Courteous ,reassuring and professional. I felt extremely comfortable with my consultation and treatment...
Horrible wait time Unbelievable wait time. Doesn't even make sense to make an appointment. Everyone has the same appointment time. Office is overcrowded until you feel claustrophobic
I've known Dr. Makower over the years. I would recommend anyone to him, he has a great personality. And know his job
I was a little upset when I arrived and saw the waiting room. It looks like a clinic. It's shabby and rundown. Cheap chairs and chaos. However, I found out that Dr. Makower is only there a few hours a week and shares this space with 3 other doctors. The office and exam rooms are owned by Brooklyn Hospital and since the Doctors don't own the suites, they are there more as a convenience for the neighborhood. For that alone he gets 5 stars. The actual exam was quick because I had nothing wrong and I was doing preventive medicine for possible diabetic problems in the future. He discussed my options for different problems that might arise and told me what to look for and some suggestions on diet. I was glad I stayed and got to see him. It was worth the wait, and he was on time. I was surprised but now a happy patient.
Dr. Makower was so nice and patient and thoughtful. I never felt rushed once I got in to see him and he took the time to really discuss my foot injury with me. We did get started much later than planned but he apologized for the delay and was gracious about it, which most doctors are not!
the visits were prefect until i tried to get in contact with them. months later im still waiting. they dont return calls or anything. so sad i enjoyed them. not anymore
Just an FYI, there was a mistake on ZocDoc about the address. They are located at 240 Willoughby. The office staff was wonderful in contacting me about the change and staying a little late so that I could keep my appointment.
I thought he was great. Patient and efficient. He made my waiting time worth it.
I thought once I saw him, he was knowledgable. However, the amount of time I had to wait to see him was really unacceptable (approx ~2hrs). I booked appointment through ZocDoc for a specific time, but once I arrived I got the feeling that it was more of a walk-in clinic than appointment based. You just right your name on a piece of paper and you see the doctor in that order. This suspicion was pretty much confirmed the 2nd time I attempted to see him. I also felt the office was quite inefficiently run. It was a very frustrating experience to say the least.
Dr. Makower immediately knew the solution to my problem. I visited the Dr. due to a very painful ingrown toenail. Dr. Makower fixed this problem within 15 mins, and also gave me knowledge of how to prevent a reoccurrence. Awesome doctor, very satisfied.
At this particular office, (55 Green Avenue) I was not informed prior to my visit that a referral was needed. The representative took the time to gather my insurance information; at no time was i informed that i would need a referral "for this site". Any patient of Dr. Makower is aware that on most occasions you can walk in--based on a phone call. And to add, the staff at the very least could have attempted to resolve the issue by calling for the referral. Dr. Makower and his staff overall provides excellent service at his other locations. Waiting is a problem sometimes, but at least you will get top of the line surperbe service.
fine he ran late and appologized
I really liked Dr. Bryan, there was a mix up with my appointment and I had to wait for over an hour, that would be my only complaint.
Listens and offers options. Doesn't rush patients.
very nice comforting guy and knows what he's doing
Great guy, he listens and tries to make you as comfortable as possible.
Even though I was waiting for an hour , if it comes to your health it is worth to wait when seeing a good doctor.
Superb service, remarkably knowlegeable and absolutely professional.
He's a nice doc and was great when I did get to see him, but I saw him in an office that he's only in once a week and 1) they dont take credit cards, so I couldn't pay him and 2) they had the TV up so loud I got a headache. Blech! But, he was a nice doc, gave me samples of medicine, and I was with him for 15 minutes. (I am mailing him a check! For real! But, to his other office...)
He seems to be a knowledgeable doctor with very good bedside manners. He communicates well with the patient and takes time to explain, clarify and respond to your questions. The waiting time though can be improved (my visit started a bit over an hour from my appointment time).
I had to wait a long time before seeing the doctor.
Dr.Makower was amazing I had an ingrown nail and he removed it without any pain! He even gave me a follow up appointment for next week! =]
I liked his manner. He answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable.
Usually have to wait but he is very patient and listens to his patients. Excellent with the elderly
Dr. Makower answers questions in real talk, not doctor language. He does not rush you out of the office. He comes across as though he genuinely cares about his patients feet :) As long as he practices podiatry, he'll be my podiatrist.
This appointment was for my 16 yr old son. My son refuses to allow any other podiatrist to check, or work on his feet. My son suffers with painful ingrown toenails. Dr. Makower painlessly removed the problem, and my son is good to go. We will continue to seek out Dr. Makowers services. Awesome Doc!!
I visited the office three times. The doctor (BM) is really good, although on at least one occasion he was not there and I was seen by one of his associates (also not bad). I had to wait more than an hour each time I went to see him.
I had foot surgery with Dr. Mackower 5 years ago to correct hammer toes which i am very pleased with very minimal scaring that can not be detected. I have also recommended him to friends for similar issues. I recently visited the doctor with a ankle injury. He is always very through and great at explaining all procedures and treatments.
