About Dr. Elliot Diamond

Dr. Elliot Diamond has been a podiatrist for more than thirty years, blending complementary medicine strategies with podiatric concepts. His interest in Oriental Medicine, acupuncture and pain management were initially catalyzed as a graduate student at Penn State University. “My initial interest in podiatry began in 1974 when I was a graduate student in the Department of Health and Physical Education. While I was working on my Master’s Thesis, a podiatric medicine academy hired me to research and publish a textbook on muscle testing and corrective medicine for the Lower Extremity titled: “A Podiatric Resource Guide for Preventative and Rehabilitative Foot and Leg Care”, Futura Publishing Company, 1976. Once this textbook was published, I decided to attend the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine (then named the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine). My interest in acupuncture stemmed from my Master’s Thesis on Transcendental Medicine/Yoga and its relationship to psychological components and drug attitude and behavior. I achieved an Oriental Doctor Degree and have integrated acupuncture in my podiatry practice since 1983.” Due to my extensive training in both the USA and Japan, my interest in pain and sports medicine has a universal approach. Non-surgical techniques for “hard to heal” podiatric conditions are emphasized in our practice, but when surgery is required, we'll work with you to find the best option. *ZocDoc does not always show all open appointments. This is a wellness center so much more holistic than medical. No gloves worn when treating so many bare feet andfacility has everyone being treated and walking barefoot in the main waiting room so germs and bacteria contagion like plantars warts can be exchanged. Even as a holistic practice they do process health insurance and ask you to check with your insurance co to see what Durable Medical Equipment will be covered by insurance and they give you a list including the billing codes. As a diabetic they didn't treat the sore on my foot or diagnose it but instead they hooked up foot to stimulator device and later taped both of my feet so tightly using so much tape (NOT kinesiology tape)that I had to remove it by mid-afternoon. I was supposed to leave it on for three days. Six patients in lobby visibly hooked up to electrode stims devices on bare feet and/or acupuncture needles so quite an open setting. No air conditioning made it less comfortable. Read yelp reviews and website before going here. They only accept cash or a check--no credit or debit cards and that's posted clearly.

I waited a really long time to see the doctor - and when I finally did he didn't even know whyI was there. I was sold a bunch of items that turned out to be a waste of money. The office is one large open area so there is little privacy to see the doctor. People are everywhere having different treatments. The receptionist at the front desk was incredibly rude and condescending. I won't be going back.

I was provided with a reassuring assessment of my diagnosis with a detailed explanation. In addition to a comfortable environment with a very accommodating staff ....I wish I would have scheduled sooner!

Saw him almost immediately together with two of his colleagues. We discussed my concerns and he immediately made the initial changes to my ankle support and then had his very competent staff do the rest.

Dr. Elliot is very pleasant and extremely knowledgeable. I go for the acupuncture which is a great source of temporary relief of my chronic pain. The staff is very friendly, the office is clean and there is always a good conversation.

My experience visiting Dr Diamond was probably one of the best experiences I’ve ever had, all told. It was a long appointment but not inefficient, and he really took the time to explain everything to me which makes it feel worth it. Not to mention, the office environment itself is so friendly and welcoming - truly unlike any doctors office experience I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!

I appreciate Dr. Diamond's expertise and trust his assessment of my issue but wanted more time to talk through what was going on and what I should expect from the treatment program he suggested. Actually he didn't even tell me what the plan was for treating my pain which feels a bit sketchy when I have to come weekly for treatments. It's a lot of money to not be certain we're on the same page.

Dr. Diamond is the best podiatrist in Philadelphia hands down. I have always had good results with his therapies/treatments and he taught me the healing powers of acupuncture.

The office was supper humid. Do not go here with any breathing problems. First they wanted you to sign off to pay out of pocket for PT (my insurance covers pt but not here). Before seeing the doctor they tried selling me orthopedics. Folks were all sitting in the open office doing “PT” ..... then the foot scan for orthodontics ...... Now 1 hour in the office and I can’t breath and fighting off sales pitches I just wanted to the podiatrist for diabetic foot care which never happened. I left before they brought out snake oils.

