So when I make an appt. I always look at the credentials a doctor may have , training, work experience, etc. Dr Sanchez - was an A+++, his training record is top tier and impressive. That is the first step that attracted me to the practice. The office from the start was very presentable and enjoyable, the music was not too load and not too soft. The staff was super sweet and very informative and provided me water or seltzer water. My only real complaint is that we had to go up a set of stairs to go to the examination rooms, but other than that I have no complaints. I will expand below - 1) How easy was it to schedule an appointment? Zoc Doc was awesome and easy. 2) Was it was easy to get in touch with the doctor by phone? I did follow up on some medications, and headed Dr Sanchez's advice - "when you call ask directly fro me DR SANCHEZ" , he actually answered the call and we resolved the issue. 3) Was the doctor on time for your appointment? He was already in the office , and on time and dedicated the full time to explain my condition - and all the treatment options - including what could happen with no treatment . 4) What type of bedside manner did the doctor have? He was not only good, he was spectacular- he took the time to draw a diagram of the skin, explain how my condition looks under the skin, and how the treatments affect it. 5) What did you like about the overall experience? His time and passion towards me, how he explained all the condition and the treatment options in detail. He listens without prejudice and really seemed to understands what being a patient is. He explained everything with both medical terminology and simplified it for me. He also used analogies to the skin - "cake- frosting and flour" for me to understand the skin has two main portions. 6) Is there anything the doctor could have improved upon? So far it is the BEST dermatology visit I have ever been too. By far the best, doctor I have seen. Time, empathy, compassion , dedication to me as his patient. 7) Would you recommend the doctor to a friend or family member? Yes, funny thing was that he actually told me - " if you were my sister I would give you the same thorough explanation" . He cuts no corners and achieved my goal - diagnosis of my condition and treatment and better understanding of my condition. Disclaimer- I have seen more than 10 dermatologists in several states, done my checks and checked their training. He is by far the best, compassion -check, understanding and grasp of the material and what was being said - check. A++++++
I have been a patient of your practice for many years and have recommendated my neighbors of the Northside and Southside of Williamsburg, family members, and friends to your location in Brooklyn. I had the pleasure of meeting Dr.Buka once to address my psoriasis, when it at it worse and you were very helpful and kind to my concerns; as you know psoriasis can cause somewhat embarrassing feeling in patients of any age . The last dermatologist I saw in July( I believe) Christoper was excellent and compassionate. I never had problem with none of your staff. However, after this interaction with Dr.Sanchez it makes me very upset and uneasy with the type of treatment I received that day, especially in my time of sickness. Please address and advise this complainant accordingly, however due to my unkind experience with Dr. Sanchez. I suspect I have not been the only patient of yours that received such unprofessional and poor consideration/care by one of your dermatologist despite my age, cultural background or/and social economically status, every patient should be treated with respect and dignity not judge by a professional in the medical field. DISCLAIMER: A rep for doctor did reach out to me after I file a official complaint with HR about my visit but I still feel this Doctor Sanchez is not professional and such not be affiliate with such a decent practice
Pleasant and Professional
Very welcoming and professional and establishes a patient and doctor connection right away. Very comfortable environment.
Dr. Sanchez did a thorough check and answered my questions. However, he was condescending when I mentioned concerns (including concerns that other dermatologists have brought up to me). He literally said "you must have seen a bad doctor." Generally I am less than satisfied with the Bobby Buka practice. I appreciate that they are making it simple and friendly to access care, but at times they go overboard. Receiving a text "from" Dr. Bobby Buka that says "C U soon!" does not inspire confidence. I want a doctor, not a friend. Additionally, unless you SPECIFICALLY ask to see a doctor for your checkup, you will not. This is my fourth time there and the first time I was seen by a doctor (because I asked to). I understand that the others are medical professionals in other ways but the level of care is just not the same. I had to have a mole removed at this practice and they did it wrong (confirmed by Dr. Sanchez at this visit), leaving a really stupid-looking scar. The locations are convenient, so if you decide to go with this practice just make sure you ask to see a doctor.
Dr Sanchez is very professional, he may mother feel very comfortable and secure. He took care of my mother's skin disorder. He very knowledgeable in his profession.
I came to Dr. Sanchez for a basic look over having not had one in a bit, just to make sure if anything was out of place. I felt like a cow in a CAFO. He was beyond detached, surveyed me like a potential steak and couldn't wait to be done with me, and move on. I also think the office where he resides needs a new coat of paint or 5, it's rather skingy looking.
Great experience took me same day appointment I was in and out would recommend!
In the past, I've had really good visits, but I did not enjoy this visit at all - it was a simple follow up from a procedure two weeks ago, and I waited for 45 minutes after being told that I wasn't on the schedule, though I wouldn't have showed up for something that I didn't have, and Dr. Sanchez was just kind of abrupt and not really that helpful nor insightful.
Dr. Sanchez was great .He took his time to explain what he was going to do.In ten minutes he was done. I will return.
45 minute wait with no apology. Disinterested, unfriendly wait staff. Had to call 3 times to get prescriptions sent over to pharmacy. Actual visit was serviceable, but I wouldn't recommend.
