Qualifications and Experience
Dr. Hon has been caring for patients for over 15 years. She actually takes the time to listen to her patients to get a better understanding of what ails them. Dr. Hon is trained in Family Practice and completed her residency at Lutheran Medical Center, the first family medicine residency program in New York City and one of the first in the nation. She offers screenings for cervical cancer (pap smears) at her office. A big part of her practice consists of Acupuncture and Alternative medicine, treating patients for women's health, reproductive health, anxiety, carpal tunnel syndrome, low back pain, shoulder pain, headaches, smoking cessation and as an complement for weight loss.

The doctor was nice but the office is disorganized. The office is dark everything seems outdated. My appointment was a while ago but I decided to add this comment to help others. I looked for another primary care physician because I was tired of this office. I only went back because it was convenient and close to my job. I've had several appointments and I think I only saw Dr. Hon once. The other times I was seen by a different doctor and his personality was dry not personable at all.
I found Dr. Hon to be most professional and very attentive to my needs. She was very assuring and knowledgeable. The office staff unfortunately are the exact opposite, rude, pompous and clueless. They tried to charge me a lot of money to fill out pre surgical forms. This was not her doing but the greedy owner of the practice. The owner also charges a full visit for a phone call to the MD as well as a call to the pharmacy to refill a script. Don't get your blood drawn here unless you don't mind being a pin cushion. Dr. Hon was very understanding and drew my blood without any incident.
Excellent care and very professional. Would recommend
I didn't feel like she was listening and she scolded me like a child when I asked her to repeat herself.
Very patient . Great bedside manner . Realist . Understanding
She's was closest
Dr. Hon's office has to be one of the worst doctor visits I have ever had. The staff is rude, unprofessional, and unreliable. They also charged my insurance for services I did not receive. I am in the process of filing an insurance fraud claim. I do not trust anyone in this office. I have been to this office a few times and every single time it was a nightmare. The front desk workers are always arguing on the phone with patients. I had them complete a insurance form to fax to my employer. The front desk woman promised me she would fax it in and never did. I called to followup and was lied to on the phone that it was faxed. So she told me she would email me the form so I could fax it myself. She never did. I went to the office to pick it up and was shocked to find that the form was never even signed by the doctor!!! I booked an appointment originally because it was close to my work and always had available appointments..now I see why. Its worth the wait to see a better doctor. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!
Dr. Hon is always professional ad kind.
Nice, friendly and professional.
Traumatic, unprofessional, heartless, arrogant , her way or the highway . Devil's Doctor (doctor)
Loved the doctor, but wait times are an issue. My first appointment it took over an hour and a half to be seen. The follow up visit I waited about an hour.
She was straight forward and right to the point. Was very neutral mannered. We discussed my problems and came up with solutions quickly:)
Rude and unprofessional office staff.
Very kind and professionnel
I've been seeing Dr. Hon for a few years now & have always thought she was great!
Awful doctor! I went for an annual physical and all she did was bloodwork. I asked her about other things doctors check for during normal physicals but she was dismissive. Also, the staff is not professional. I don't feel that I received good enough medical care both times I went so I've since found a different doctor who is thorough
she was really good I felt comfortable with her
I found this doctor on ZocDoc and I will never go to another doctor without speaking to a friend first again. The place is extremely disorganized, the receptionists are unhelpful, one of the machines they were using broke after I had already waited for an hour and forty-five minutes and I have had to go back three times. They also have terrible bedside manner. I've never complained about a doctor or one on ZocDoc but this place is the absolute worst and I will never go back.
Great doctor, patient and explains thing very well. Front desk staff is pleasant.
Staff was friendly, but the doctors were very cold and impersonal. Will try to charge for anything and everything.
The office is messy and each room feels cluttered and messy - taped signs on the wall and equipment plugged in on chairs. The nurses weren't very clear about what was needed as they came in and out of the room - did I need to change, what did I need to put on the form. Dr. Hon is very nice but I was only with her for a few minutes.
Not my favorite. I didn't feel all that comfortable and the nurses were kind of rude. They never got back to me with any of the results. Wouldn't recommend.
she is always professional and diligent. she answers and all your questions with patience.
