In private practice since 2003, Dr. Spears focuses on the importance of preventive health care to promote quality of life. She encourages her patients to exercise, eat a nutritious diet, and maintain a healthy weight to promote good health. She also focuses her care on proven preventive measures, such as blood pressure and cholesterol management, and cancer screening. She believes in partnering with her patients to help them achieve their health-related goals.
Dr. Spears received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and General Science at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, before attending medical school at the University of Nebraska. She then completed her residency and served as Chief Resident at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center. Upon completion of her residency in 2000, she worked as a hospitalist for three years before turning to outpatient medicine.
Dr. Spears enjoys an active lifestyle with regular exercise and outdoor activities. She loves to travel and also enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
