Went in for a wellness visit, waited almost an hour to get a room, and then almost another 30 minutes to actually see the doctor, unfortunately this isn't the first time I've waited, though thankfully not this long.

Dr. Patel's intern interviewed me initially. He was very kind and supportive. He briefed Dr. Patel, who came into the treatment room, informed of my situation with a treatment recommendation. I plan to return for a full physical. Dr. Patel'sstaff has taken a beating in various reviews but they were kind and helpful to me.

Dr. Patel was very kind and friendly, but I found the physical exam to be overly brief - just vitals and heart sounds. Also, the wait was 45minutes (despite an 8am apt and arriving 10min early) and while the support staff were friendly, things were quite slow-moving.

Dr. Patel is always great! The student Doc is also great. There is an older woman that’s been there forever that is awful and needs to learn how to engage with patients. Other than that, I have no complaints; it’s always a pleasure to visit with Dr. Patel.

The doctor and the medical student I saw were nice but very rushed. The wait time (an hour past my appointment time) was unacceptable, however. The location is also not conducive to privacy—I could hear the doctor speaking with a staffervery loudly about another patient’s symptoms and it wasn’t difficult to figure out who they were talking about. And the front desk staff were actively complaining about patients in the waiting room, which was less than ideal.

I think the office needs to be better organized. There are office files and folders all over the place, which poses a risk of leaking PII. It’s also very dimly-lit and very unkept. The downstairs area where the phlebotomist was locatedwas VERY cold. It truly needs a makeover. The entire office takes me back to a 90s style doctors office.

I saw him in November, and everything went well that day. Wait time was less than 30 minutes, he asked me few questions and I went for my tests which was also quick. However, after getting my report, I called hisoffice 6 times before the holidays and twice after the holidays because I had some questions. Every time either he had left the office early or was with a patient. The person who picked up my calls would write down my name and number and would tell I would hear back from them, which I never did. I asked them I have very few questions, I could write an email but they do not have an email address. If they would have asked me to book an appointment for my questions, I would have done that as well, but every time they would state that someone would get back to me. It has been over 1.5 months and I still do not have my answers. I guess I will have to take my concerns to a different doctor.

Dr. Patel was very kind and helpful. I appreciated that he listened to all my concerns. He didn't order excessive testing. He was efficient without being brusque. It can be hard to hear him sometimes though because he speaks quietly and rapidly.

This was the worst experience of my life! I waited for almost three hours to see the doctor and when finally he came to see me, he spent around five minutes checking me before he sent me to do a bloodtest. Then I had to wait for around three months to get the blood test results because it looks that they misspelled my name. The worst part is that the doctor never wanted to talk to me about the test results. I got tired of calling him and to hear the front desk lady saying that the doctor would call me back (that never happened). In summary, don't waste your time with this doctor... Also, there is no way to reach him through the patient's portal.

Busy practice but worth the wait. Dr. Patel, whom I have seen for years is an excellent diagnostician and conservative physician. Significantly, he avoids entanglements with pharmaceutical detail persons -- meals, etc.

He is a nice man but not effective for me as a doctor. The office organization is appalling. The receptionist is not very nice and they still do everything via paper files and fax. There is no emailing and a seriouslag time in everything. Communication is frustrating. Despite the fancy location, the office isn't nice or even just okay looking. It is rundown and outdated; seemingly mostly untouched from the 1990s. If I wasn't so sick at the time, I would have cancelled my appointment and left.

The time I spent with Dr. Patel was fine. However, the overall experience at the office was not positive. I waited just over an hour to see the doctor for my annual physical, which isn't great but not terrible, met withDr. Patel, and was sent downstairs to the lab for blood work. I was given the #9 and told to wait upstairs. Another hour later it got to #9 and two of us had that number, so I let the other person go. Then it was #10's turn, and they had been there since 9:00 am (I arrived at 9:15) and it was closing in on 12:00. The office manager and receptionist appeared to do little to organize things, and at times the many patients in the waiting room were chastised by the office manager for lodging complaints by replying "Yeah, we're all busy." After 3 hours, and having seen the doctor for 10 minutes and the waiting room for 170, I left without having any blood work done.

Brilliant, practical, and deeply human, no one is a better GP than Dr. Patel. Moreover, his office staff is warm, professional, and entertaining. I’ve been a patient of his for a decade. Each experience is better than the last. Dr. Pateland his staff really know how to keep people healthy and happy.

Do NOT go to this place. I was new to Washington, DC, took time off work to make an appointment for a general checkup. The clinic is a bit run-down, which caught be by surprise since its in a very niceneighborhood. The Dr. appeared with a med student in tow (which limited my ability to have an open conversation with my doctor). Since this was my first visit, I think it would have been better to establish a one-on-one rapport first. He also should have asked if it was ok to bring in a student into our consultation. At the end of our appointment, Dr. Patel ordered some tests. Days later the test come - but no follow-up from Dr. Patel. For the last three months I have called repeatedly and left messages. There is no way to speak with anyone but the answering service. No one has ever returned my calls. The phone line directs you to a website where there is no way to send a message or contact the office. I am very unsatisfied. Am I supposed to interpret these tests on my own? It seem ridiculous that Dr. Patel cannot return my messages and there is no way to speak to anyone in his office. I am left with booking an appointment with another Physician.

I will start by saying that Dr. Patel is a great physician and is very pleasant. However, the management and reception in his office is horrible. I came 15 minutes early to my appointment and it took them 20 minutes tocall me up to get my insurance processed. No problem, but then it took another 10 minutes to realize they'd forgotten something. Another 15 minutes later, I was called to the room where I waited an additional 20 minutes. I needed blood work done, so I went through basic vitals with a med student and Dr. Patel came to talk to me for 2 minutes. I went down to the lab to get my work done and because the office is so poorly managed and was running so far behind, that the lab technician very rudely told me that the lab had come to pick up the items already. Not only did I waste my sick hours from work, but I was charged a copay for getting absolutely nothing done. I will be seeking a new PCP after this experience. I do not blame Dr. Patel for this, but dealing with their office management and reception is not worth it.

I have been seeing Dr. Patel and being supported by his staff since 2002. I have never had a less than stellar experience. I really appreciate the efficiency and the personal acknowledgement I get everytime I go. I feel like Icould not have picked a better Doctor and office for my needs. Granted I only go once a year but ever year I am always very appreciative of the great service I receive. Keep up the excellent service.

There's not been a time where I've not had to wait 45 minutes before Dr. Patel. When signing in during my last visit, I saw four people had scheduled appointments for the same time. Double-dipping one's time slots is okay justso long as it's manageable, but scheduling any more than two for the same time is disrespectful to one's patients. My most recent visit took 85 minutes before I saw Dr. Patel, and given his hurried state it felt as though he wanted to cover only the very basics.