Dr. Diamond is the best. I recommend him to everyone who mentions any kind of foot or knee issues. I was experiencing knee pain while running. Working with Dr. Diamond, I have been pain free for the past 8 years and am still playing sports several times each week in my mid-30's.

Dr. Diamond and his staff are simply the best around. With his up-to-date diagnostic equipment and a wide range of treatment modalities, including a full range of complementary therapies, he is able to quickly zero in on the problem with precision accuracy, explain it in clear terms, and come up with effective treatment plans. After going to 5 docs before I found him, I am thrilled to have found someone who can treat my pain and get me running again. It is definitely worth the 2 hours of travel to get to his office!

I was seen rather quickly, however I went to the appointment for assistance with an ankle sprain and the whole appointment it seemed like they were more focused on my long term treatment of my gait, the way I walked, the way I plant my feet when I walk, etc. Which would be helpful for some people but I personally wasnt interested in the preventative care or getting down to the core of “what allowed my ankle to be sprained to begin with” I just wanted to figure out what was going on with my sprain. Nothing more, nothing less. I tried asking for assistance in buying some kind of ace bandage but the response from the Dr. was that “as you are a woman we like to focus more on invisible treatment so you arent walking around with a boot or bandage”. I think he is very knowledgeable but I felt like I was in an intense sales pitch presentation. Ultimately, I didnt recieve any kind of diagnoses or solution to my sprained ankle and now have more questions than answers.

I wish I found him sooner! He and his staff are extremely skilled with evaluating your feet to find out exactly what your needs are and then making a plan to restore functionality. In addition, he explained how and why my feet developed issues in the first place. For that alone, it was worth the trek down to center city. He is also compassionate, funny, easy to talk to. His staff is exceptional as well.

Awesome experience. A unique and welcoming office. Dr. Diamond is outstanding, easy to talk with and makes everything very understandable. I have high confidence in him and, for the first time, that my long-term foot pain can actually be fixed relatively simply and quickly. Never seen this kind of podiatric care anywhere else. So grateful to have found this practice.

After visiting two other podiatrists with foot pain associated with running, I finally found a place where my symptoms were taken seriously and someone spent more than 10 minutes with me. Dr. Diamond and his staff were just who I was looking for - compassionate people with time to listen to my concerns and actual solutions. After just one visit (of a planned four or so), my foot is feeling somewhat better and I'm excited for my next visit.

The office is whacky looking. And yet I learned more about my feet in one visit than many expensive visits to the fancy foot guys in town. For the first time in a long time I feel hopeful about getting my foot issue resolved.

It was creepy. Really. The decor was New-Age-grunge, the staff ranged from kinda checked out and just very clearly not wanting to be there to outright contentious and condescending (mostly to the older patients that were having trouble trying to navigate their see-we're-hip-ipad-check-in). They don't take credit cards for either in-office payment or follow-up invoices and push aggressively to add treatments that will not be covered by insurance that, again, must be paid in cash (or check). I'm really baffled by all the 5 star reviews. I went twice and felt dirty (physically and mentally) so I canceled the 3rd. Dr. Diamond has got a good list of bonafides and I know podiatry isn't quackery, but this office doesn't make a very strong case for it.

Wow!!!!! The best Dr visit I had ever!!! From the receptionist to the other Drs and assistants. Low key, professional, and 150% care. I brought my 85 year old Mother ( was a Nurse) who has been to so many other podiatrist to address her feet and never did they ever address her balance. She always loved to walk and is in incredibily great health but had been losing her Umph bc her feet hurt, which leads to her back aching and her balance was off. She has been unsteady for the past few years and would not really admit it. After our first visit we walked half mile to dinner and it was so liberating for her. Thank You all At Dr. Diamonds office and Dr. Diamond himself. He truly cares and takes the time to explain why this occuring. I could not believe the difference I saw in my Mother after one visit. I look forward to our next visit. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart.
