I love the office, which is very bright and cheerful, as well as the staff, who were very friendly and professional. My wait time wasn't too long and Dr. Fishman has a great personality and answered all my questions. He is very thorough!
Dr. Fishman's office and his office staff are simply great.! They are all attentive and friendly. I recommend Dr. Fishman if you require a quality experience at the eye doctor.
The staff was pleasant and the office was very comfortable. My only issue was that the wait was a bit long.
Very professional! :)
This office is SCAM!! It's a "vision center" so has both an eye doctors office and optical. I went to Dr. Fishman's office to get an eye exam and prescription for contact lenses. I was called to the back and saw 3 Techs/Medical Assistants before seeing the doctor. They did what seemed to be usual eye exams as I've done these many times before at other facilities. I found it weird that not ONE person asked the reason for my visit (not even the doctor himself) but I assumed that this was because they saw the reason for my visit on ZocDoc. Once the doctor came in the room he took a look at my eyes and told me to go to the optical in the office and come back in six months. At this point I was confused because he didn't mention anything about my contact prescription and since he didn't bother asking the reason why I was there, I decided to volunteer the information and tell him that I'm there for contact lenses. He told me "they'll take care of that at the optical." When I walked over to the optical the young lady told me the price of purchasing contact lenses if I purchase them there and that if I wanted a prescription to get my lenses outside of the office, the prescription would cost me also. I have worked in healthcare for almost 12 years and currently manage a very successful medical practice and have never heard of a doctor charging to write a prescription. I had already paid my copay and my insurance covered the office visit, so I didn't understand why I had to pay extra for a prescription??! It was just absurd. Seems like a huge scam to me and like they are double billing patients. They're basically charging patients for 2 visits on the same day. If that was the case, patients should be told this UP FRONT so that they can make an informed decision prior to getting an eye exam because I have no idea what the doctor and his techs even tested me for. I could've just gone to lens crafters for all of this. They should direct patients to the optical if there are two separate charges. My visit to this office was pointless. I will investigate further and file a complaint against them. What they are doing is not right!
If you could see the doctor during the week, I was told the wait time is not so long.
It was professional
it seems like all this man wants to do is sell eyeglasses. once he found out that that wasn't what I was therefore and that I just needed someone to give my son a thorough eye examination he basically dismissed me and my son didn't get the help that he needed.
I thought Dr. Fishman was very personable and thorough. He explained his procedures clearly and answered all questions I had. Overall, it was a pleasant visit.
Felt like he just disregarded my issues gave me eye drops and sent me on my way. He did not explain why I might be feeling any of my symptom.
This was a great experience. No one likes going to the doctor however it was fast and easy. Staff is nice and very professional!!
It was grest
I am 9 years old and I was very nervous but I liked the doctor and the exam didn't hurt and he said j have very good vision
The office is clean the staff is professional and Dr Fishnan is thorough and kind.
The visit was quick prompt and straight to the point. He was able to see me and tell me what was going on and referred me to the specialist who could help right away.
He was a sweet heart, very knowledgable . Kid friendly!! Im going back to see him myself.
My experience overall was a great one. The techs and med assistance were all fairly young. Two beautiful techs started having a convo about ahving drinks and thoting in city island. I was shocked and pleased how open they were. I found it to be a family atmosphere. Even though this was my first time here I felt like a part of the family. Everyone was warm and welcoming. Best experience at a doctor I ever had.
There was a bit of a wait but the overall visit was good, will return.
Loved my experience with Dr. Fishman. He was very attentive to my concerns and his staff was warm and friendly. He was highly recommended to me by my physician and I can't thank him enough.
The most horrible experience in my life. The office had more than 35 patientes not enough chairs to seat. The office attendant all were disrespecful. I will never ever recomend this professional neither this office. Evidently they overbooked with regular patientes but the doczoc has no priority at all. This office is a bad joke. Never neverever come here.
He was patient and very professional.
Omg. I would recommend them to everyone. Very professional and curtous team
Great care and very nice.
The doctor is professional, knowledgable and helps me to resolve my iesue
Dr. Fishman was very professional. Would definitely recommend him to others :)
Dr. Fishman was worth the wait. His staff are friendly, professional, and knowledgable. He similarly was quite friendly, highly competent, and did a great job with the examination and explaination of what to do. I would definitely recommend him.
I would like to thank Dr. Gary Fishman and his staff for wonderful treatment they provided for me and my family. The doctor is very kind and knowledgeable. The staff is well trained and quick to get things done. The office is equipped with latest technology. I had a wonderful experience and highly recommend Dr. Fishman.