She called me, one day, to let me know that I have diabetes--and when I asked her my last name, she realized she had the wrong chart. At some point during my check-up, someone had to be reminded to put both(!) of their gloves on, to take a blood sample. When leaving the office, it seemed that too many of her friends are employed as assistants, and they all spoke, presumably tagalog together, and after the secretary joined-in, she asked if I was, "good to go," I explained to her that it's actually her job to determine whether or not I'm good to go.
So glad to find a place where I felt comfortable.
The staff is really polite. My doctor is lovely and she takes her time to answer all the questions.
Very professional, caring & diligent in her screening.
told me to come in for a shot, did not have the vaccine on hand. who does that?
Doctor made assumptions about me with no real questions. This was my second appt and probably my last.
She's a good doctor and she helped me. She just has a straightforward manner of speaking but she gave me what I needed so thank you.
Dr. Hon has a great beside manner, but I think on this day she had many appointments and seemed rushed. She is caring, and straightforward, about her diagnoses. However, the office isn't so organized. When I visited the office had lost my files so I had to fill out everything again, as a new patient, which took some time.
The clinic is a little dark, The Dr. Angela Hon is not nice at all,she came late, and she did not care what I told her about the symptoms. When I tried to show her a name in my mobile phone (the scientific name of the disease) she got angry without any reason and did not want to hold the device and began to raise her voice!!! After I finished, I went to do the blood test. When I'm done, I wen to the reception I was surprised that there a fee for the vaccination from. NO ONE TOLD ME ABOUT THIS! Even thought I showed the from to the doctor and the nurse, and non of them told me. I was surprised that there's things that are not covered by insurance, and when I tried to talk to them, they gave me an unconvincing excuse that they tried to call me on my phone before the day I came and I did not revive their call!!. And this is not convincing because I was all the time in clinic! Why they did not told while I was in the clinic! OR Before I sew the doctor or before they took my blood!! . They DID NOT say anything? Why the silent ! and they just spoke at the time of payment. Worst clinic!!!
The office is a bit outdated and the dim lighting wasn't really doing it for a medical office. The nurses/receptionists were not the most professional. It seemed like there was one person who didn't know what was going on and would interrupt other people who are in the middle of things (like drawing my blood) to get answers. Visit with actual doctor was especially considering it was my first visit and I wanted a check up.
Overall very disorganised. Doctor arrived late without any apologies.
Very nice, went over all my questions.
The nurses who came in before her were extremely bad. Didn't know how to take temperature, use thermometer, and were very disorganized.
Doctor is nice but in the rush. Not very thorough.
The doctor was pleasant enough but the office is run like a used car dealership. They look to bring you back again and again so they can charge you for each visit, run over an hour late, want to bill for a two minute phone call to receive test results, and take days to get results back to you when they say they will call right back in 10 minutes.
Dr Hon and Dr Merchant are excellent, personable, and very professional physicians, and Kimberly (front office) is friendly, caring, and very knowledgeable. I am very pleased with the practice.
I am a patient of Doc Hon. Excellent is the best word to describe the practice. So thankful. I often obsess about health problems but she has been amazing.
Doctor- Not very informative, not the best of bedside manners, slightly cold and distant. Office- Staff was friendly enough but unprofessional and a little pushy (I was told to use their office computer to change my primary care info to them (which I get why now) but I didn't understand at the time but they were very pushy) Overall it was fine, I've had way worse, but I did find a doctor's office that I'm much more comfortable at!
I love Dr. Hon!! So glad I found her!
Dr Hon was nice enough. Dr said she would be right back and left me in the stirrups for like 10 minutes which was uncomfortable. The staff was a bit rude. I'll go for my follow-up. But not again after that. Also the room they take blood in doubles as the lunch room ?
take a look at my injury and sent me packing. didn't tell what i should be cautious about after the injury and told me search the web for the specialized doctor. I under it's a snow day but i am paying for information i could have googled myself.
Unorganized, disinterested. Despite filling in forms, got asked the same details again. Took blood pressure but didn't do thorough check of all symptoms as a doctor would eg listen to chest, take temperature or check ears, throat etc. reception staff dreadful.
