Patient reviews for Dr. Fernando Bobis
Very thoughtful and thorough. Fernando is very pleasant and despite the wait time my wife and I really appreciated the focus and care towards us.
Great Doctor , horrible wait time. However overall I would definitely recommend him!
The Dr is great. Very thorough. Unfortunately the wait is just too long. I had a 10:30 appt, I got there at 10 and wasn't seen until 2:30pm. Apparently this is an everyday occurrence. Definitely need to take a full day off to come see him. Once you do see him, he is great.
Dr Bobis is incredible and I have never before received the kind of care that he provides. He is thorough, listens to you and goes above and beyond to help. I am a regular patient of his, and only come back because he demonstrates so much professionalism and empathy. The wait times here are awful. I’ve waited between 1.5 hours to 4 hours to be seen. There have been times that I’ve had to walk out because the wait is so ridiculous, even after booking my appointments through ZocDoc. I think there’s an unspoken rule of walk-ins, so that even if you book the first appointment of the day, the waiting room is already packed. It’s such a shame and would’ve been much better if they were transparent about appointments and wait times. If you come here, plan to take the day off from work.
Dr Bobis is incredibly thoughtful and thorough. My experience is that he treats his patients with empathy, treating each one of us as people, not just patients. The wait times can be trying, but it is also a direct result of his willingness to put real human interaction ahead of inhumane efficiency models into his practice.
Doctor was very thorough took his time and went over everything. Gave tips on how to improve your health. Would recommend to everyone
Honestly, the wait time was not his fault, the client before me definitely gave him a tough time, but it was definitely worth the wait to see him. He is great at what he does, makes you feel welcome, and easy to talk to. Very clear and concise, and a strong recommendation for anyone looking for a primary care physician.
Waited a long time but it was completely worth it!
He was amazing....super knowledgeable ..super nice.. .. it took long to see him but it was worth it.. he was awesome !!
He really needs a new office, it’s a very tight apartment, people sat almost on top of you. Did not feel comfortable there at all.
Very nice staff. Answered all my questions and concerns.
He was great, very attentive and great bedside manners.
Loved it! Dr. Bobis was very thorough, as it was my first visit, and made sure I got all that I needed!
I had a great experience as a new patient! Dr. Bobis spent nearly 45 minutes taking a full history and answered all my questions. The office staff were also very nice. The only downside was that I did have to wait but only for about 15 minutes or so. Overall, I would definitely recommend a friend to Dr. Bobis.
Dr. Bobis has all the expected knowledge of any modern physician. What sets him apart is kindness. Dr. Bobis actually pays attention to the word "care" in healthcare. He explains everything thoroughly and empathizes with whatever issues you may be having. This is one of those rare doctors.
He was great but the wait time was 3 hrs
The staff is really nice and pleasant but no one in this office takes appointment times seriously. No one. They will tell you you’re next and then 20-30 more minutes will go by. Sometimes they even say they called you and you must’ve missed it (which is absurd because the waiting room is quite small). Again, Dr. Bobis is really nice and the staff are also friendly but waiting an hour just to get my blood pressure taken by a nurse and then another hour just to see the doctor is insane—especially considering I only came to get a prescription refill and the test results from my last appointment. I had to rearrange my entire day for this one appointment and this happens all the time with them. It’s shameful.
Dr. Bobis takes his time with every patient. Listen and addresses questions and concerns. Extremely professional. Definitely worth the wait. Highly recommend.
Dr. Bobis took his time asking questions and listening but my appointment was at 10 am, i got there 30 minutes earlier and i did not see the doctor until 11:30am.
Phenomenally efficient & caring. I’ve never seen anything like it in my 34 years on earth.
I know there are long waits but hes worth the wait. Hes a great Dr. And takes the time to hear you out. I recommend him to anyone who wants a Dr. Who cares and listens.
Great MD, really takes the time to help.
Dr.Bobis is a great doctor but the wait time is really excruciating. I has to wait over 2 hrs just to be seen and this was not a walk-in. Also the medical assistants in the office like to gossip and chit chat about patients which is really unpleasant and an eyesore.
The receptionist staff is very friendly and Dr. Fernando is very down to earth and great to talk to. Great decision for a primary care!
