About Dr. David Shusterman
Dr. David Shusterman is a brilliant and engaging urologist serving Manhattan and Forest Hills. Dr. Shusterman earned his medical degree from Stony Brook University and completed his residency programs in urology and general surgery at the Robert Wood Johnson Hospital (Rutgers). Dr. Shusterman has been practicing for 18 years and is Board certified by the American Board of Urology. Dr. Shusterman makes every effort to put his patients at ease and provide them with the best comprehensive care. To that end, his consultations are always very precise and thorough. He aims to have a complete testing and treatment environment in the office. Utilizing the latest ultrasound diagnostic equipment most of the results are given the same day right in the office. No more getting referred to another location and waiting for days before the results are disclosed. He also has a blood draw station in the office so you do not have to travel to a blood lab anymore. Everything is done at the time of the office visit making you experience convenient and time efficient. If a procedure is needed, it can usually be done right in the office as he has two certified operative rooms and the latest equipment available. For example, he can break up kidney stones in the office with sound wave lithotripsy without the traditional invasive surgery used elsewhere. In addition any painful treatments can be safely done with anesthesia right in the office. This improves patient comfort and is less traumatic than the traditionally painful methods in use elsewhere. If you have been traumatized in the past, you need not fear. Dr. Shusterman looks forward to meeting you for an office consultation at his high tech modern office just 1 block from grand central at 42nd Street and 2nd Ave and in Forest Hills, Queens.

Patient reviews for Dr. David Shusterman
This office does a very intensve tesing they check everything great service
This is the worst office I have ever encountered. Show up to your appointment 1.5 hours late, no point in being on time. Receptionists about as helpful as a wet towel. Go ahead and try calling this establishment—you will be on hold for hours, and if someone does by chance pick up, they will likely hang up on you. Happened twice.
Thanks god for Dr. Shusterman. He saved me from getting my private’s scoped. I got a kidney stone and another doctor wanted to scope me even though I’m prone for infection. Shusterman offered Lithtropsy and was the best decision of my life. He is very thorough and takes the time to explain everything. Very busy small office but incredible incredible results. The tech and staff that actually did the procedure was INCREDIBLE as well. Thank you thank you thank you.
Ok at his specialty, but his behavior is kind of fake.
The clinic is great, very personal and respectful treatment from all personal. I did not have to wait at all. Everything was explained to me in a professional and empathetic manner. They were also very quick to respond to further treatment needed to solve my issue as well as educate me on the topic.
This guy is the best. He’s compassionate and as technical as they come
Dr. Shusterman was extremely helpful. Answered all my questions and calmed my nerves. His staff was also great. Only negative thing to say was that the wait was very long.
He was great, funny kind and alleviated concerned. Nice to speak to a doctor with a sense of humor!
Dr Shusterman has an army of assistants. They were all competent and polite. I got an appointment for the following day and was able to get all the tests I needed on-site. It was fast and smooth.
I was happy to know the doctor wanted to get to the root of my problem
Great doctors. Patients are all loud and angry. Wait time is ok. Very thorough
An exceptional visit. The staff was friendly. It wasnt long before I got called into room. Dr shusterman was very cool, and knowledgeable. He gave me my best options and he took the time to listen to all my issues. Would highly recommend and can't wait to have another appointment with him.
The experience in this office is nothing short of awful. No one cares one bit about your condition, your experience, or making you sit waiting in a terrible waiting room for hours. No one is polite. I cannot express deeply enough how much I would discourage anyone from seeing this doctor. Truly awful in every way.
Extremely professional. Yet I never saw Dr. Shusterman himself - only his many assistants. It was fine but might be concerning if my issue was bigger.
Dr. Shusterman was very professional and patient when it came to figuring out my issues and what I need. He listens and is very competent, and will explain the issues in detail. Glad I chose this doctor.
Very happy with the service
Excellent service, very professional and thorough. Great staff
Very professional. Does his job extremely well.
Very nice professional staff. Doctor was very pleasant and professional. Very pleased.
Dr Shusterman is extremely experienced and attentive. He was able to properly diagnosis me and took the proper measures to help me with my situation.