They had me come back for two follow up appointments for test results. Every time I showed up they had no idea why I was there and I had to explain to them how they required me come for a follow up....
Dr. Hon was fantastic. She recommended some herbal teas for lingering sinus troubles, and was incredibly patient with me. I will definitely return!
She spent time addressing my concerns. Felt very comfortable with her
Do not go here! First, the staff committed a HIPAA violation in that they printed my receipt on a document which had patients' confidential information on the back (I pointed this out to them, gave it back and requested a new receipt). Dr. Hon insists that you wear a surgical mask and she wears one too. Terrible bedside manner. I am completely horrified by my experience here.
They use various docs at the office and one of the docs is not good at explaining results or understanding what you are asking for. I feel that this place is unorganized and they never follow up.
Angela did not seem warm and a bit annoyed she was even in the office. I had to wait long to see her also. I wouldn't recommend her.
My visit with this office could of been better. The wait time before being seen was about 35 minutes and I was "the first patient" The receptionists are not attentive to the patients. After being called into a room, the physician assistant was extremely slow and not very knowledgeable. Then before the doctor came in there was another 10 minute wait.
Everyone at the office was so sweet and nice. I felt comfortable right away, which is big as I feel anxious going to the dr's. Dr Hon listened to what I had to say and my anxiety slipped away. The nurses were great helping me get trough the bloodwork. I recommend this place strongly.
The nurses and staff were not very friendly. I felt rushed. I was not told the results of my blood pressure. I was then sent to another office within the same building for X-rays and had to wait almost a hour to be seen.
Strongly recommend. Totally professional.
Run down office, zero bedside manner, uncomfortable to be in. Don't recomend.
I thought it was great.
the only negative thing about this doc's office is her medical assisting staff. they are cold and indifferent, and won't listen to anything you say. I told one nurse not to tell me my weight at least three times but she did it anyway. Another one, when she was getting ready to draw my blood, completely didn't listen to anything I said about my history of passing out during this procedure. I told her I was going to lay down. When I did it she couldn't understand why I was doing it and told me that to sit up. like, I JUST told you. Other than that, Dr. Hon was probably the best doctor I've ever seen. But she really does need to think about getting some new staff.
I went to see the doctor for a few issues. I do not have a primary care doctor, so I try to get a few things checked out when I see one. There are three people at the front desk that seem too busy talking to themselves or about each other, then to let you know what's going on or how long you have to wait. The nurses or assistants are not very professional and do not seem to be able to know how to work the computers right to find your information. Also, there was someone else's information on the computer screen left for me to look at when I went in the room. They should be careful with private and personal information! I just hope my file isn't on the screen for people to look at while waiting for the doctor. My room was also not cleaned before me and they had to do it front of me when they called me back. The doctor was not exactly the friendliest/happiest dr and seemed stressed out or something. Doctors have a stressful job but usually most doctors I go to try to make you feel comfortable in some sort of way. The whole visit took just over an hour and I was the only one that was in the waiting room when I walked in. Lots of people frantically working there walking around the front and was just boggled as to how the practice was run and why everything took so long. Oh, when I mentioned i went to see the doctor for a few issues, she only addressed one of them and the visit was over...by that time I needed to go back to work and didn't want to go back out and ask her to come back to see about the other things I came for(which were minor anyways), but wish there was a bit more time spent, especially since the wait was so darn long.
If you have other options do not go to this office. Facility is mostly outdated and hot (no air conditioning, one fan). Staff is generally uninformed, my main issue is that I went in for a pre-surgery consultation, which they knew, and after completing the exam and trying to get the paperwork filled out they informed me of a $60 charge to do so, for effectively taking a minute to checkmark boxes. I had never heard of this charge but they were generally unsympathetic and wouldn't do anything about it.
I think she is great informative and patient. She is now my primary physician
The office was petite and neat. It wasn't busy like your typical clinics with kids running around, parents not paying attention and some sticky substance under your seat. The staff were friendly. The doctor though, barely cracked a smile or said much. Everyone has a bad day though so I'd go back.
I would not recommend this clinic. It took two and a half hours to have my one page physical form filled out for school. Everyone at the clinic was unfriendly. Every form the doctor signs cost an extra 30$ on top of the appointment cost and I still have not been able to get a hold of the doctor to hear my results from my blood draw. I had my blood drawn two weeks ago. This has been on of the worse experiences I have had at a clinic.
