Dr. Dureja is very kind and professional. I was late to my appointment and the reception staff was still very accommodating and understanding (unlike most offices). I didn't feel rushed at all. Dr. Dureja took her time to understand my injury and explain the healing process thoroughly. She gave me an injection to help with inflammation - I hate shots, but she kept me calm! I'm seeing her again in a couple weeks for a follow-up appointment and I feel comfortable knowing I'm seeing a great doctor! Highly recommended! Thank you, Dr. Dureja!

Dr. Dureja was very nice and professional. She asked a lot of questions and was very succinct with the procedures that needed to be taken. I had to get a shot and she applied a freezing spray first to make it less painful.

She was pleasant and they had an in office X-ray which was convenient. However, she didn't offer any info on what type of additional care I could do (eg PT) but jumped straight to ordering an orthodic. Also, the orthodics come as a pair and when I asked her opinion on why I needed one for my "good foot" she didn't offer much of an opinion. Based on my own internet research I think her approach is right but I didn't get much out of the visit aside from a script for an orthodic. She seemed to be following a script/routine rather than really considering what was going on or passing that along. Didn't instill confidence.

Bad experience! I went to this doctor for a severe (very painful) foot blister. The office is downstairs in a basement. If you have a foot problem this presents a hugh challenge going down and up that flight of stairs. Not to mention dangerous. The treatment for a blister is to cut an incision allowing the fluid to drain. Before and during the procedure I explained to the doctor that I was experiencing severe pain. I requested something to numb the pain or at least ease it while she was draining it. She kept making up excuses why that would not work. After the blister was drained I was still experiencing pain. She acted puzzled - telling me I should not be in pain. She had no solution and made me feel like I was wrong for having pain. While all this was going on her staff member kept passing making jokes and looking at my feet. = Not professional - BAD EXPERIENCE!

She was lovely, I went in at 1 pm and was seen right away. I had a piece of glass lodged in my foot and we took care of it right then and there with some anesthesia and a simply probing procedure, and got it out! Very thorough, I'm seeing her again to follow up, and look forward to it.

Pros: - Dr. Dureja herself is pleasant to deal with - Front desk staff that you deal with when you walk in are nice Cons: - Other doctors cycle into the room sometimes when you're seeing her, a little awkward and unprofessional - I never felt like she remembered me even though I saw her a bunch of times - I had some questions regarding my insurance and they were rather unhelpful and rude, unfortunately.

I've seen this doctor twice and although she's a good doctor, the wait time (between 30-60 minutes) is untenable for me. Unfortunately I'll need to find somewhere else to go.

I saw Dr Dureja repeatedly over the course of 9 months for treatment, so I had multiple opportunities to experience her care. I chose her for the convenient location, but in retrospect I would have rather traveled an extra 15 minutes and gone to someone better. The office was dingy. At one appointment in the waiting room there was a bandage on the floor in the shape of a finger. The waiting room is loud — they play top 40 music out of an old stereo. Finally, there aren't enough chairs in the waiting room so sometimes you have to stand, which is not a great situation for people who have foot problems. In terms of bedside manner, the doctor was not open with information and didn't help me understand the procedure I underwent. Before the surgery she was nonchalant about what I would experience, which turned out to require months of recovery. Afterward I had to drag important information about things like aftercare out of her. I felt like I was bothering her by asking her things like spelling the name of the antiseptic she told me to buy from the drugstore. I never got in to see the doctor in under an hour. I started asking for early morning appointments, but then on occasion she would arrive late to the office so it didn't really help. Also the office is cash only.

I think that it was one of my poorer decisions. Maybe this is the standard for New York but it was definitely one of the shadier offices that I've been to. Had to pay cash for everything until missing the invoice that was sent after I'd moved from my old address when I was asked for a check. It happens. Dealt with it. They waited AGES to cash a check from me and then made me pay the return fee (a month ago I made moves to close this account so it has been empty). Dealt with near harassment whenever I was called about it, asked the same questions over and over again as if I was lying (heaven forbid someone MOVES in New York city). Really, five star treatment. The best. At least I've got this great leather version of arch supports that I could probably find at CVS. Oh, I mean "custom orthotics".
