Patient reviews for Dr. Arnold Rochwarger
Dr. Rochwarger was thorough, helpful, caring and friendly. He made sure to sit down with me to discuss my health and how I was feeling. He is a great doctor!
As scared as I was . He listened and made sure I didn’t leave his office worried. He was excellent and caring! Thank you DR Rochwarger
He was very kind and took enough time to explain your status.
Takes the time to understand your problem. Responsible doctor.
Dr. Rochwarger was professional, respectful and had a friendly comportment. I would recommend him to anyone looking for an internist.
Dr. Rockwarger is a very pleasant doctor who puts you at ease right away. He takes his time to explain any procedure that needs to be performed and answers any questions, no matter how silly, with the patience of a saint. Highly recommended.
Practicing medicine as it should be without the annoyance of electronic note taking and other modern-day healthcare bureaucracy jibberish. Highly recommend!
Dr. Rochwarger went above and beyond to make sure that I received a diagnosis and treatment as quickly as possible. He scheduled additional testing on the same day as my appointment, and called me personally to check in and whenever there were updates. In addition to being a knowledgeable and skilled doctor, he clearly cares about his patients. I’m very grateful that I went in to see him and would highly recommend him to anyone.
Dr. Rochwarger was really nice as usual and made me feel very comfortable. He spent almost an hour listening to me and trying to find the best solution to my problems. I would highly recommend him. I found him through zocdoc after I tried two other gastroenterologists already!
Dr. Rochwarger is a singular medical practitioner and a wonderful man. He represents that kind of doctor who feels all too rare in today's high patient volume environment: an experienced, conscientious physician who remains current and well-informed on new medical research and developments and who cares deeply and genuinely for the overall well-being of his patients. He is punctual, friendly, warm and caring. He actively follows up before and in between appointments, makes a point of reaching out personally by phone on the patient's schedule, and is a relentless advocate with other hospitals, practices and doctors when additional services are needed. Please don't ever retire!
Dr. Rochwarger made me feel comfortable and took his time to listen to my concerns. He gave me time to ask questions, made a plan for treatment and follow up. Would definitely recommend.
Dr. Rochwarger was very thorough and kind more so than my primary care physician. He was professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend him.
Great office, quiet and mindful, was seen on the dot at my time of appointment and most importantly Dr Rockwarger was an excellent doctor, thoughtful, asking questions and not rushed and dismissive as far too many doctors are today.
Dr. Rochwarger was absolutely excellent. He took the time to talk to me and understand what was going on without any sense of rushing. He not only helped me but referred me to a Proctologist who could see me that day to handle the diagnosis. And even went one step further to give me his cell phone to call him and let him know how I was doing. A doctor at its finest. Very thankful I took the time to see him.
I went to see Dr. Rochwarger for a GI consultation after my primary doctor and another GI specialist spent several months trying to figure out what was happening to me without even properly looking at me. I was early for my appointment and the patient before me canceled his/her appointment so I was seen immediately after checking in. Dr. Rochwarger is the nicest doctor I have ever seen in NYC. Very sweet, calm and most all he cares a lot about patients. He made me a lot of questions and then he visited me for real, not merely looking at my belly but he did a proper examination. Then he prescribed me a treatment and a scan and he told me to call him back in three days to let him know how I am doing. I would highly recommend him to my family and friends! Thumbs up!
He was very thorough, asked detailed questions, and personal. He drew blood in the office too, which is very efficient for patient than going to a lab - and followed up by calling me about the results! (So no need to go back to discuss results) I was happy that I went to see him for my physical!
Loved this doctor! Very thorough, made me feel comfortable, did not rush, and I walked out with a clearer understanding around what was causing me pain. Advocates for his patients to get appointments for testing secured quickly. Old school style that's missing from many doctors these days.
Honestly one of the best doctors I’ve ever had. Was incredibly responsive, always follows up, took his time seeing me and answered all my questions. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!!
