Very friendly and professional!! Able to communicate in other languages well !!
The first thing Dr. Pua did was ask me to pay, before she even asked why i was there in the first place. Never in my life have I had to hand over money to the head dr while in the examining room! Not profession and super uncomfortable. I was only there because for some eye drops and she was the only dr i could find on such short notice. She went through the standard questions/ medical history, but then started asking if something happened to me right now, would i want to be kept alive by machines! This all happened before she even asked WHY i was even there in the first place. Thats all!! Then she gave me a lecture about living life as a "vegetable" and how hard that kind of life is on your family, etc. Don't think i need to say anymore. Definitely would not recommend and would never go back!
my grandfather was my first general practitioner (that's what they called them back then), and I haven't felt this good about a doctor since. I came in for a pre-surgery check, a stressful time, and Dr. Pua was informative, funny, and kind. The only down side is my broken collarbone hurts when I laugh.
Love Dr Pua! Very personable and knowledgeable. Hard combination to come by. She takes her time to explain things to you and is friendly and easy to talk to. Came in for a bad sore throat but already scheduled my yearly physical with her. I was apprehensive about finding a new pcp after moving here a few months ago, but I'm glad I was so lucky on my first try.
Extremely knowledgable and thorough. Outstanding physician and personal care
Very attentive, and personable. Planning on returning for check up. Would recommend this doctor.
Dr. Pua saw me right away, and she carefully listened to my symptoms. She examined me and afterwards took the time to explain what she thought was going on and why she prescribed certain medication. She also asked me to follow up with her and responded very quickly.
She was informative, compassionate, and kind.
She is not like any other primary doctors. First of all, you are receiving the best care through NYU. Also she actually cares for the patient; I left prescription on her desk, she ran down the stairs to meet me on the ground floor to hand me it. She is thorough, detailed and caring. Recommended!
She was professional, helpful and gave me great advice to improve my health through better lifestyle choices.
Dr. Pua is wonderful. She was very informative, friendly, and thorough with my visit. I think I finally found a good primary care doctor in New York!
Very professional and answers all the questions you have.
Dr. Pua is innovative- she has no administrative help so she knows your insurance etc. Amazingly, she has zero wait-time and is in no rush to see other patients. She takes less patients so she can spend more time with each one. Love her thinking!
Excellent doctor and I highly recommend her!
She was wonderful. I look forward to seeing her again. She had such great advice for me. Thank you Dr. Pau!
Im new to NYC, and I wanted to get an appointememnt quick. I was lucky and got Dr. Pua. I red some reviews, and was skeptical, but she was the complete opposite from those posts. She was nice, attentive, and at least to me gave me the impression that she really cares about people. Im a smoker, and she was adamant that I quit. She talked to me about smoking cessation aids, and I am even trying the regime now. So far so good. Honestly I couldn't recommend her enough.
She was rude, indifferent, and a little daft. Horrifying experience.
I don't have a GP doc. Not sure if i'll go back to her.
She asked me questions that I'd already answered repeatedly and never seemed to be listening to the answer, which lead to her putting my test swab in the wrong bag for the wrong lab. Before asking me any real questions about myself she told me about a malpractice lawsuit that a colleague she recommends was fighting and then about a negative review she'd received over a co pay dispute. I came in for my throat and she never looked at it besides a very distanced throat swab (the one that was put in the wrong bag) and then when I asked about it she said its not good to have the throat open for too long (whatever that means?) this was a truly terrible tonedeaf doctors appointment, which always adds insult to injury.
She is a kind person, but did not apologize for seeing me 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. She also did not appear to be as attentive, sharp, or focused as I'd like a PCP to be. During my visit, she answer her cell when it rang to talk to another patient on the phone. I will not be returning.
Compassionate and offered referrals for specialists
Very friendly and professional. I highly recommend her!
i have serious doctor phobia, but she is one of the best so far. she does not rush you, instead she really wants to understand everything when you are her patient, which is pretty rare these days. i will definitely see her again
I am so glad I found her. She is right to the point, and knows what she is talking about.
Concerned more about collecting copays than the patient. After a week went by with an infection, I had to call the lab myself to get the results sent over. Then I was told I would have to come into the office for a visit simply to get my test results as I was informed the Dr. wouldn't discuss them over the phone. Now weeks later after finding another doctor I have received a bill in the mail for 2 copays that I payed for at my visits. Had to jump through hoops to accomplish anything with this office and just when I thought it was all over I am still paying for it...
Very knowledgeable and great doctor.
Very friendly, warm, and personable.
Very helpful and truly cares about patient! Also, the receptionist is very helpful and thorough. Really answers all questions about payments / future appointments etc. Would definitely come back.
Dr Pua is very professional and gives great advice
Very intelligent and put me at ease
Office was small, which I don't mind, but the smallness made it very awkward. Dr. was awkward and judgmental.
Dr. Pua took her time with me and was very informative. Would defintely recommend
very nice and very informative, I will defintley return
Very informative and pleasant!
Excellent. Humane and straight to the point.
Very nice, great doctor. Answered all the questions I had. Would recommend her to friends.
I was a walk-in. Dr. Pua expressed a genuine concern for me and was thoughtful and took time to understand my needs. She was clearly knowledgeable during diagnosis. Her staff was friendly and helpful.