I visited Dr. Hon because I got similar issues to my family members. Just want to check if it was the same reason. After providing the info, Dr. Hon ask for the conclusion of the doctors who checked my family members. She was quite unhappy and rude when I couldn't say the medical term. She even didn't check my temp though I told her I might have a fever. It appeared that she make judgement based on other's conclusion, and very impatient. The waiting time was also too long even I had made appointment and filled in the forms online in advance. Very unlikely will I visit there again.
She's very knowledgable and thorough. I appreciated how much time she spent speaking with me.
Shabby office, some difficulty communicating with the staff. The attendant who took my bp, weight, etc wasn't able to articulate instructions (english was their 2nd language) and didn't seem to fully comprehend my symptoms (ex: I listed 3 symptoms in order of importance and they only acknowledged the 3rd). They didn't take my temperature when I said that fever was one of my symptoms - that would seem like an obvious test, no? The doctor thought that I was only coming in to obtain prescription meds - I made it clear that I wanted a diagnosis and if meds were truly needed. Very bizarre experience.
I thought she was very professional and knew what she was talking about. She also listened to my concerns and gave me thoughtful feedback.
Professional and very pleasant
Doctor wasn't very friendly, but the staff was nice!
If was good. Her staff was attentive and efficient. They performed several tests very competently and thoroughly.
Staff was friendly and funny and very efficient. Dr. Hon was great!
It went very well and in very easy location.
The staff was running around like headless chickens. I had to get bloodwork done and got pricked by the needle in three different spots by 3 different people. Are those actual nurses or students?! I was highly uncomfortable and visibly in tears. Staff did not make me feel safe and comfortable. First and last time here. Waited >1 hour to get to experience some sort of hell dimension? No thanks.
i booked a physical but all she did was listen to my lungs, look in my ears, ab exam and take blood samples. No gyno exam, breast exam or urine sample. I'm used to a much more thorough exam when I've seen other doctors. Also, her medical assistants need training. She couldn't properly use the scale to weigh me so I had to help her adjust it. She was also very clumsy with the blood pressure. I don't trust this office with my health or accurate results
The staff were awful. Screwed up the bloodwork a few times and were generally incompetent administering various tests and answering questions about them.
She was very polite and listened carefully to all the details of my symptoms and wasn't hasty in drawing any conclusions, but weighed the probable culprits so that I could have a more educated understanding of my own body.
The office was dirty and disorganized. The nurses were gossiping loudly and seemed inattentive. Dr. Hon was cold/borderline rude, and totally lifeless and uninterested. She asked me very few questions, spoke very little, and wrote down prescriptions after spending maybe 2 minutes with me. I wanted to ask her a quick question about refills before I left. I had literally been with her a second ago and knew she was still in the room, but when I told the nurse I had a question, she went over to the doctor and came back telling me she couldn't speak to me now and would call me later, which didn't happen. Oh well, at least I got the prescriptions I needed.
Great experience! Quick service, professional, and caring.
Great location, seen right away, professional with warm bedside manner.
Friendly and fast staff
I thought office staff was very efficient. However, did not feel that the doctor was paying attention nor cared about my symptoms. Felt the symptom inspection was not thorough and the diagnosis was robotic. I would not recommend going to this doctor to anyone and will not be returning.
No problems-quick and efficient.
Very small office which is good because the wait was no time. The staff is pleasant, doctor seemed to be in a rush and I left feeling rushed. But this is my second time seeing her and my first time she took her time to speak with me and go over any and all of my concerns
I have never been to a doctor's office where the dress code was so casual. The medical assistant was wearing flip flops! Flip flops?!?! They made me wear a face mask to protect other patients from my mild cough, which I guess was reasonable, but flip flops? Flip flops are meant for the beach and not for a professional environment especially when it is snowing outside. Right away, I didn't feel like I was taken care of here. I sat in the room that I was put in for nearly an hour before the doctor came. After waiting for about 45 minutes, I began pacing back and forth in my room, deciding whether I should just walk out or not, and then the medical assistant walked by and asked, "oh, the doctor hasn't come yet?" This made me wonder, does the doctor know that I am even here? Finally, she came in, and I consulted with her about my concerns and she told me that my illness was most likely viral; however, she was going to give me antibiotics 'just in case' it gets worse, so to take the antibiotics at that point to cure what she assumes is "viral." After that, I had given up on trying to get her to actually give me good medical advice and just asked her to prescribe me some eczema medicine for my eczema instead. At least, my copay was worth something if I got that.