I had a very positive experience with Dr Arnold Rochwarger. While I had made a last-minute online appointment late the night before, Dr Rochwarger took care to call me early enough in the morning to warn me not to eat anything in case I had to do ultrasounds. Throughout the appointment, Dr Rochwarger was attentive, friendly courteous, and detail oriented. His diagnosis proved correct and was kind enough to call me on Friday night to give me the results of the ultrasounds, and blood test. He called again a couple of days later to check on me. I would unreservedly recommend Dr Arnold Rochwarger to fellow patients.
I visited for Annual Physical and It was good.
He had a good bedside manner and was very receptive of everything I said. Seemed to be impatient at times, and trying to keep things moving, but didn't hesitate to check up on me constantly, and was very invested in my recovery.
Dr. Rochwarger saw me at a bad time for me and took a very personal interest in my recovery. He is extremely professional, competent and goes the extra mile with his patients. Highly recommended.
You won't find another doctor who cares about your health this much. No shortcuts taken by Dr. Rochwarger, and while you might go see him for a specific condition, you can rest assured if there are any other potential issues, he won't miss them.
Straight to the point. Knows his stuff.
Dr Arnold is a very good doctor who takes the time to go through all the details to understand the medical history of a patient. Unlike several other doctors who like to rush through things and don't follow up, Dr Arnold is very knowledgeable, diligent, responsive and reachable. I went to Dr Arnold for my annual physical and he is undoubtedly one of the best doctors out there. I highly recommend him.
Given it was my first time to see Dr. Arnold Rochwarger, I felt a bit nervous and uncomfortable. But, I found him to be very kind, and warm. He also has a good sense of humor. He was approachable with any questions and he was able to ease my concerns. He was very thorough, took his time to explain and has provided me with quality care. I was touched by his kindness and caring attitude. He took an extra mile by making an adjustment to his office hours. He accommodated me to come during my limited time off from work. He was mindful that I needed to see him for annual physical check up. He has shown that my health and well-being is not only important to me, but his top priority too. It is very rare to find a doctor who is accommodating and values the patient’s time as much as the patient values the doctor’s. Dr. Rochwarger took the time to call me even after hours to discuss about laboratory results and to follow up the results of treatment I had with other specialists. I confident that the quality care will continue in the years to come. I am looking forward to continuing my relationship with him as he moves forward with his practice. I would recommend Dr. Arnold Rochwarger to anyone who needs a competent and quality primary care physician.
He seemed pleasant enough but upon initial examination he didn't "believe" me and told me there was nothing there, only when I insisted did he do a thorough exam and found I was actually right. I thought this was a bit offputting but at least he did it pleasantly enough.
Dr. Rochearger was thorough, very professional, and a good listener; exactly what you look for in a Doctor. I had difficult GI issues and felt extremely comfortable and confident with his care. I would highly recommend Dr Rochwarger.
Truly exceptional doctor! he spent all of the time needed to get to know me and my issues
Today was my first time meeting with Dr. Arnold Rochwarger, MD. My most pleasant and satisfying visit. He is down to earth and very approachable. I felt quite comfortable with him. One of best docs I ever had the pleasure of meeting. Genuine!- Old school. He listens to all your concerns, attentive and very professional. Highly Recommended!- Very knowledgable.
I went to Dr. Rochwarger for a routine physical and also to address other concerns. He was very patient with me and asked all the right questions. The exam was thorough and he made several calls to me to follow up in the weeks after the exam. He also went out of his way to provide recommendations. Great guy. Also - I arrived to my appointment early and was seen right away.
Dr Rochwarger was able to see me at very short notice as I was in a lot of pain. He took the time to ask a lot of questions and understand clearly my issue, to try and get an understanding of events leading up to the visit. He was very sympathetic and was trying to alleviate the pain. He made sure all the tests and scans were organized and done that same day, and followed up to get the results that evening. His office helped clear my insurance for the tests. He explained all the blood test results. He has a very good network and was able to refer me to ultrasound, MRI and ultimately a surgeon. He called myself and my wife several times during that day, and week afterwards to check in. He genuinely seems to care. Would absolutely recommend him.
