her staff were very kind and attentive. I had a large pimple brewing a few days before my wedding, and Amy provided treatment that was quick and relatively painless. I wish the wait time was a bit shorter (I waited over 30 minutes), but it was my first visit to the office, so paperwork could have been the cause of the delay. I plan to return for my next check up.
Fast, tentative and straight to the point.
Very friendly and empathetic. Great beside manner. Made me feel very comfortable.
She's very quick and efficient and definitely doesn't waste time. She's not going to sit and chat with you for an hour, but I feel confident that she's thorough and really does care about her patients. I've seen her twice now and will absolutely go back!
After my biopsy I had to call two weeks later to get my results despite the dr telling me that someone would call me either way with the results. Someone called me back and said everything was fine and I should come in so they could see how it was healing. Then about a day later the dr called and told me everything was not fine and that I should come in. She had no idea that someone else called and told me everything was fine. She did acknowledge that this was upsetting and apologized. I came in and everything worked out, but due to this highly unprofessional office I will find another dermatologist. In general, the office seems more concerned with being trendy when in actuattlity it's a medical office that deals with people with very real and serious medical concerns. I felt like I was being brushed off and dismissed in most of my interactions with staff.
Awesome overall. Helpful visit in a great office.
Dr. Spizuoco is a compassionate, sensitive, and super-sharp dermatologist. You can't go wrong by scheduling an appointment with her.
Dr. Spizuoco is amazing. She spends as much time as you need with you. Never in a rush to get out like so many in her profession. She's fantastic!
Great!!! My child has autism and ADHD and he did very well with her.
Dr Spizuco is one of a kind. She is not only personable, but knowledgeable and gentle. She really takes the time to walk you through procedures using layman's terminology so you understand everything. Highly reccomended!
She is extremely nice and knowledgable, always takes time to explain.
Professional, efficient, friendly.
Very pleasant, friendly and informed me of what she was doing to treat me.
She was quick and explained all the options thoroughly. She focused on making sure I was comfortable.
The appointment definitely felt rushed. I waited 30 minutes past my appointment time just to talk to her for less than 10 minutes. She looked at my visit history for symptoms and most likely knew my acne was on my forehead area, but it did not even occur to her to ask me to lift my bangs -- it basically felt like she gave me prescriptions without actually looking at my skin. Then I told her I have tried the medication she was about to give me previously and it did not work last time, plus it had a bad side affect. She reacted very blandly and indifferent to both comments and prescribed the same exact medication despite of what I just said. I have no idea if this prescription will be effective this time around, but her communication style and the way she chooses to ignore my concerns certainly did not convince me.
The appointment itself lasted less than 5 minutes. I've never had my skin checked before. But the doctor did not talk me through what she was looking for, what she was even doing, or things I should look out for. She gave me a pamphlet as if I couldn't do my own research on the internet. The whole point of going to the dermatologist is to also get a consultation. I don't even really trust that she looked at my skin thoroughly enough because it was so quick. I would not recommend her because she seemed to care more about getting the appointment over with than actually providing quality care. Not to mention, my insurance only covered part of the visit so I ended up paying for what I feel like was a waste of time.
Very pleased. I made an appointment for my wife to see Dr. Spizuoco.
Always a pleasure to see Dr Amy Spizuoco!!!
The doc was pleasant, but felt I felt rushed. I waited a long time. Billing needs help. The have my insurance. In fact I'm looking at the insurance record for paying them, but I also got a huge bill (says insurance paid $0) in the mail. Now the fun is calling them to get billing resolved....
Dr Spizuoco was very personable and professional. She answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns without ever making me feel rushed. Her assistant was friendly and warm was was the front office staff and they put me at ease instantly. Overall it was a pleasant experience and I highly recommend Dr Spizuoco.
It was my first time visiting a Dermatologist and I couldn't be any happier about my experience with Dr. Spizuoco. She is so warm and welcoming and made me feel so comfortable discussing my skin problems.