I was very disappointed in this visit. They were extremely inattentive and rude. The nurses repeatedly asked me the same questions after I wrote them down and verbally answered multiple times. The doctor came in for approximately 45 seconds. As I felt as though I was coughing up a lung, she didn't even check my throat until I asked her to. She used a stethoscope for a second, not nearly long enough to actually hear anything, and took a quick peak in my ear. I will NEVER go back to this doctor's office again. I have never felt more irritated by a doctor in my life!
I had a pretty good visit. Dr. Hon was polite and helpful. Her nurses were slightly disorganized, as was the office, but able to draw blood in one try. I filled out patient info online before going in but had to fill it all out again on paper in person.
Every one is not professional and not confident in this clinic..the clinic smells disgusting. The doctor is too serious, you can't tell if she's being professional or rude.
I don't really understand why I had to fill out the paperwork twice if I do on ZocDoc and then again to make a paper copy. The wait tim was really the only issue. Once I got to Dr Hon., she was very professional, very courteous, and I would definately reccomend her!
The practice in which Dr Hon is a member meets all of my expectations as a patient.
Nothing against her medical profession or professionalism but she made my trip uncomfortable, furiating and longer than it needed to be. I clearly explained, at the beginning of my appointment, that I required documents signed simply for liable purposes and she refused to sign it over a misunderstanding; complicating a very simple matter. She will not be my primary physician nor would I return for my follow-up.
Dr. Hon is a great physician. She is very compassionate and knowledgeable. Her staff is courteous attentive and I will be going back.
Great helpful and insightful
The best! One could not ask for a more thorough concerned physician. Great great great.
Practice makes perfect? Well this team of professionals have one incredible practive. Attentive; timely; professional; discret; organized; friendly; accomodating - and this was just the first 10 minutes!! Highly recommend Dr. Angela Hon and her staff. I have selected her to be my Primary Care Doctor. Totally confident that I made a good choice.
Office is dirty. Staff is incompetent. I had to leave the appointment mid way through my visit, I will never return here and would never recommend anyone to this practice.
The most efficient and meticulous doctor I have ever been to.
Quick and courteous definelty a good experience will be coming back for regular visits
I used Dr. Hon a few years back and she unsold me to about 15 different tests, including heart rate monitors and X-rays, apparently this was part of a physical. I didn't recall being disappointed. I very rarely get sick and when I do it knocks me out, so this morning after the third night of not sleeping due to a very dry sore throat I made an appt. When I got there, they quickly put me in a room, after waiting 15 minutes for the DR. She put a stick in my mouth and said your inflamed.... Wear this mask so you don't get anyone sick and walked out. What the hell does that mean, you going to tell me what's wrong with me? I asked her as she gave the nurse a prescription for me and she turned around to busy to be bothered and closed her office door. Now I'm taking a z pack but still have no clue what else to do! I have never fealt more rushed and lack of compassion at a DR office! I will not be back, this is NYC sweetie millions of DR would not treat their patients this way!
Worst experience ever! Everyone in the office is short and rude. I waited for at least 30 minutes before anyone saw me. Then when Dr. Hone finally came in she barely looked at me and asked me very few questions before ordering all sorts of exams. The nurse taking my blood couldn't find the vein and it was an extremely slow, painful drip. I was asked to come in a second time to get my results as they wouldn't share them over the phone and when I did the Dr. just glossed over everything saying I was "fine" without going in to any detail at all. I will never go back.
My apt. was scheduled for 8:30- but I got a call immediately after booking saying that the doctor was not going to be there until 9:00. I got there a bit early, and the front desk was a bit frazzled because I was there 20 minutes early- but being a new patient, I needed to fill out paperwork, so it was fine. I was seen immediately by a tech, and felt comfortable. Then the doctor came in and was nice, and helpful as well. I ended up having to get other tests done, and she explained everything to me in a very professional manner. I will certainly go back!
