Dr. Eugene Orloff graduated from SUNY College of Optometry in 1999. He then completed his residency training at Northport VA Hospital with an emphasis on ocular disease and binocular vision dysfunction. Dr. Orloff started working as an Attending Optometrist at the Laser and Microsurgery Institute in 2000, where he diagnosed and treated ocular disease and glaucoma patients as well as co-managed pre- and post-LASIK, cataract and glaucoma surgery patients. In 2003, he founded Bronx Eye Associates in order to provide primary care optometry to a wide range of patients. A dedicated researcher, Dr. Orloff was the recipient of a prestigious National Institutes of Health Grant during his time at SUNY College of Optometry. In addition, he was awarded a Humanity Development Scholarship at SUNY College of Optometry, was named to the Dean’s List at Pace University and earned his diploma with honors at Moscow Medical College.

Dr. Orloff did not treat me however the optometrist that treated me was better than EXCELLENT, he took the time to explain every detail to me. He is a great addition to this office.

The doctor wasn’t here and the office couldn’t find my appointment even though it was verified. One staff member was a little short with me in the beginning but then she was pleasant. Not sure how I feel about this place.

This was my second visit with Dr. Orloff. I was in for a routine check up and also needed an exam to renew my driver's license. The doctor was very professional, polite and explains all procedures and exams clearly and ina manner that is easily understood. I will continue to visit Dr. Orloff for all of my future optical appointments. I had a 11:20am appointment which I showed up between 15 and 20 minutes early and was seen before 11:20am

The office was modern and bright; the staff were pleasant enough though they bickered with each other in front of the customers. There was a pretty lengthy wait even it didn't seem crowded. But the doctor (not Dr. Orloff, another physicianwho was young-ish with dark hair and a very casual manner) was extremely friendly and kind; he explained everything very clearly and didn't rush me through my appointment at all.

Wait was very long , three patients came after us and were treated first, although we went to our appointment Ontime We were the last to leave the clinic.

He prescribed some eye drops which are not covered by my insurance. I called to find out if there is an alliterative. I was on hold for 20 minutes to be time he is with a patient. I wasn't able tocall back until this evening only to be told he is not in until Saturday. So, I have no drops when he emphasized that I need to be using them.

Over all the doctor that gave the exam was rather friendly and patient she was rather informative. The receptionist didn't know what she was doing and has the nerve to have a attitude. The wait is extremely too long