Excellent experience. This is the first time in my entire life a doctor was on time for the scheduled appointment. She may have even been 5 minutes early. Dr. Spizuoco was great. An excellent physician with a great personality. Very thorough and equally efficient. A decisive diagnosis without a lot of sitting around.
I really liked the office vibe and how close it is to my office. The Dr. was quick because I went for a specific reason, but overall very nice. The wait was really long though. However, I would most likely go again and recommend.
Always thorough, empathetic, and informative. On occasion there are issues with getting refill orders in on time, but other than this there are no problems to mention.
Great visit! Very helpful staff from front desk to physicians asst to doctor. My appointment was for a nervous 3 year-old and they did a wonderful job of making him comfortable.
Awesome! Booking follow up right now :)
The office has a very modern and cool look. The male receptionist was pleasant and gave a great first impression of the office. Dr. Spizuoco was friendly and straight to the point. Diagnosis and treatment was issues quickly! Was able to run over and be done within my lunch break.
The nurse that helped me was very caring and understanding about the nature of my situation. While, Dr. Spizuoco was also understanding of the case, she only saw me for a few short minutes and seemed anxious for the appointment to end. The overall, experience wasn't terrible but I will not be returning to this dermatologist.
I was able to see the doctor right away. She was knowledgeable and had a very nice demeanor. I would definitely return for additional consultations.
it was a very easy offie to get to and it was very hip and pleasant inside. I was seen right away and the Dr. addressed my concern quickly. Simple as 1, 2, 3
Dr. Spizuoco was great. She was kind, thorough and easy to understand. Amy was patient, listened carefully and was able to make a diagnosis. Five stars. Her clerical staff, while friendly, were a bit inefficient. They failed to send my insurance/finance form to the right office location and later called me out mid-appointment (and undressed) to sign paperwork.
Very smart, listens well, concise
I would definitely give Dr. Spizuoco another shot as my Derm based on her bedside manner, the office (which is gorgeous) and the great staff, unfortunately there was some sort of mishap with their schedule and I waited in the room for just over an hour. Did I mention the staff is amazing and the office is beautiful????
did not address issue
It was a nice clean place very profession but it was too quick dont think she paid much attention to the issue and just prescribe me a cream.
As soon as she walked in the room, she prescribed two medications. She did not ask about my facial history, diet, etc. she also offended me by assuming I was a child, and I'm certain her earlier actions were because of this misconception.
Dr. Spizuoco was great! Fast and great bedside manner
I ended up needed more than one treatment, which might have been avoided with a bit more attention on the first visit.
the buka dermatology practice is top notch. i have never found a better dermatology team and rarely found a better practice. they work as a team and the support staff and the associates make their patients their number one priority. no other practice in New York comes close to the excellence of dr. bobby buka and associates. amy spizuoco is EXCELLENT. GREAT EXPERIENCE WITH HER AND HER STAFF.
Second visit. Office still beautiful. Staff still efficient. Doc. was great. Would go again. Face clearing up beautifully.
The visit was great, Dr. Spizuoco was very nice and knowledgeable. Office staff was helpful and nice.
Doctor was competent - not super friendly, but I'd rather see someone who knows that they're doing than smile & hold my hand. Wait time was not ideal.
My visit with Dr. Spizuoco was absolutely professional. I was very satisfied with the visit. I just hope the worst case scenario does not come to fruition. I highly recommend her and the entire office.
The office is pretty. Offered water/seltzer. No hassle and the front desk people were polite and efficient. Dr was great. Maybe ten wait in the hall, ten minute wait in the room. Not the longest I've ever waited. Quick glance at my problem and quick diagnosis - hope she is right! Definite recommend.
Well, I went for skin screening so my interaction with the Dr was brief (less than 5 min), but it was pleasant enough. The reason I wouldn't recommend this office is because of the receptionist. The women at the front desk- the first person you see at the Dr office, the person with whom you will probably spend most of your time at the office talking to- was impolite, unwelcoming and repellent. If I or someone I know have a skin condition that receptionist would be the last person anyone would want to interact with. Disappointing customer service.
