** Please Note - If you do not see the day or time that you're looking for, please call the office for additional appointment times ** Dr. Sorensen believes in practicing patient-centered medicine. He has tried to accumulate as much experience in treating a wide variety of mental health conditions in various settings as possible, and uses that expertise to work together with his patients in developing a plan to best address their personal needs and priorities. He’s especially interested in incorporating the patient’s personal history, cultural and religious beliefs into their treatment plan when appropriate. Rather than dictate one treatment plan, he will discuss the relative merits of different therapeutic options and he and the patient will pick which one has the best chance of success and meeting the patient’s goals.
Verified Patient Reviews
First, I want to clarify that I am happy with Dr. Sorensen. However, I am NOT happy with Savant Cares' administrative staff and website. #1. Their website is awful! I spent almost 40 minutes filling out the patient intake form, then a couple of steps before finishing, the website tells me I have some empty fields. I looked at the fields and the information was there. Finally, I tried going back to the previous question and ALL my information was DELETED! I tried 3 different web browsers on 2 different computers with the same result. I called admin and told them what happen and the response I got was " Well, it worked for other patients." Which is dismissive and NOT helpful to me at all! #2. I was asked to create an account and enter some of my insurance and payment information on their website, and guess what? it happened again! My information was deleted. #3. I called to ask what my out of pocket costs would be, gave them my insurance information, and I was told an acceptable amount. Instead, I get charged for four times that amount! If you don't know, don't give me a number just to get me off the phone! I would have been more than happy to go to another doctor if I'd known I was going to be charged that amount! Finally, I show up to my appointment and I was greeted by a tablet! There is no receptionist, no front desk, not one actual person I could talk to before my appointment. It's become clear to me admin has been outsourced to outside the US. Everyone that I ever talked to had the same foreign accent, which to be fair, I do as well. The point is this - A. If you're going to use technology, then that technology needs to work! Especially, when patients are giving you very personal and sensitive information. B. Don't tell me its going to cost this amount, when it's going to cost a LOT more or don't know. C. Outsourcing is fine when trying to troubleshoot a printer, but for me there is a certain kind of comfort knowing I can talk to someone at my doctor's office in person if there's an issue.
Great facilities and administrative processes. Dr. Sorensen is very thoughtful and patient to listening my concerns. I feel absolutely comfortable to communicate with him.
Really patient and good listener. Seems like he really cares. Respectful
Convenient check-in process, no wait time. Dr. Sorensen was very informative and helped me come up with a few treatments for my anxiety. He was very easy to talk to and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
Very professional, courteous, to the point, and yet a great listener - I know I'm going to enjoy seeing him more regularly after this 1st visit!
Very knowledgeable. Professional. Took time with me the first appointment to review history and meds. Very happy. Will continue to see as my new MD
He was very intuitive and asked great questions to get a deeper understanding of what could possibly be wrong. He gave many alternatives for medication and non medication methods to improve my mental health.
I felt comfortable. He listen to me and asked great questions. I like how he explained things to me in details.
Doc was great and took time to get to know me. Appreciated how he was able to get me to open up.
I have not got to know dr Sorensen that well yet but he seems like a great guy from my first visit with him.
