Patient reviews for Dr. Ehab Yacoub
I didn’t feel like I was being evaluated closely enough. There is also a long wait and in-office receptionists are inattentive. Phone operators are very helpful however.
Front desk is very professional. NP David is awesome! Highly recommend!
Very professional and knowledgeable, clear and helpful. Glad to have found them!
It was easy to make an appointment and I was seen promptly. I’m new to the area and just wanted to continue medication that has worked well for a long time. I was assessed, given refills and a follow up in a month. Hassle free and nice and professional staff.
Very personable, professional, and helpful.
I’m always happy with Dr. Yacoub and his right hand man David.
I was late, very late. I'd mixed up the time. The office staff and doctor were so gracious about it and saw me anyway!
Cash only office with the rudest staff imaginable. Completely unprofessional and actually PUSHED PAINKILLERS. I’ve never experienced anything like it. I was not written a prescription for enough medication until my next appointment, and when I called for a refill, I was told that they would not be doing that and refuse to assist me. Never go here - it’s a scam.
His prescribed medications were not effective in the long run.
It’s always pleasant and everyone from the doctor to the front desk are always so nice!
I see David Thorton. He is wonderful. He listens and cares. He also calls you back the same day if something is going on. Thank you David!
Kind and caring.
Great doctor and easy to book appointments. I had to wait a bit because it was my first time, but other than that it was great.
I thought he was very thorough and professional. Also very kind and genuinely cared about my visit. Highly recommend
Dr. Yacoub is always extremely attentive and seems genuinely interested in what I have to say.
I think his staff could be a little more personable and organized.
The doctor is CASH ONLY, which is shady, to begin with, but also a very rude front desk staff, and completely lacking in respect/care for patients by now following up with record requests in a reasonable time. I would suggest everyone stay far, far away from this office.
Very understanding and attentive.
I've been going to Dr. Yacoub for a few years and I always appreciate his advice.
They actually listen to you and work with you to get you the proper medication and help that you need. I finally feel like I'm getting control of my life again.
I love Andrea, she listens and truly cares.
It's always a pleasure. Dr. Thornton and Dr. Yacoub are both incredible doctors. They genuinely care about their patients, which is hard to find in this town. The staff are lovely as well. They're all kind and compassionate to every single person who walks through that door. I'm lucky to have found them. :)
Awesome nurse and care.
Not Bad at all
I recently moved to the area. He was great. One visit he was not there but had someone fill in for him. Also very good. No complaints.
Patient, respectful and cares to help
So nice, always available for last min appointments.. Never have to wait more than five min..
Very helpful and friendly doctor and staff. They've helped me greatly with simple things I hadn't known about before and are always caring and timely with all of your needs. Highly recommend you visit if you're looking!
While the physisian was great, his staff is an absolute nightmare. Than man the was checking me in claimed he never had me in the system, even though I received multiple texts confirming my appointment & insurance. He was extremeley unhelpful and rude during the whole process and I could hear him yelling at zocdoc while I was in the other room because his employee forgot to transfer it to their calander! The staff also had no idea how to even verify my insurance and it looked like a complete mess. A Dr like that should have a much more capable and friendly staff. They also couldnt figure out how to verify my insurance so my wait time was over an hour, which further delayed me getting back to work. For the Dr, he was very accomedating and made me feel very at ease during the visit. He was kind and understanding and helped sort out the issue I was having. I would reccomend him personally to anyone, just again, not his staff.
My appointment was originally set for 11AM, I was late to my appointmnent by 17 minutes to be detailed. Typically I am not late, but at rate occasions I am late give or take 5 minutes but no matter how late I was I have always been treated the same with respect. Being 17 minutes late, I walked into Dr Yacoub's , Ehab office no more than 5 minutes after arrival. My current condition has been something I struggled with my entire life since I was at a much young age. I can tell anyone with confidents that assuming the account of doctors I saw was 8 total for the specific concern that Dr Ehab Yacoub is the only doctor that woul listen to me, try to exolain thing to me and make me walk out of the appointment with knowledge and not a single thought of question. I would recommend
This doctor including another in the office are the most patient, never once have I felt rushed and most of all respectful. The availability is amazing, if your concerned with commute, they have you covered with other locations. I mean this, you will not regret this doctor
I am not pleased - i went through a horrible reaction to my medicine, asked to get my GABA levels and neurotransmitters tested, get to the doctor a week after my blood work to see he did a normal blood work on me (i.e cholesterol) - he , as a brain doctor, claims he never runs these type of tests....i find this abnormal
I came once, was in his office for 15 mins before he stopped asking questions and I understood that it is time to leave. I thought for the first meeting, it would take at least 1 hour for the dr. to get a grim of what is going on in the patient's life. All history that brought he/she to the mental issues. Nope. Patients come to him to get their med prescribed, I guess. He treats patients the same way. No listening. Just all about drugs. In and out quickly. That was my impression.
Had an amazing visit at this office.
Very nice, helpful staff and the NP is easy to talk to, yet professional.
Dr. Yacoub has bettered my life immensely! In my initial visit, I did see an intern before the doctor joined us for the rest of the evaluation and diagnosis, however, the intern was just as thoughtful and listened to my issues just as Dr. Yacoub does every time I have a check up. I've suffered for half of my life undiagnosed, this was my first psychiatric evaluation and I wish I had gone to someone sooner. Thank you!
Good listener, one of the best experiences I've had
honest, kind, interested, and insightful to discover systems.
I did not like the office nor the staff. I walked into what I did not find to be a psychologist office at all - there was a receptionist another patient talking to the receptionist who wasn't even looking in the patients direction speaking loudly and not listening to each other. So much for confide
Front of desk personal were aweful and unprofessional. There is an (what I assume) intern in charge of insurance who needs someone reviewing her work. My insurance was processed incorrectly, I was over charged for my visit, and not seen until over an hour after my appointment time. After a half hour I inquired if there was an issue with something and she said "I'm trying to figure out how much to charge you" very unsure. She was incorrect and there was no one else that would help assist.
Great guy, great staff
In 2016, when any kind of medical practice ONLY accepts cash payment for your co-pay/deductible, you probably don't want to be there. Who carries cash anymore, really? This is the type of thing you should warn people about ahead of time or at the very least inform them immediately when they arrive.
Great doctor. Easy to talk to. Was seen quickly and was a good experience.
They don't take credit cards for whatever reason (likely to cheapskate and avoid the processing fee), so you have to walk across the street to the Shell to use an ATM.
There are a number of physicians at this practice; you won't necessarily be treated by Dr. Yacoub. Everyone was friendly and I was in and out in a timely manner.
Best dr I have seen!!