Dr. Spizuco is a gem! Her bedside manner is fantastic. She is extremely patient, and more gentle than any practitioner I've had in recent memory. She was not pushy. Her knowledge and light, sensitive approach certainly made me feel comfortable during my procedures. I highly recommend her!
I was very pleased with my visit to Dr. Amy Spizuocco. My wait time was minimal, and she was extremely helpful and informative. I would highly recommend her.
Cool surf motif. Made me feel like I had gone to the beach rather than the doctors. Thanks for being so rad! (shaka brah)
I love Dr. Spizuoco! Plus, her staff is always nice and friendly. This is a great practice :)
Nice office, friendly staff. Doc Spizuoco was friendly, and quickly helped me with my issues.
I thought Dr. Spizuoco was smart, sharp, made quick decisions but gave me the information on why she thought what she did, and treated my worries with concern, but didn't make me panic. I'm looking forward to seeing her again!
One of the most modern and artistic doctor's offices I have ever been in. They were quick, very nice, and very professional.
She was good, I wouldn't say 'wow', but I wasn't getting any expensive procedures, it was only a skin exam through my insurance. She did a relatively thorough examination and that was that. Very professional. I guess only thing was I felt like she could have been a little more through in making sure she had checked all my skin for pre-cancer, I felt like she was a little rushed.
Possibly everything went wrong. I went to see her for small red rashes. The office wait time was over 1 hour, but when I finally got to see her, I saw her literally 2 minutes. In and Out. This snobby doctor came in with an assistant girl and didn't even bother to look at me in the eyes and kept talking to her assistant instead. She simply prescribed me an anti-itchy ointment, which I didn't even bother to use. I later found out that the itchy rashes were reaction from bug bites, which this doctor never even mentioned as a possible cause. This office is clearly geared towards and very much focused on welcoming cosmetic procedure patients, rather than dermatological problem patients. I will never to go back to this office again unless I have any future plan to turn myself into a plastic barbie doll.
Dr Spizucco is a wonderful person and a knowledgeable and caring physician
The office was welcoming. The staff and doctor were friendly and professional. I would highly recommend.
Amy was efficient, personable, and knowledgable. She was able to offer solutions. I look forward to seeing results and our follow up!
She was extremely quick with me and I didn't feel like she was very thorough with my skin check at all.
Amy is great, honest and experienced for the treatments I received
Office is very cool. Amy Spizuoco was very nice and to the point.
Polite. Kind. Quick. Understanding. Helpful. I love the office set-up.
Professional team and knowledgeable doctor!
Dr. Amy is awesome. She is very knowledgeable and thorough. Her staff is great too.
Overall good, just a long wait time (~25 minutes) for a checkup that only took a few minutes.
Good service but takes more than an hour of waiting before seeing the doctor.
Amazing Staff and beautifully decorated.
The Dr is great. I have seen 3 different doctors in the practice and have liked them all. However, 2/3 times I have waited for what I think is an inordinate amount of time. This last time, when I arrived, I was told that things were going on time and yet it was about 40 minutes before I was actually seen. Dr. Spizuoco was excellent and I probably will return for that very reason, however, the wait time is very annoying.
Waited half an hour for a rushed consultation that lasted no more than 3 minutes. Not recommending.
Very fast, friendly, efficient. Thanks!
She was very kind and fast. The office was lovely and home like.
Great doctor and will recommend her to my friends and family
She was friendly, cordial, personable, and professional. I was made to feel comfortable the entire time and would highly recommend her.
Everyone (receptionist, Physician's assistant, doctor) was so pleasant and welcoming. I went to their office on Sullivan St and it was clean, modern, and very 'West Village.' Really liked it. They took me in right away and Dr. Spizuoco was very friendly and thorough.
Ms.spizuoco asked plenty of questions...took her time suggesting a plan of action...and explained everything thoroughly. Her assistant jasmina was professional.
