He's a genius in cosmetic dermatology, and he's extremely diligent in his medical dermatology practices as well. I've been coming to Dr. Khuu for years and have always left healthier and happier than when I arrived.

It was a 30-60 minute wait, but I visited the office on the weekend, so I'm not that surprised. This doctor is great. Friendly, knowledgeable. I'll be going back.

Dr. Khuu didn't spend much time with me -- but I came to see him for a specific reason, and he handled it great aplomb. He provided detailed instructions for care and follow-up -- all within about seven minutes. And that seven minutes was less than the time I waited in his office to see him (or rather, be called in by his assistant who performed the preliminary screening and intake -- probably ten minutes). Fast, efficient, took the time he needed, and then he was off to his next patient. Thank you, Dr. Khuu!

Great doctor but he is extremely busy. I had to wait an hour to see him on my first visit. I will update my review if this continues or it is a one time issue.

Really good, I had this issue for several weeks that I thought was muscular but it was related to the skin, and right away he diagnosed me and sent me the proper medication!

I was charged atrociously for the medicines over the counter on wednesday (June 15 2016). I opened the facial cleaners and it is already almost empty . He has given ne used products. I want my money back. I am going to call his office and return the medicine and demand my money back.

Went in for a visit and the wait was like 15 minutes. Dr. Khuu comes in and exams my skin and within 30 seconds he starts writing a prescription and I leave. Lacking a personal touch in providing patient care.

Spend time with patients. Don't treat them like commodities. You need to make them feel valued and cared for. I waited for 30 minutes and was reviewed in 3 minutes for multiple issues. Not done

Longest wait time I've ever had, they took patients before me that arrived after me and after my scheduled time and they never faxed my prescription to the pharmacy. The doctor himself was nice and knowledgeable but the overall experience was horrible. Don't go here unless you don't mind waiting for over an hour and don't need your prescription faxed in.

Dr Khuu is an incredible person and physician. He's extremely personable and professional. As a younger more progressive physician, he is always on top of the latest technology which is important to me as I am a medical professional and see many physicians stuck in their ways. Dr Khuu researchers, invests in, and stays on the front edge of his area of expertise and I recommend all of my friends, family, and colleagues. A+ after a long history with his care.

Left my first review on Yelp so copying it here. I wish I had read the Yelp reviews before, because my experience is quite common. "Booked through ZocDoc. Arrived 15 minutes before my appointment, but was left waiting for 30 minutes after I had completed all of the forms. Was charged six times more than I was supposed to be. When I received my statement from my insurance company I found this out and contacted them via email, asking for a refund, I did not receive a reply to my email. I contacted them via the phone, and they eventually agreed to send me a refund via check. The doctor told me that everything would be covered by my insurance, but today I received another substantial bill for many from a lab in San Francisco. This company is not trustworthy, and uses tactics that are unethical. Avoid them.

I hate to leave a negative review because Dr. Khuu seems really nice and I understand he is trying to do his best. His way of doing things just happens to be incompatible with a patient like me. So I will start off with the good. Dr. Khuu is very fast and efficient, you won't have to wait and your appointment won't take long - so if that's your main criteria, this is a great office for you to go to! I'm looking for a lot more individual attention and I am budget-conscious. So for me, this wasn't the right doctor. When it was time for my appointment, an assistant, Patrick, escorted me back to an examination room (I hope that's the right terminology). Patrick asked me a few things like what medicine's I'm on, what I'd like to talk to the doctor about. Patrick was very nice and extremely professional. For me though, I was only prepared to subject myself to the humiliation of explaining my skin problems to a doctor. Not also an assistant. Especially not one that looked possibly my age or younger and that I might bump into in a social setting (sorry Patrick! nothing personal). So I didn't actually tell him what I'd really come for. When Dr Khuu came into the examination room a few minutes later, Patrick was also with him. So I still didn't explain why I had come. It was just too embarrassing. Maybe if I'd known ahead of time there was going to be an assistant, I could have handled it, but probably not. So I just said I was there for acne (which I was also there for, but it wasn't the main reason.) Dr Khuu was sitting across the room the whole time. He didn't even look at my skin. I mean not up close at least. That doesn't feel very reassuring to me. I obviously do not know anything about medicine or dermatology, I do not have a medical degree. So maybe this is extremely foolish to say. But I would feel so much better if he had looked closely at my skin. Especially with a light or a magnifying glass. Something to show me that he's being as thorough as possible. Because I, as a patient, have no way of knowing if he really looked at my skin or not. Dr Khuu gave me some prescriptions...one was a topical cream that contained benzoyl peroxide. I used a cream containing benzoyl peroxide once years ago and it literally burned my skin. Like a painful chemical burn. Not a third degree burn or anything, but definitely a burn. So I was really surprised that he didn't ask me whether I had ever used a benzoyl peroxide product before. I also don't think it came up that I've had acne since I was 13. These seem like important things to me, that just got completely glossed over. I totally appreciate that Dr. Khuu is trying to help as many people as he possibly can, but this outlook just wasn't the right fit for me. I can't stress that enough in this review. I am not saying he is a bad doctor, I'm just saying he's not right for a certain kind of patient. When I went to the pharmacy a little while later to pick up the prescriptions, my total came up to way more than I expected or have ever paid for any medication. No wonder no one else prescribes these creams (as he had told me). He said they were better than what I was currently using, but didn't mention the HUGE price differential. (Looking back, I probably should have put two and two together--the medications are better, but no one else prescribes them--seems so obvious in retrospect). I pay next to nothing for what I use now. For enough medication to last me several months. I think if I had known the price before walking up to pay, I would have reacted differently, but being totally caught off guard, I decided not to get the medication (it's just acne after all, not exactly a health threat) and cancel my next appointment.