Wonderful, very attentive.
The wait time was over 40 minutes and the doctor was very cold and uncaring.
No nonsense, speedy helpful staff.
Small office, very disorganized. I did see her, but might not see her for next appointment. I don't like that, I like to feel comfortable with my doctor and only my doctor.
Nice & wait time was not long.
The front office team was very unprofessional. They were laughing and making jokes with each other slowing down the entire check in process.
The office had like 10 people on staff but I was the only patient, which was my first red flag. The staff wasn't professional, the office seemed dirty, and I felt like they kept trying to scam me into doing more tests even though I had just told them I had everything done recently. Dr. Hon was also very cold and short, my attempts at buttering everyone up were repaid with shortness and a bit of attitude. I'm heading right back to my old doctor with open arms.
The office was dirty, and the doctor did not treat me for why I came in. I felt like it was run by a bunch of amateurs.
I was a new patient and Dr. Hon asked plenty of questions before making any decisions. She also told me about a free vaccination from the Dept. of Health that I should get since my work environment puts me at potential risk. Dr. Hon wore a mask to examine me, which showed she was taking precautions around patients, which is always a smart move!
Dr. Hon was great
The doctor asked all the same questions about symtoms I filled out on paperwork and spent less than 5 minutes with me. Didn't give me a clear diagnosis but said I can try antibiotics she'll prescribe. Overall this visit felt like a wasted co-pay.
Dr Hon was very friendly and answered all of my questions. The receptionist area is a bit hectic though, and the whole office seems dated and in need of an update. Things are falling apart in some cases (bathroom sink barely glued to the wall and old couches in lobby that are threadbare!). The professionals themselves are very thorough and make you feel comfortable, so I overlook these things, but I would be more assured of their professionalism if they took better care of their office.
I did not dislke Dr. Hon but I would not specifically recommend her. I went for a cold and it was fine, but I would not specifically go back. The assistants are very nice though. The practice is small and confined. I guess she is ok if you work around the block as it is convenient, but I would not make her my primary care doctor.
My visit to Dr. Hon's office was successful. I was in and out as a new patient within an hour and the staff were very nice. I was quickly diagnosed and I appreciated Dr. Hon's somewhat brutal honesty with each of my questions.
It was great. She answered all of my questions and made me feel comfortable as well as confident with the information she gave me.
As a new patient, she listened to all of my concerns, asked follow up questions, and made sure to check everything. Very professional, and the staff was helpful and friendly.
She's friendly and very helpful in resolving my issues.
Great visit! Quick and comprehensive!
I had an appointment at 9 a.m. but the doctor had not arrived at the office until 9:25. The entire appointment took me 1 1/2 hours. The staff again insisted that I need to make an appointment for test results and that they will not share them over the phone. In addition, while I was waiting inside a private waiting room, various people came in to ask the same questions, and their colleagues came in to discuss other patients, in front of me. Instead of opting to leave the room, they chatted in while I was there.
Dr.Hon was nice but the place seemed not organized. I waited for 40 minutes. It was a long wait. Staff were okay. Not so friendly I have to say...
great doctor. She took time to listen to a long story and made a huge effort to treet many problems. Also helped to get eye doctor appointment right away..Could not have goten more done anywere else.So worth yhe trip.
Her office staff are rude and unattentive, they don't greet patients and are unclear. There were no other patients in the wait room and I still had to wait 20 minutes during my lunch break. Dr. Hon gave me 3 prescriptions but as I was checking out the office assistant only handed me 1 and I had to ask for the other two. Dr. Hon was attentive, but I can't judge her medical knowledge as she prescribed what I needed for a simple illness. My complaint about her is she was pushing too many services, I went in for an appointment to get medication and she tried to push a physical exam in the same appointment as well as pushing other future appointments for future things such a tetanus shots and wanting to run other tests. Tells me that she's trying too hard to sell services and might not have your best interests in mind.