Dr Amy Spizuoco has good bedside manner and was overall patient. However, my whole experience with Bobby Buka Dermatology was very unpleasant and disappointed. Before my first visit, I told their staff about my insurance plan and they said they were in network. But after two follow-ups, they told me it was not covered and I had to pay for everything I received from the previous visits. When asked if they have a department where I can ask for refund, the front desk staff only gave me an email address for their billing department. The staff whoever behind that email used "as I was not present at the time of your check in I am not sure what was discussed between yourself and front staff" as an excuse to be not responsible for the mistake/misinformation that their front desk representatives gave to patients. After that, he ignored my follow-up emails asking for explanations of this mistake. After all of these, I decided to switch to another doctor. I requested Bobby Buka Dermatology to fax my medical record to my new doctor. Once again, I explicitly told their staff the time of my appointment the next day(also signed release form) and they promised they would fax it before that time, but they didn't, even after my appointment. I called again, they said "due to some miscommunication". I have to say after seeing these irresponsible actions I won't recommend this provider to other patients.
Dr. Spizuoco was extremely friendly and knowledgable. I went to see her for an emergency, but will definitely be making her my primary dermatologist from now on.
Dr. Spizuoco was very professional, kind, and understandable. I will be seeing her agian.
Had a great experience. The doctor and her assistant were both very friendly and warm. They addressed ll my concerns and made me feel very comfortable. I will definitely be going back.
The offices were really cool-looking and everyone was very warm and friendly. Recommended!
Dr. Spizuoco is great. She is friendly and personable and remembers the smallest details about her patients - everything from your medical history to your new haircut. Her office is also styled beautifully - just an extra bonus. Highly recommended!
Very helpful and made me feel at ease.
It was just...meh. She didn't exactly make me feel comfortable, but not uncomfortable either. And finding the place is like finding your way out of the hedge maze in 'The Shining.'
The Dr. was prompt and the facilities were clean and friendly. She was professional, well informed and very helpful. Loved her!
She was very nice, did a thorough job doing a skin check, and asked me good questions about relevant family history.
She's was wonderful great doctor ;)
I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Spizuoco and her staff. I was seen at my scheduled time, received the necessary care I needed, and am already planning on scheduling my return visit.
I waited 55 minutes for a 10 minute appointment. Besides the obvious, no one came in at all during that time to tell me what was happening, which is frankly the least they could do. Afterwards, the doctor was in and out and did not do much insofar as explaining what was happening, but I knew what I wanted done anyway so that is not a big deal to me.
A great visit in a really attractive office space.
it was a very great experience. I filled out my forms online so I didnt have to waste time doing it in the office. The doctor then wrote me a Rx for a skin cream i needed.
Front desk girls could have been a little nicer but the doctor and assistants were very comforting during my procedure. She's a great doctor!
I loved the office and the doctor. Everyone is friendly.
Dr. Spizuoco took a lot of time to assess my case and addressed all my questions. Overall very professional run practice. Would recommend it to a friend!
I would recommend her if you're looking for someone that's cares.
She is very cold, and even don't look at my skin closely. The appointment literally took 2 minutes. I had to stop her leaving the room because I had more questions, and she looked annoyed.
Great office off Bleeker. I felt a little rushed, but considering I was the last patient of the day I'll let it slide. Dr. Amy knows her stuff and answers to all of inquiries and detailed courses of action. Very nice lady as well. Would highly recommend.
Had to wait for over an hour for an appointment which lasted less than 10 minutes. She was incredibly apologetic, but it was still a bit frustrating. Incredibly nice, though!
I felt rushed and a bit like maybe I was wasting the doctor's time. That was a real shame considering I went because I was concerned about my condition. She was trying to be pleasant enough but I felt like she couldn't wait for me to leave and I was only with her for five minutes!
