Qualifications and Experience
Dr. Saadat studied BioEngineering at UC Berkeley and earned his MD from UC San Francisco School of Medicine. During the course of his undergraduate and medical studies, Dr. Saadat was heavily involved in advanced musculoskeletal imaging research, focusing on high-field MRI technologies in developing a better understanding of arthritis involving the joints of the knee and the spine. After finishing medical school, Dr. Saadat completed his orthopaedic surgical training at Harvard. While at Harvard, he was part of the team who took care of the victims of the Boston marathon bombing. As a resident, he served as the editor of the Orthopaedic Journal at Harvard Medical School, and was chosen as chief resident at Massachusetts General Hospital
during his last year of training.
After finishing general orthopaedic training, Dr. Saadat then completed a spine surgery fellowship at the Emory Spine Center, widely regarded as one of the most prestigious spine fellowships in the United States. There, he gained further experience in the full spectrum of spine surgery, ranging from treatment of challenging spinal deformities to cutting-edge techniques such as motion-preserving cervical laminoplasty, as well as minimally-invasive surgery. Dr. Saadat’s expertise with the most advanced surgical techniques helps patients get back to the life they love more quickly.