I had a 9 am appointment, which was to include a fasting glucose test. She walked into the office at 9:15, and didn't see me for another half hour. That left me pretty cranky, what with not having eaten, so maybe my negative impressions were just me. But she dismissed my report of a diagnosis I'd gotten from a specialist—I wanted to ask if acupuncture would be an appropriate treatment—and wanted to send me back to square one for a new diagnosis, which didn't make me happy.
She was excellent. Professional, kind, thoughtful and really listened to my concerns and questions.
I didn't have any problems with wait times although i always book early morning appointments to avoid the problem altogether. I thought the staff was friendly and they all took good care of me while I went through a series of tests for my physical exam. Dr. Hon was friendly enough. My main concern is that a doctor not patronize me for using alternative medicine which she didn't do and I appreciated it.
Office is a little slow but she's a great doctor and very kind
It was okay, way too long of a wait time.
The Doctor had me go through a lot of tests and procedures. I don't think they were all needed
Dr. Hon obviously cares deeply about her patient's wellbeing. I've been to Drs that want to poke me and drain fluids to pump up feels, but it s been a long time since I've felt that my health is truly in good hands. Her gentle and sincere manor alone eases my mind and relieves stress so I can get directly to heakth concerns. I would, and do, trust her with my life. Gene Hirschel, CHt.
very efficient, checked me out fully
very efficient and timely! took care of me and addressed all of my concerns.
Great! The office was well run and professional and the examination was very thorough.
Not great. Definitely not a thorough yearly physical. Didn't really listen to my concerns. Just ordered tests without telling me
Very professional and courteous
she seems nice enough and i hope she can fix my many problems
The office is in a state of chaos every time you go there. There are literally 5 to 6 assistants running around trying to file and locate documents. My biggest issue is that the assistants are not getting properly trained on office procedure which is the fault of the office manager and doctor in my opinion. These girls I'm sure are barely getting paid so it's up to the more senior staff to train them on how to complete refills, office visits, follow up with doctor procedures, how to handle questions from patients, etc. And the doctor herself is not very engaged. I'm sure she sees a million people a day so people get lost in the fray. Maybe that's just the cost of living in NYC. And when a patient calls in and needs clarification on something, someone should be able to answer the question. Instead, I had to hike from downtown Wall Street to midtown to get the correct response when someone could have easily told me on the phone.
Dr. Angela Hon was great, pleasant and a fantastic listener. It's too bad that for most of my tests and care, I was not seen by Dr. Hon, but by her staff, who were somewhat rude. There was one woman who was super sweet -- I wish I knew her name. She was the technician who helped me with my heart EKG. Many of the staff at the front desk, however, were impatient and snippy, but no serious complaints.
She was easy to talk to. This was a simple check-up, but I got the impression that she is very knowledgable in many types of medicine and would take time with whatever I needed to ask.
The doctor was thorough and asked many questions. A few things negative issues: 1. The staff is not well-trained. They have not provided me with complete information during the three times I have called the office for test results. They are also very quick to get off the phone without listening to my concerns or questions. 2. I had an appointment at 9am and was there at 8:45, but I had to wait for the doctor till 9:20am. 3. The staff and doctor have a policy of not discussing test results over the phone, even if there is no problem. I had to/will have to make multiple trips to the office for the results. When asked if the doctor can discuss them on the phone, I was told that she would charge the insurance company per minute for it.
she was short with me.Her staff have no idea what they were doing SIX staff members 3 tried to find my veins one attempted to take blood failed twice then i'm told to come back tomorrow to have another staff member who isn't here today to take my blood.i will never ever go back to that office again. no one smiled, they were not friendly.
Great! Very caring and listens to what you have to say. Very friendly and approachable.
Kind but straightforward and succinct.
The Dr was very personable and easy to talk to.
she was very attentive and listened to my problems and got all the appropriate tests done right there in the office. Office isnt super pretty, but that isn't what I went there for.
The dr was fine but i waited for an hour and my nurse was new, which is fine, but no other nurses were offering to help so i ended up getting skipped over by the doctor and was waiting to have my blood pressure taken for 20 minutes.
Pros: She's very patient and clear. Cons: Waited for 1hr+! I saw at least 4 ppl with the same appt time with me!! A little bit unorganized at front desk. If you have the time to wait, go. She's a good doctor. But if you're in a hurry, there are many other doctors in Manhattan with similar background to take care of you. You make the decision.