Am am very glad he could see me and assist on a number of levels.
I went to this doctor because I had an urge to speak to a professional when any other doctors who accept my insurance were busy. I was satisfied that doctor Rochwarger was curious in my problem, he even was asking me some psychological questions to get to know what could be a cause of my problem. But at the same time he wasn`t really listening till I`ll answer accurately. Seemed like he`s already made his conclusions. And it is probably not the best way to do this. My visit definately was worse at that moment, but I am not satisfied with the manner I was seen.
Dr. Rochwarger is absolutely the best doctor I have seen in New York City. Most doctor appointments in NYC in general feel rushed, leaving me to think of myself more of a cash cow than a patient. I had a refreshingly different experience with Dr. Rochwarger. He listened to me and took notes as I described my symptoms and detailed my previous blood work. My appointment ended up being around 90 minutes. I don't think you could find a kinder, smarter, and a more thorough doctor in New York City.
I really liked Dr. Rochwarger's attention to details and how precisely he questioned me about symptoms and my diet to sort out the possible causes of my problem. I also liked how involved he was when treating me. In most US clinics you waste your time answering the same questions to a nurse and again to a doctor, and often you get only a fraction of doctor's attention who seem to be excessively busy with other patients. With Dr. Rochwarger it was opposite, I felt like I was treated by a professional with 100% engagement in my case, and not like a detail on a conveyer belt of a healthcare fabric.
This was a great experience. I spent an hour with Dr. Rochwarger, which is rare at an MD office. The MD did a review of my complaints, collected blood himself, did vitals, performed a physical, EKG, and wrapped up with a review of the next step. As promised, he followed up with a phone call. Overall, great experience with a personal touch.
I am 84 years old, I can absolutely attribute this to Dr. Rochwarger's care. On several occasions Dr. Rochwarger diagnosed life threatening issues I suffered from in time for treatment to save my life. He is a thoughtful and analytical scientist who not only attends to my health but does it with a gentle touch. I recommend him and thank him for his care. Hale A
I found Dr. Rochwarger on zocdoc after displeasure with how I was treated at a different GI doctor in April after having a myriad of health issues. He went through my health history for almost an hour and performed relevant exams and blood work. It turned out I needed emergency care at NYP and was there for three nights with an endocrinology issue. Dr. Rochwarger was my biggest advocate while I was in the hospital. He contacted hospital staff, consulted with the hospital team and consulted with relevant specialists. He always took all the time needed when answering questions from my wife and me and never hesitated to research or reach out to other specialty areas to assure I was getting proper care. It was apparent throughout the hospital stay that he is a respected doctor by his colleagues and that he is a strong advocate for patients (eventhough he had only met me one time!) In managing my conditions these past few months, Dr. Rochwarger has periodically called to check on my health and stay abreast of my medical care with other specialties. He remains an advocate, a patient listener, and a doctor who truly goes above and beyond to provide comprehensive care. My wife and I consider ourselves incredibly lucky to have found such wonderful care in an age of doctors who need to fill time slots and only spend a couple minutes with each patient. Dr. Rochwarger provides all the time needed and then follows up with calls and using his personal time to see to the well-being of those within his care. Cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Rochwarger.
I've been going to see Dr. Rochwarger since December of last year and can't say enough good things about him. After a visit to my primary care physician I came to to Dr Rochwarger for a second opinion when my symptoms didn't go away. He has been great in helping me get better - going above and beyond what needs to be done, including calling me personally every few days to check in and see how things are progressing. His office is very easy to schedule appointments with and very flexible/quick on timing.
He is a very nice doctor. He makes me very relax during the whole check up. And he is very funny. The office is clean and offers free bottle of water to patients.
