The appointment was very brief. Even though it was a new patient appointment that I had specifically requested additional time for. I felt very rushed and did not feel like I had enough time for an accurate history. There was also and extensive new patient packet that they basically ignored. Once in the exam room, the medical assistant asked all the same questions I had already documented in the paperwork, plus a few other odd ones about my home. (ie if I have a smoke detector or firearms in the house) I am going to give this doctor another couple of appointments to see if he is just very data driven. Maybe he will warm up and slow down once he has all the test results he ordered.
Dr. Licon, seemed like he would be a wonderful MD, however we were quite disappointed when we got there, waited, filled out all the paperwork only to find out that we needed a geriatric doctor. We would’ve thought with all the on line information we gave as well as my initial walk-in visit to inquire about new patients letting the staff I spoke to know my mother was overweight and almost 80 yrs old with health issues coming from another state. I have to always seek out locations beforehand for accessibility before I take my mom anywhere. I think they would’ve told me they’re not taking patients at my mothers age and size. So it seemed like a great waste of our time. But otherwise the service, staff was great and the doctor was wonderful during our short visit with him. So we went home and I scheduled another appointment with a Geriatric MD for next week. Overall I recommend it for younger people and to ask more questions before filling out all the paperwork and scheduling an appointment.
Great visit! Thank-you entire staff for the smiles and warm conversation
Dr. Licon is not professional and has no bedside manner. He sent my labwork to an out of network lab and he is supposed to be my gatekeeper. I had to make multiple calls to get that resolved. When you go to see him, the only treatment plan he has for you is a referral. Not everything needs to be referred. Also I wanted my husband in the room and he had a fit and would not come in until my husband left. he had the nerve to tell me no provider will do a pap with her husband or boyfriend in the room. That is a lie since my last OB/GYN had not issues with that. I got dressed and that is the last time I ever went there. I have changed providers and I will no go back. If he is afraid to treat or interact with patients then he should not be a physician.
Dr.Licon and his staff were excellent and very professional.
He listened to me, as well as reviewed the notes in chart. (You'd be surprised how many doctors don't do this.) I was very comfortable with our conversation about my health. He was compassionate, encouraging, and asked questions, and didn't order unnecessary blood work. It seemed as though he takes an active role in the office management, as I saw him interact with several staff members. I find this a sign of respect for his staff as well as a sign he is personally vested in the practice. His demeanor with all, including my young child who was with me for my appointment, was pleasant, respectful, and kind. A+
He listened to me and gave me a specialist to follow up with which is exactly what I needed. He was great to talk to as well, a smiles
Very attentive to what you have to say. Does not rush to appointment or try to push things you are not interested in.
Dr. Licon was very professional and I will recommend him to everyone I know that is looking for an excellent doctor. I will be using him as my Primary Doctor from now on. Louella S
I like that I can schedule same day appointments. I don't like that everything seems to be in a hurry. I get time efficiency but not at the cost of feeling like I have been checked in and off of a list. I do come regularly. So it's the only negaitive. Knowledgeable doctor. All staff needs to slow down and smile.
Very nice man very concerned about my injury
Very helpful and informative and really nice!!!
Dr. Licon was great.I am new to Texas and in search of a new doc. Listened to my concerns, discussed how best to move forward, and was very friendly to boot. Since I am getting up there in age, middle fifties, nice to have someone explain what all the little aches and pains could be and offer the best ways to remedy. Office staff and nurse were very nice as well.
Nice new office with online appointments. Highly recommended.
Good doctor Listen to concerns addressed any possible concerns on his behalf and overall was excellent.
Dr. Lincon was prompt, profession, and positive.
Always leave satisfied that my issues were addressed and action given to make me well again. He is very attuned to your concerns.
Extremely upsetting! On my first visit he referred me to a psychiatrist who completely lied in her notes! I swear she was writing about a different person & she advised me to continue to get my anxiety meds from Dr. Licon. He has refused to believe me & has referred me to a different psychiatrist, but due to my previous referral he sent me to, I'm terrified to see anyone he sends me to. He refuses to continue to fill my anxiety meds & today my kid asked why. He said I was under psychiatric care, which I am not, due to her lying & what she wrote in her notes & I have told him this at every appt since & he has told me to get a new psychiatrist! My kid got upset due to him starting me on the meds & now refuses to fill them. I saw that quack psychiatrist for maybe 15min & she barely listened to me! She even took a lunch order during this time & our appt was 1 day after the anniversary of my son being killed! How she came up with what she wrote, I may never know, I do know it wasn't me & she DID tell me to continue to get my anxiety meds from my pcp. I will be finding a new pcp who trusts me & understands my illness, not only my physical, but mental, also.
First visit trying to get a P C P for the time I will be working here. The doctortook time to get to know my concerns and started to work on them.
Very careing. Takes time and did not just rush in and out.
Dr Licon was very friendly and easy to talk to. He was genuine and had great bed side manner. I highly recommend.
Good bedside manner and very attentive and detailed..seems genuinely concerned with my needs.
Great staff and great thorough doctor who listened to my concerns. Smooth process from sign-in to sign-out, and best of all I feel like all my concerns were addressed, without any rush (or lecturing)! The reviews are true! World recommend!
Dr. Licon helped me with a physical required for electroconvulsive therapy. He did recommend me to a cardiologist based on a slightly off ECG (the cardiologist took one look and let me go), but I commend the attention to detail.
Dr. Licon's staff was friendly and courteous, they took the time to ask questions and actually understood what I was saying. Dr. Licon himself seemed to keep up on current research, after my exam he took me off of one of my medications and scheduled a followup for next month, without my having to ask about it. This was by far one of the better experiences I've had at a primary care physician's office in a VERY long time, I really think I've found a new doctor.
Great Answered all my questions .
I was looking for a new Primary Care Provider. Dr Lincon was upfront in telling me that my healthcare was too complex for a Family Care Provider and that I needed to select an Internal Medicine Specialist as a Primary Care Provider. His office provided me with a list of qualified specialists to consider.
Dr. Licon was very friendly, very professional, and took time to examine me. Nurse and receptionist were also very friendly and very professional. I would recommend Dr. Licon to all my customers, friends, and relatives.
Really kind staff! Fast process.
From the moment he walk in the room he showed interest to what my daughter needs were. Took care of her from beginning to end. Patient first no mater how long it took. I would recommend anyone and everyone .
