Dr. Thakur did residency and got Board certification in Internal Medicine from New York Methodist Hospital (affiliated Weill Medical College of Cornell University, Member New York Presbyterian Health Care) 1998 - 2001. Subsequently he did fellowship and got Board certified in Geriatrics sub specialty as added qualification from New York Methodist Hospital, Brooklyn, NY 2001 - 2002.
After training he moved to Florida and worked as attending medicine and private internal medicine practice in Lakeland from 2002-2004. Then he relocated to South East Florida and worked as Hospitalist in Delray Beach and Boca Raton from 2004 to 2007 in Delray Medical Center and West Boca Medical center.
In September 2007 he started independent private practice as AIM Healthcare, LLC to provide traditional Internal Medicine office based, Hospital, Nursing homes and assisted home patient care to serve Broward and Palm Beach counties. He currently has privileges in West Boca Medical Center, North West Medical Center and Coral Springs Medical Center.