Excellent practice. Amy Spizuoco is a great doctor.
she is the best
Dr. Spizuoco is excellent - caring, knowledgable and easy to talk to. She addressed all my concerns, didn't rush and made sure I understand the issue with my skin. Highly recommend her as a dermatologist !!!
Everything was really great (office, atmosphere etc), and Dr. Spizuoco was very nice, just a little but curt. I felt a bit like she swooped in and swooped right back out. I got in the room, she got a brief synopsis of my situation and went ahead and prescribed me with a medicine. She didn't really ask me a lot of questions about my visit, but she did have some solid and knowledgeable answers for the majority of my questions.
it was good
Very professional and knowledgeable. Answered all questions. Very patient.
Awesome, trendy fun office, Dr. Spizuoco addressed all of my questions and concerns, they gave me samples and write down my skin care regimen. Awesome!!
She was good!
Quick, concise. But maybe a little too much. Then again, since there wasn't anything wrong, maybe there wasn't much to say.
Dr. Spizuoco was quick and friendly, and answered all my questions thoughtfully. Her staff is also really nice as well. The office has a very modern feel - it doesn't really look like a doctor's office, but they were nothing but professional and friendly!
This was lady was great. Would recommend her to anyone. The place is amazing.
Funny quick and cute
The staff are great! Especially Sadie (sp?) She was a real help the last time I was there, even though I was unable to see the doctor. Dr. Spizuoco appeared afraid of me, even though I was the one naked from the top-up. She was friendly, but offered no real help or solution to my problem outside of what I've already been trying for years. My only option is to save up for expensive procedures that aren't covered by my insurance, even though it greatly affects my career. A genuine smile would have been nice - maybe 'deer in the headlights' is her regular look.
Dr.Spizuoco was fine but I just felt she was a little bit cold compare to other doctors I have seen. She was polite but not so friendly. My impression was not bad but not good. I would go somewhere else.
I thought the receptionist and Nurse's aid was extremely friendly and helpful. I felt that the Dr herself was very cold and didn't really examine my skin or ask me any questions. She just gave two prescription's and sent me on my way. I felt very rushed once in the exam room and there was nothing to read in the waiting room or exam room.
A great discovery and a lovely doctor. She took good care of us I will return to her for all my dermatological issues. The front office is clean and efficient as well.
Dr. Spizuoco was courteous and professional. She did a thorough evaluation and I was satisfied with the overall visit.
First visit...awesome! The appointment was for my 16 year old daughter...she likes her, I'm ecstatic. It's hard pleasing a 16 year old with an image to uphold. I highly recommend her.
She is really nice person. But she was call other paiences before me. even they came after me. Maybe they are private patiences. It is not respect for other patiences. If I have a medicaid it's doesn't mean it's free, of course gonna get a lot money from the insurance company. I don't know why she did it to me??? And I'm not sure is that her office or not. Coz even she don't know where is prescription papers. And she didn't print a prescription for me. She said, they gonna call a pharmacy closed my area. But they didn't call the pharmacy. I've spend 2 days to get without medicine. I don't know, how are they working... It's not professional job.
Doctor was running late, but staff was very apologetic and helpful; when I was seen, the doctor was fantastic, very nice, good bedside manner, and my appointment never felt rushed even though she was running behind. Have found my dermatologist.
Brand new office in convenient location. Office staff friendly - offered bottled water! Doctor was quick and nice and thorough. Would def recommend!
Ughh I love her so kind so patient. Yet so knowledgeable. I was so happy with my visit. With the office everything was really great, I would definitely come back here, theyve done such a good job that i havent had to go back
Very sweet and understanding lady, and they didn't take long to call back my pharmacy.
I would have had to wait 2 hours to see this doc...office very small.only a fw chairs, nothing to read...Patients' comfort is not a high priority with these people
she walked in asked my symptoms and gave me an accurate diagnosis she new things about my symptoms just by looking at them i felt comfortable and relieved once i left.
Great office and staff. The doctor was very kind and helpful.
She was great. Very sweet and quick.