I waited for over an hour before receiving a completely canned and impersonal consultation which lacked any thoroughness.
It was a bit too quick. I understand that there are many patients to be seen. However, patients need at least 10 minutes to be able to ask questions. Didnt feel 100 percent confident and will schedule another appt with another doctor to feel better.
He is very friendly and patiently answered all of my questions.
Provided sound advice, however required waiting over an hour with my two year old. Better communication when the office is running behind schedule is critical, especially woth children.
I couldnt be seen for the second time in a month because my GP is incompetent and writes incorrect referrals.
My visit with Dr. Sanchez was quick and to the point. Which is what i like in a visit to a medical office. He moved immediately to get a biopsy of lesion on my lip and reassured me that he would have results for me at my next visit. Very professional and at the same time kept me at ease with his wit. And same can be said for the nurses who aided him in my care.
Dr. Sanchez is great , he is very kind and professional.
Very quick and efficient. Was in and out in 30 minutes for a wart removal. Highly recommend!
The Doctor was very kind and professional. The receptionist was very helpful and polite. Great place
He was unhelpful and dismissive and saw me for less than a minute. I will never be going back.
Had a pleasant conversation and bedside manner. Explained what he was doing and his recommendations. He didn't dote on me, but I felt like he spend the time needed to cover my appointment.
It took an hour from my appointment time to the time I was actually seen by the doctor. This wait time was completely unacceptable and I had received no updates from anyone while waiting in the room as to why, or how much longer I would be waiting. The doctor however, was fantastic. He was very friendly, very knowledgeable and took all the time I wanted to address my issues, educate and answer all of my questions. Based upon my personal experience with Dr. Sanchez, I would highly recommend him, in the hopes that my wait experience is not the norm here.
It was fine. He seems nice, but it felt like he was rushing through my appointment (he was seeing three other patients at the same time) and didn't give me a chance to gather my thoughts and properly ask questions, nor did he ask if I had any questions. Total time with him was about 6 minutes. The assistant with him, Ashley, didn't really know what she was doing and used "I think..." in more than a few occasions . In a medical situation, I want to hear concrete information rather than waste both our time with conjectures.
Love it he's was very nice. I am very happy with him.
Beautiful office! Great doctor. Short wait time. Will definitely be back
I was the first appointment of the day and he was 45 minutes late. He then proceeded to be extremely rude and condescending. Would DEFINITELY not recommend.
He is very professional, but kind of abrupt. I was not sure if he was in a hurry or if my presence was not to his liking. He seemed very knowledgeable, yet i felt like i was being rushed
Love him!!! He's amazing. I was literally debating even giving him a rating because I don't want more people to see him because I love him so much. Best derm ever
Dr. Sanchez was great, he answered every question I had and was very detailed in the explanations. He had a great sense of humor which made me feel comfortable during my visit. Highly recommend!
The staff is very friendly and efficient. I was taken right in after I filled out the paperwork. My concerns were taken seriously and proper treatment was given. I have booked a follow up and look forward to seeing Dr. Sanchez and team for my skin care needs regularly.
He was extremely professional and helpful. Very to the point and efficient. the wait in the lobby was roughly 25 minutes but once I was in the room he immediately came in and addressed all concerns I had, the efficiency at this stage more than offset the wait time in the lobby and I would highly recommend him.
Amazing! Funny and helpful!
He was very nice. I did not like that the establishment was not very clean and the staff were yelling throughout the halls. The wait time was long but he was very nice and helpful.
My visit with Dr. Fitzgeraldo was great, he was very professional and down to earth.
Doctor rushed through the screening. During the screening, doctor left the door 1/3 of the way open while I was in gown allowing other staff (receptionist, other doctors, etc) to interrupt my time with the doctor asking questions about previous patients, prescriptions, etc. While i spent less than 15 minutes in the waiting room, I waited 20 minutes in the doctor's room in a gown waiting to be attended to. In the end the doctor prescribed me medication that was not covered by insurance which I didn't find out until I got to the pharmacy. I will most certainly not recommend this doctor to anyone, more so because I didn't feel the doctor sincerely cared for first-time patients.
He was a very pleasant and great doctor along with his medical assistant! They made my 6 yr old feel comfortable and secure. I absolutely love this place. I will be returning when needed.
It was great. He understood my concern and handled it .
Very long wait times.. Doc only spent 1 minute total with me
The doctor I saw prescribed me me an acne prescription that I have already been on and I even told him it didn't work at all and still prescribed it to me. I'm also currently on a wash and a topical gel that is very strong but still doesn't work that well and wanted something a little better. Instead he prescribed me a wash that was 3 times less as strong as the one I'm using and instead of something stronger than the topical gel I am using (tazorac) they perscibed me a light lotion. I'm disappointed because how is the lighter stuff going to work if the stronger stuff I have been using for a while doesn't even work?
He was extremely personable and made me feel very comfortable. He was great.
I was very pleased with his thorough and efficient examination. I have already referred him to two people within 12 hours of my visit.
Very short with me. Not very keen on privacy
He is charismatic, and he treated my condition efficiently.
