Dr. Christ-Ann Magloire, MD, FACOG

OB-GYN

Professional statement

Serenity Holistic Ob/Gyn is dedicated to providing the best patient care! PLEASE NOTE: Last patient appointment is at 3:30 PM and the office does not see patients on Fridays. Some procedures are for consultation only for the first appointment and then the procedure will be scheduled based on efficiency of medical records. In order to accommodate patients we have built a multilingual staff! Our staff speaks Spanish, Creole and Russian! Dr. Christ-Ann Magloire is a board-certified physician with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Boston University Medical Center in Jun 30, 2003 in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology Boston, MA. She has been an active physician in the community since 2003. With a midwife in-house, to look after your care when the Doctor is not in the office, our practice is intimate and always accessible. Because the nature of our business involves providing the best possible care for our patients, sometimes the doctor must leave unexpectedly to check on or deliver a "bundle of joy" and the midwife will be seeing her patients or if not possible, your appointment may need to be rescheduled. If you have any questions or concerns or need help scheduling an appointment or procedure, please, feel free to contact our office with any questions or concerns!

I have visited this office before. Yet, this visit was disappointing. The office location moved and is unfortunately sub-par in appearance and hygiene. The examination room I was seen in did not have a sink - for an OB-GYN practice thatis unacceptable! Dr. Magloire is an excellent physician with outstanding experience but her new office and style of practice does not represent these fine attributes. Regrettably, I will not return.

I went to Doctor Magloire as my last resource for a VBA2C. She accepted me even though there was no information of my first pregnancy which back then was 12 years ago and we did not know if I had aspecial scar or not. Everything was peaches and cream the whole pregnancy (Yes we will make this happen I was told many times) probably because I was always seen by the midwife which I had no problem. When you are going for a VBAC with Dr. Magloire she sets a date for all of her VBAC patients to explain the risks and the things that are needed from our part to make it happen. She tells you, you need a doula so you can labor with her as much as you can in your home and also that you need to pay her a fee for your TOLAC and that covers 4 hours of her time. This is why she wants you to labor at home as much until you are ready. Also she tells you how she won’t induce you or put pitocin on you because that increases the risk of uterine rupture. My water broke at 6am. This is my 3rd baby, but with my first being born premature and having had a c-section 10 years later for the second one I did not know what to expect aside for what I read and heard. I contacted my doula and since I couldn’t feel the baby move for a long time she tells me to go to the hospital. I go to the hospital (Jackson North) and they tell me that I had given positive to streptococcus b so I needed to stay. I was told that Doctor Magloire was at the hospital around 2pm, my Doula couldn’t make it so The Gathering Place sends me a replacement. When Dr. Magloire finally arrives to my room, she asked my Replacement Doula to leave the room. She checks me and tells me that I was still at 3cm and that she could offer me 3 options: 1. Break what’s left of my water and see if I progress. 2. Put me on pitocin and see if I progress. (Keep in mind that she told me that was not an option for a VBAC specially with a suspected special scar) 3. A repeated c-section. And she added this: “Keep in mind that you are being charged by the hour”. She left me and my husband alone and I burst in to tears. I did not mention this before, but I lost my job just when I found out I was pregnant and my husband had all the financial load on his shoulders which was very difficult at the time. The money I used to pay the fee for my VBAC I took from my severance, because I really wanted to make this happen. I had to make the decision of having another c-section because I could not afford to pay her more. They get me prepared. They did not respect my birth plan even though I had specific requests if I were to have a repeated c-section. They made jokes inside the Op room and when she came to see me the next day, she told me as a joke that she had given me a mini tummy tuck and I asked her about my old scar and she said that the uterus is so forgiving that there was no evidence of that scar. I ended up with a 3rd c-section and another scar in my heart because I was denied my right to give birth due to money interests. I do not recommend this doctor to anyone. She took advantage of my situation which is very wrong specially if you are an advocate for VBACs and Natural Birth.

Dr. Maglorie delivered my healthy first baby only a few days ago at North Shore Medical Center and I must say that she was patient with me and most importantly she was amazing!!! She knows her stuff and she guided methroughout my delivery. I had a vaginal birth and she didn’t rush me or made me feel uncomfortable. And it didn’t take a long time for my baby to arrive. My man and I are beyond pleased with her and the midwife, Damarys. Damarys is who you check in with at all of your appointments and She reports everything to Dr. Maglorie. When the time comes for me to deliver again, Dr. Maglorie is who we’ll be going back to. She’s very professional, she was prepared, all of my questions were answered, and like I said before, she made me comfortable.

Shes very unproffessional and aas never there for any of my appointments. I met her on the day of my delivery and on top of that she showed up and was a bit rude. She didnt know anything regarding my pregnancy. She had me push when i was 9cm so I ended up having to get stitches because I ripped. This lady is horrible. If it werent for her amazing midwife, throughout the doctor visits, I would have never went to her in the first place.

This will be my second pregnancy with Dr.Magloire & her staff. She a very knowledgeable doctor and also she have a midwife who is also very knowledgeable. The midwife is the person you see the most thru out your pregnancy butshe meets with Dr.Magloire and give her the info on every patient so when finally seeing Dr.Magloire she knows everything about. Dr.Magloire is amazing at delivery, she takes control, patience, makes a relaxing environment. I had my son with no epidural and he was delivered less then 2 hours she amazing at what she does and so is her staff

Horrible doctor office. The parking is horrible. Receptionsist was very unprofessional. There was a sign that said you cannot throw tissue paper in the toilet. There was no paper towels in the bathroom. In the room where they diagnose you;thepaper that is put over the bed (hospital table) did not completely cover the tables. The receptionist left the front desk to be with a patient for thirty minutes. This place is a reck, ghetto, dirty and unprofessional. I will never go back to this office again.

I will never recommend my worst enemy to see Dr. Maglorie. I started visiting her office about 20 weeks into my pregnancy after my husband was stationed in Miami. Late into my pregnancy when I would have horrible pains, i wouldcall her after hours number and every single time I asked her what I should do her only response is "I can't give medical advice over the phone", REALLY?! You are my doctor and responsible for the well being of my child and myself. She only wants to deliver at Jackson North just because it's more "convenient" to her, even though she has privileges at Memorial West and Miramar. By far this has been the worst OB/GYN I had ever dealt with. Oh and she shows up to my delivery room with her large coach purse!! Ugh so much has gone wrong and I wish I delivered at memorial miramar or west instead with another doctor because she does not deserve to be paid for something she didn't even do! My husband & I will be filing a complaint against her. PLEASE AVOID WORST OB I EVER DEALT WITH!!!!!!
