Patient reviews for Dr. Barry Pevner
Great Doctor, very professional!
Horrible doctor. Was with me for less then 5 min and prescribed a medication that sent me to the er.
Dr. Pevner incisively analyzed the medical issues. He demonstrated outstanding, knowledge, judgment, and wisdom in his diagnosis. I highly respect and value Dr. Pevner.
Dr. Pevner was great! He really took the time to listen to me and answer all of my questions. One of my most pleasant doctor experiences!
Very good 1st visit. Office staff was professional and friendly. Dr. Pevner took his time with me and did not try to run a bunch of unnecessary test. Only complaint was appointment was for 11:00 AM and I was not seen by the doctor until about 11:40 AM, which was confusing as the waiting room was empty when I arrived (full when I left). Dr. Pevner was aware he was running late as he apologized for the delay when he came in and again when we were rapping up the visit. As this was my first time at this office, I am not sure if this is a typical experience or not.
Dr. Pevner is efficient in his patient interactions, he spends the time necessary to be effective with the task at hand.
Great experience with Doctor Penver. Small office right in the medical center, had a pretty short wait to get to see him compared to other offices I've been to. He was very attentive, listens really well and had very constructive feedback and thoughts/ideas throughout the whole process. Will definitely see him as my regular primary care physician. Highly recommended!
My visit went very well I didn't have to wait long which is a plus me.
Meaningful, worth my time
I left my previous Dr. because of poor bed side manner, total opposite here, glad that I went to him.
Very professional and present dr
Dr. Pevner is one of the finest doctors I have been to, and definitely the finest in the Miami area. I drive over half an hour to see him and it is worth it in every way. He treats you like a person and not a cash cow. He is also extremely intelligent and up to date with current research and guidelines. Please don’t waste your time going somewhere else.
Dr Pevner it's a very caring Dr who is willing to go the extra mile for his patients. He ended up having to send me to a specialist instead of just giving me information he found me a specialist and got me an appointment within 48 hours.
Best doctor I have ever came across !
Dr Pevner might be a good doc, but he treated me very badly as a patient who needed help. After talking to him about going to a specialist, he did not refer me to anyone, but only gave a name of a specialist who does not take my insurance. I figured I have to find one on my own since Dr Pevner does not care and maybe its not his job (I do not go to doctors a lot, do not know how it works). After going to a specialist, Dr Pevner called me, very angry screaming (yes screaming) that I did not get his permission and referral and did everything wrong. I tried to explain that I asked him for a specialist before with no results, but the screaming continued. He thought I needed a referral, which I found out much later that I did not, but even if i did, it is not a reason to yell at and insult a patient. We had a phone conversation a few weeks later, when I asked him for a referral for a follow up appointment to the same specialist, in which he told me he is not accepting my insurance any longer. Dr Pevner is a very impulsive doctor who was not making money off of me, so he did not want to deal with me.
Very knowledgeable physician and knows how to treat patients.
Mr Barry was professional, asked me lots of key questions regarding my health, staff was very professional as well.
He made me feel welcome and listened to my concerns attentively. He also wrote down my family health history while I was talking. I will definitely recommend Dr Pevner.
Very sweet and caring
Dr. Pevner is very thorough and really cares to have a real record of health so he can keep track of changes as needed. Among the best doctors I've ever encountered.
It was my first time there. He was very sweet to me and my daughter. He couldn't figure out what I had but he tried to refer me to people who could help. Office staff was also very helpful.
Dr Pevner is very knowledgeable and welcoming. For the first time a dr acknowledged every concern with guidance and assurance of finding results. I am pleased to move forward with him and a healthier lifestyle at this point in my life.
Dr. Pevner has been my primary doctor for over 6 years. Simply said he is the best!
Was very pleased to have the option of Saturday hours for an appointment. The office was running smoothly and no long wait time. This was my first visit with Dr. Pevner to establish as a new Primary Care Doctor. I was pleased with his professionalism, demeanor, knowledge, and efficiency.
Doctors office was empty but he still rushed me thru the appointment and assumed he knew what was wrong with me before listening to my entire situation. I was hoping this PCP would be better because of all the great reviews but he wasn’t. This is a perfect example of why people don’t like going to the Dr.
A real doctor! Finally.
Alway very comforting
From the time you walk into the office, you will receive excellent service! I highly recommend Dr. Barry Pevner as your primary care physician!
The first PCP that has made me feel comfortable and cared for since I moved to South Florida 4.5 years ago.
He is very professional and does a very thorough examination.
One of the best Doctors I have ever visited. He really listens. And is very concerned with my welfare. And general care.
Dr. Pevner has an excellent patient focus, he is a great listener and very insightful !
He is a great doctor, very personable and I enjoy seeing him.
Great as always
Excellent doctor. Explains everything.
Excellent doctor, addressed all my concerns, very professional, staff extremely pleasant and very helpful! He will definitely be my new doctor!!
Good bedside manner, good listener.
He is the best
I really liked Dr. Pevner...he was very efficient and attentive...he offered and effective and timely solution to my health issue...very accommodating. I felt like a priority while he attended to me.
He was very courteous and pleasant
Dr. Pevner MD was a very patient listener, asked insightful questions to get a good history as to why I thought I needed to see him.
I felt inclined to write this review immediately after leaving because this visit was extremely disappointing. I am in my twenties and I feel sometimes providers overlook the components of a basic physical exam because I appear to be healthy and have no family history of disease. This is unfortunately the problem with our healthcare system. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Pevner primarily for a physical exam. He was kind, but rushed. Timely? Yes, but this is probably because he does not actually perform the physical exam. NEVER in my life have I visited a doctor who did not listen to my S1,S2 (heart) and lung sounds....until today.Other than take my blood pressure and take a brief history, Dr. Pevner did not place his hands on me once. History is subjective! Even if I have no complaints of SOB or chest pain, it is his job to determine this objectively with measurements. I am in the healthcare field, and I have an understanding of my health and what is expected from a medical doctor, but I can only sympathize with those who are unaware of their dysfunctions and are being treated by a provider who is not thorough in his examination. Extremely unfortunate visit, it honestly upsets me.
The Doc is great. He is a person first, then a doctor. I just lost my 41 yr old son in june and we actually talked about it. How I felt, what he could do, ways he could help. Super easy to make appointments with Zocdoc, cancel, rebook, never any phone calls. You get reminders in your phone. Great Doc, Great System Zocdoc !!!
Very pleasant and kind. He is attentive to the patients needs and problems, he does not only want to treat the ailment he also is concerned about the patients problems and issues that may be adding more to the patient's diagnosis.
He is timely, professional, and thorough.
Dr. Pevner is an EXCELLENT Doctor. He really cares about the well being of his patients. He has the patients of a saint. His staff is the most pleasant and always get things done without you ever having to call back. I'm VERY happy to have Dr. Pevner as my provider, HE'S THE BEST!
Excellent Physician. Respectful. Responsive.
My visit with Dr. Pevner is always good. His staff is pleasant and curtious. With that said, when I see Dr. Pevner for any illness, I know I am receiving the proper care.
