Best doctor i have ever had. She is so thorough that I do not mind the wait time it can sometimes take. She answers all my questions and explains things in ways I am able to understand. She guides me onnutrition and other alternative ways i can improve my health rather then just prescribing medicine I don’t need or minimizing my concerns. Despite moving far away, I am going to continue seeing her as long as I am able to.

Went to Dr. Tapscott's Bethesda office and felt like I had stepped into the Twilight Zone. The space was so obviously meant to be used as an office and had been lazily converted into a doctor's office. Instead of a professionalnurse's station to check in at, two receptionists sat behind standard desks in the middle of a huge empty room. When I paid my co-pay in cash one of the receptionists had to turn around to a plastic stack of drawers and rummage around to find loose bills to give me as change. I was then escorted to the "exam room" which was five feet in front of the receptionist's desk and obviously supposed to be an office, so much so that there was a WINDOW into the main office/ reception area that they had tried to cover with plastic adhesive (which was sloppily bubbled and twisted up all over the glass). In addition to the complete lack of privacy from the window, all of the equipment in the room was roll away and temporary. There was nothing on the walls, no built in cabinets with various equipment in it, just a roll away blood pressure machine, a stool, and an exam table. Felt like a set up for a kid playing doctor. Finally, though Dr. Tapscott was friendly, she asked me if I had any digestive or sinus issues and when I said I did not, she insisted I still get a full allergy panel just to be sure. When I repeated that I had absolutely no reason to need the test, she once again insisted that I must get an allergy screening through her office. I brushed it off but, when I signed out , the receptionist required that I set up a date for the allergy test I had refused repeatedly. One of the most bizarre experiences I have ever had and would not recommend to anyone.

At first I was a little annoyed because the office is very open (I think this is a new location for them so perhaps they’re just getting setup) and does not allow for much privacy, which was surprising. I had alreadyfilled out paperwork online but of course when I got there, there was more and there is no paper option everything in done on an iPad (not a fan especially since their internet was slow). Plus only 2 front desk people and the phone was constantly ringing which made check-in slow. However Yolonda (Medical Assistant) and Dr. Tapscott were fabulous! They both have a wonderful bedside manner, very knowledgable and personable. I look forward to continuing my care with Dr. Tapscott and her team, so happy all the good reviews lead me to her :)

I have never been to a doctor's office that looks this way. It looked like it was a temporary setup and the doctor had either just moved into the office. The setup seems substandard. The nurse didn't even get my weightor height, she just asked me what it was.

Dr. Tapscott is everything I have been looking for in a doctor. Her knowledge exceeds traditional biomedicine and is inclusive of more natural and preventative treatment. Very grateful for finding this practitioner.

Honestly she was not very attentive this visit. They still haven't contacted me in response to a complaint I made weeks ago about lack of privacy and very inappropriate treatment from a member of staff. Probably leaving the practice.

Dr. Tapscott is a calm, gentle doctor with an interest in non medication practices. This isn't to say that she wouldn't prescribe a medication if she felt it necessary, however, the clinic is more interested in prevention, which is certainlynot a bad thing! They are oddly into doing allergy tests, like, sales pitching it almost. I assured them that I didn't have any allergies and yet I was tested anyway. I was right, but it never hurts to check, I guess. As for office presentation, it's clear that they had recently moved into the space as things were disorganized and out of sorts, however, the necessary and important objects and medical supplies all had a safe home. I'd say they just need to take a few hours to get everything looking up to snuff, because it really does deter people to see files (personal or not, I'm not sure) lying on the floor in a small pile behind the front desk. I'll definitely return as it's surprisingly hard to come by a female doctor who has time to see patients these days, but I do recommend an office trip to Ikea.

I am an experienced weight trainer with a strict diet and workout regimen and I was looking for a doctor with a focus on fat loss and health. She knows her stuff and while I disagree with her on some aspectsof my health, she is a doctor and I am not. She did not hesitatate to give me the "what for" and looked for areas of concern. She is very thorough and professional. She brings a level of insight and care that I would expect from a loved one. If you are looking for a doctor which helps you get better and not merely maintain, you are in good hands with Dr. Tapscott. She is definitely a "prolonged life specialist"

I almost don't want to recommend her so that people don't start crowding her clinic, but she is truly wonderful, takes time with you, listens, never rushed me, talked as much as i wanted to, no computer, just human-human interaction.

I will preface by saying everyone at the office is extremely friendly. However, I can't say anything else positive about my experience. I would rather the Staff be a bit curt but timely and professional. I've never spent less than twohours at this office, each time my appointment for a simple presciprtion refill (Rx that I've taken for over 10 years). In addition to the extraordinarily long wait times, they sent me a "treatment plan as discussed" that was neither discussed or in any way relevant to me. Unless you have an abundance of time and don't mind a lack of organization, find a difference practice.