They tell you to come with a full bladder, but when you get there they make you sit in uncomfortable chairs in agony because of your need to urinate. The staff was friendly and polite. The Dr was very nice and explained things in detail!! I’ll go back but not with such a full bladder
Great overall experience.
Excellent
Nice thanks
They were great! Thank you for dealing with my attitude. I was not a happy camper. Love that they are open on Sundays and traveled from manhattan there.
I really like to come to this office. Yes you will spend there a little bit more than an hour, but all the test will be done the same day and you won’t need to come back multiple times to do an ultrasound or something else. Staff members are very nice and polite. Dr Shusterman is a professional and answered all my questions .
One of the best urologist. Very polite. Very professional.
Excellent service!!! Definitely best urologist in Manhattan. Has state of the art technology equipment. Didn’t need to go elsewhere to do my testing, everything was done in the office with minimum wait time. I will definitely come again.
Too long to wait in a doctors office. Not acceptable.
EXELENTE SERVICIO MUY CONTENTO.
Not crazy about the waiting room area set-up. Not only did it remind me of a walk-in clinic but, there is no privacy. Impossible to talk to the front desk staff without the rest of the waiting room hear what you are saying unless you whisper. Its very efficient that they have you complete your paperwork on-line before the appointment so that it is ready when you get there. However, I had a 1:30pm appointment and they asked if I could come in at 1:00pm instead and I was not seen by the Dr. until almost 2pm.
During my consultation he: - took a phonecall from his lawyer - talked politics (pro-Trump anti Clinton) - long awkward monologues instead of examining me.
Very blunt and crass when speaking about delicate topics.
Reception staff were efficient. Providers (Dr, PA, technician, and phlebotomist) were all very kind and made me comfortable. They included as many tests/procedures as they can in one day to avoid another patient visit which I appreciated very much. Dr. Shusterman took the sufficient time for consultation.
Great first office visit. Staff and the Doctors asst. very informative. Looking forward to meeting doctor.
Best experience I've ever had In any doctors office. They are very knowledgeable and treat you with high regard. They answered all of my questions and were very professional. I definitely recommend this office.
Extremely nice and very honest! I have never felt more confortable.
Thorough, knowledgeable, great bedside manner, informative. tests done in his office immediately by the technicians. Some could use to be a little more polished but all in all an excellent experience.
Very pleased. Professionalism and informative, highly recommend.
Pleasant visit. Very friendly and helpful!
Wouldn't give me test results until I came to office while I was out of state for a month. Tried to up sell on everything.
Awesome doctor and very easy to talk to.
Didnt see him personally but i saw his assistant I believe, very lovely lady.. its great when you can talk to a doctor about your medical issues in a regular conversation and laugh and smile.
Nice staff excellent doctor, no waiting everything was done in the office
Some of the staff are not sufficiently trained to perform basic procedures without difficulty and there appears to be a lot of chaos and uncertainty behind the scenes regarding what to do. Dr. Schusterman also does not provide medical records to clients on the company's portal that they are supposed to do. All-in-all, not a good experience.
Dr Shusterman is a great doctor and a very nice man. I felt very comfortable talking about my issues with him. Best part of his office is that he has all the Lab equipment and ultrasound machinery in his office so u get your Diagnosis immediately. The nurses who performed all the tests were the nicest I have ever experienced and made me feel very comfortable during many unpleasant tests. Wait time was a bit long but I made the appointment an hour before I showed up so I don't think it was updated. In any case-it was worth the wait. Would definitely recommend this dr to anyone who needs his services.
Office personnel were courteous and professional. The wait time was wonderful! They saw me as soon as I finished the paperwork. I was seen by a PA who was very nice and knowledgeable. I cannot give a final recommendation until I have all the results, but everything so far pretty upbeat!
Great Doctor ... very informative... very attentive. Made sure I understood what was going on....
Dr. Shusterman wasn't the issue, his office was. Not only did they not have me down for an appointment that THEY gave me, but 2 days before the scheduled surgery I was told that they have no doctor to perform the procedure and referred me to another doctor!
