She has awesome bedside manner. Very professional and friendly.
I was very disappointed with my appointment today. Both with the receptionist and doctor. The receptionist called me before my appointment to ask if my insurance required a referral. I told them I wasn't sure, but that I would call my insurance to find out. So, I did -- and they told me very clearly that I did not need a referral, and my visit would be covered. When I arrived at my appointment the receptionist told me I needed a referral, and I told her that, per my conversation with the insurance, I did not. She told me repeatedly, "I know you need a referral." She finally said the billing department would have to call my insurance before I could see a doctor. I waited 30 minutes for this to happen, and of course I did not need a referral. The receptionist did not apologize in any way. The doctor saw me promptly after that, but I was not satisfied with her care. She took a 2 second look at my problem, and offered to inject it with a medication. I asked for more information (what it is, are there preservatives, etc.), and she it was a steroid, but she "didn't have time to look up anything else." The PA, who was very kind, looked it up for me. I wasn't comfortable with the ingredients, and declined the medication. Then the doctor started quizzing me on why I won't use certain ingredients. I won't go into the details, but she was really condescending. Then she changed the subject to things that were unrelated, but more familiar to her, and essentially gave me a lecture. Then she suddenly says, "Your pores are REALLY clogged." I get that it's her job to look, but it was so abrupt and not at all related to what I came in for. Overall, it was just a rude, abrasive visit. If you're looking for a doctor who will simply prescribe, then she's probably fine (and aside from the trouble with the receptionist, the wait times seemed reasonable.) But if you're looking for a doctor who will treat you with respect, and as an equal, don't bother coming here.
Dr. Chaudhry is great when you get to see her... but prepare to wait. I've had to wait at least 40 minutes from my appoinment start time to the time the doctor walks in the room everytime I've been there.
Dr.Chaudhry was very personable, and explained her exam procedures prior. The staff were professional and friendly. I recommend this practice!