Professional, just the wait time is pretty long but the service is worth it.
clear, concise, friendly
Really really really loved my first visit to this doctor, because of my time with him. But everything else was a nightmare, the wait was RIDICULOUS & by the time I did get seen the nurse who drew the blood was already gone. So I did not get the chance to have any testing or blood work done after waiting over 4 hours... but he’s great at what he does, he’s smart & very caring and involved. I will be returning, will just make sure I get the earliest appointment possible to avoid any other long waiting time.
He’s excellent except the wait is too long but without a doubt worth the wait
I traveled all the way from Brooklyn for Dr. Bobis. He was both my fathers, and my doctor for a little over 3years in a Brooklyn location. I absolutely love him! He really shows that he genuinely cares about your health, and remembers you too! He takes his time with you which is very rare to find in doctors now. Expect to wait - a long time, but totally worth it.
I left a previous review for Dr. Bobis which I wish I could delete now. I have seen him three times since the first appointment (not all scheduled through Zocdoc). The second time I went to his office, I discovered that I hadn't even seen him the first time. I was sent in to see a different doctor and no one seemed to notice! The second time, and two subsequent times, I have had to wait 3-4 hours each time. Dr. Bobis told me that the wait is so long because he spends a lot of time with his patients. Spending a lot of time with your patients is laudable but it doesn't explain why he schedules so many people. He complained to me that Zocdoc puts appointments every 15 minutes, but I can't imagine there's not a way to control that. After my last visit two days ago, I have spent a half a day sitting in his waiting room. I won't be returning. Last time I went, I spent some of the waiting time searching this site for a new primary care physician. I think he's a good doctor. He's very direct and he answers questions. He seems to care about his work. But scheduling more people than he can see is an insult. He either doesn't care about making the site work for his patients or he doesn't want to slow the money coming in. It doesn't really matter to me which it is, I'm done waiting.
Excellent PCP. He really loves what he does and is extraordinarily knowledgeable. The wait is tough, I won't lie, and is enough to make one thing about not coming back
Very easy to talk to and he knows what he is talking about. You can tell he cares about his patients.
Dr. Bobis is very knowledgeable and has a professional bedside manner.
Excellent Dr but the wait time is awful. My last visit I waited more than 4 hours
DR. Bobbys is extremely nice and professional loved him. BUT the office is horrible, I waited over 3 hours to be seen even though I had and appointment. I know is not the doctors fault but the management of this office is horrible. They allow walk ins with no regards for appointments.
Very very nice and thorough with his patients. Also, makes sure he covers all services and takes his time with his patients. Highly, recommend
no one cares
He is an awesome doctor who communicates well and thoroughly answers any questions. The only problem is the long wait... appointment times don’t really seem to matter, I hope they can improve here!
EXTRA long wait times but it’s obvious that’s because Dr. Bobis takes his time and really cares about his patients and I certainly can’t fault him for that. He’s a great doctor and his staff are friendly and kind. I hope they get their booking in order (they were having trouble with double bookings in the system) but I’ll continue to go because everyone’s so nice and thorough.
Very helpful and knowledgeable.
Doctor was great and asked lots of questions. Just wish the wait wasn't so bad. Hope things are better next time around.
The front desk staff and provider were very kind and thorough. However, the wait was extensive. The service delivery was really worth it though!
Excellent doctor and very thorough. He takes his time with you and your concerns.
Dr. Bobis is an amzing doctor. He takes his time and he cares so much about your health. He will be my primary doctor from now on!! Amazing!!!
I like him hes very good on touching all bases. The waiting time is long but hes a good Dr. So i dont mind the wait.
Dr. Bobis was a good doctor, but the office was HORRID. I had a 10 AM appointment and I wasn't seen until 12 PM. I continually asked the front desk when I was going to be seen and what was going on, but it wasn't until I told them that I was leaving that they actually brought me in to see the doctor. It was honestly UNACCEPTABLE conduct. Too bad that a good doctor like Dr. Bobis works in an office that is so completely mismanaged like the one I went into today. I am so totally upset by the situation.
I wait about two and a half hours before I was seen and I went for severe allergies and got sent home with medicine I already had. It defeated the point in me going I think. However, if you have the time to wait the staff had great bedside manor and the nurse practitioner I saw was very knowledgeable and friendly.
Felt very professional and trustworthy