Very thorough physical and Dr. Angela was very nice.
Really friendly, personable and helpful. Not only that, but I was in and out during my lunch break!
Dr. Hon is very engaging and was thorough but concise.
Dr Hon was great, she was very nice, listened to my questions and answered my concerns. The only reason why I would not recommend this medical practice is that, when I came back to get my lab results, she wasn't there and I met with another Dr. (Vaijinath Chakote) who had the rudest manners ever. In 5mn he had diagnosed me with 2 severe medical conditions, ordered more exams and left with no more explanations.
Dr. Hon was not very personable or communicative, though she listened to what I told her. She did not even do a thorough check up on me and just wrote me a few prescriptions. She was also very pregnant when I went for my visit, so I suspect she wasn't in full-working mode.
The office was dark and dingy. I remember seeing needle caps on the floors of the room I waited for her in. Bathroom was clogged. Overall environment was not pleasant at all. Maybe I went on an off day. That said, the staff were friendly and chatty. The doctor was also nice although I don't think she was attentive enough.
Nice person but not thorough.
The office was very scattered. My entire appointment took 1hr and 45min. I felt the doctor was not attentive or informative. I did not feel an overall professional culture at the office.
Calming personality, very attentive, great bedside manner. I have already recommended to two others in my family and would definitely recommend her to friends!
Dr Hon has great patience and very caring
Dr. Hon was great, so nice and seemed to know what she was doing! Her staff was also nice (which I RARELY experience).
Dr. Hon was sweet and seemed very competent, but she didn't spend much time with me. I didn't mind except that I had arrived 15minutes before my appointment and wasn't seen until 30minutes after my appointment. The front desk staff/nurses seemed to be in a bit of a disarray. Maybe it was just a bad day or something, but I'm not sure I'll be going back.
She is a nice doctor, listens to my issues and gives feedback on what can be done to solve the problems.
Dr. Hon was really great. She listened to my concerns patiently, asked tons of questions and took action. I went to her with thyroid and migraine issues which can be ambiguous and frustrating to explain but she was on top of it and made me feel like we will get to the bottom of this. She was very thorough, office was very clean, staff was very sweet and polite.
Dr. Hon has a very pleasant demeanor. She listens to you and seems to care. The rest of the staff is also quite pleasant. It is a very comforting atmosphere.
Her staff was super nice! Love it! The wait was a bit long but the physical was really quick. Dr. Hon is a good listener and listened to all of my concerns and requests.
Excellent. Dr. Hon had a very good manner, was very pleasant and seemed knowledgable. She was easy to talk to and made me feel comfortable, being happy to spend all of the time I needed.
Very helpful, lots of good suggestions.
Very nice Doctor was in and out quickly.
The office was quiet and the staff was friendly and helpful. The doctor was patient and I never felt rushed.
I found Dr. Hon thorough and helpful.
professional, thorough, office staff very nice!
The doctor was very friendly. I was very impressed with the service. My wait time was minimum. Considering that I was a new patient.
Dr.Hon was very nice and answered all my questions. The evironment was so friendly and location was very nice as well.
I would highly recomment Dr. Hon! She is very accommodating. Even the front desk people, Anita and Kenya were very friendly and helpful. The facility was also very neat, and organized. I was really comfortable with the people and I could say I really made the right choice in choosing a primary doctor. And not to mention, the place is also very accessible, the building is right across the subway.
My mom Leonor Machuca liked Dr. Hon very much. She felt Dr. Hon attended her very well and made my mom feel comfortable. It was nice that my mom was able to speak freely in spanish with Dr. Hon. Also, the front desk was very professional/helpful as well as friendly.
Great. Really nice and attentive
Dr. Hon had great bed side manner and took the time to listen to your concerns.
Very nice and very helpful. Willing to discuss any issues with you openly and with understanding. The office staff is pleasant also.
Has open eyes and ears. excellent. nothing but good.
I would highly Recommend Dr. Angela Hon. She is GREAT!!!!!!!!!! She made me feel real comfortable and provided me with great care. I didn’t have to wait long to be seen. Her staff is also very nice and professional.