I waited for about 40 minutes, and the doctor saw me for about 3. He didn't say much and wasn't very courteous or friendly. I would not go to this office again.
First time visit to your office, everyone was very friendly and took care of me right away. I would recommend Dr. Fishman.
Very professional staff. Clean and comfortable area. Dr. Fishman has a very pleasant and proficient attitude.
A bit rushed, very busy location. Probably won't go back.
Staff was pleasant ,professional and polite. Assistants did 95%of the information intake and diagnostic procedures. The doctor spent 3-6 minutes in personal contact .he spent the remaining few minutes in the exam room reading the computer screen and directing the assistants the next procedure prior to walking out of the room 2xs . He initially entered his operatory saying his last name as he sat down in front of his computer without ever turning to face me. It felt as though I was on an assembly factory line. When I was dismissed he did look towards me enquiring if I was content with my current eyeglasses.Dr Fishman said goodbye by telling me to make another appointment for this November.
Very professional, quick.
He is so professional , really good ....thanks
Very professional and calm demeanor. I was very satisfied.
Didn't spend much time with the actual doctor. Techs were unorganized, chatty and very unprofessional. It was like they were having a big party in there. Doctor wasn't very informative as everything was a big rush but I waited for so long after I was seen to get further testing. Total time with dr 10 min, total time in office 2 hours and 3 min. Would not recommend.
Courteous and attentive.
Very professional, personnel were very polite and caring.
I received a proper treatment just like I expected. My medical needs were met efficiently. I am happy and satisfied with my visit there. No problem.
The doctor was very professional and very nice. Answered my questions and helped with my anxiety. Very nice staff as well.
I find Dr. Fishman to be professional, asked questions regarding my health and family history. I find his staff to be professional also. I would recommend Gary Fishman to friends and associates.
My Brother and I liked it. It was for my 8 year old nephew. We had a good visit. We only wish he was locate closer to us.
His assistants brought me through all of the pre-tests using the machines. The actual time spent with the doctor was less than 5 min. He was not approachable and kinda rushed the appointment. His assistants spoke with me more than the doctor did. I didn't even bother to book a follow up which I needed to. I found another doctor instead.
I was surprised at the efficiency of the office. I was satisfied. I just found my new ophthalmologist.
The office was well lit and cheerful. The staff was friendly and informative. The wait time was fast. The doctor was wonderful as well. This was an overall awesome experience. I would highly recommend this doctor.
The wait time is a killer. The wait room was loud and just seemed too busy . Dr Fishman however is efficient .
It was a nice experience. Quick and easy
The doctor was very easy to deal with and friendly. He was concerned about what I wanted and my input.
Had a good experience!! My children and I were finally given medicine that worked. Feeling much better!! Have already told other friends to go.
Love the staff,,, They were so helpful. Really nice people and Dr Fishman is (as my 6 year old great nephew would say) a HOTTIE POTATIE.. LOL... Have a great Day...See u in December!
It was very good
Best experience with a doctor I ever had. Thorough in examination, good explanation and excellent experience at the optical shop. Highly recommend this professional office.
Amazing, caring doctor. Has tremendous knowledge of glaucoma. Very thorough, reviewed my history and evaluated my condition from multiple angles. His small office is fully electronic. His staff is courteous and highly trained. Very personal attention was given. I will be coming back and bringing my mom along. Such a gem of a find in the Bronx!
very professional staff, full service office with exam and glassware. doctor was patient and explained things thoroughly
He did pretty much nothing. It was the other staff members that did majority of the work. However, most of them were too busy talking about their weekend or the pictures of themselves on FB. I snapped like 20 pics of his employees just playing around the office. You will have to do your paperwork more than once because they don't have the Zoc doc software to download the paperwork. and be ready to wait because they over book. I'm not saying it horrible, but i was very unorganized and i didn't feel a connection with the Dr. at all.
Awesome. Very satisfied
The staff was very frienfly
It was aa decent visit but I felt kind of like they were rushing me...I dont enjoy being rushed..I think they were trying to go to lunch so I guess I under stand .
Very professional. Made me feel very comfort .has a tremendous knowledge of glaucoma. Highly recommend
The environment was exceptional the employees was polite and professional . I was seen and sent on my way within and hour
It was good.
I was happy with the doctor however my double vision is apparently a neurological problem. I hope it gets remedied.
I came to see Dr. Fishman after seeing 2 other doctors. Noone gave me such amazing explanation and reassurance as he did. He got another doctor involved, scheduled an appointment for me personally and preauthorized medication with my insurance. I have never met a more caring, more thorough doctor. His office is equipped with latest technology, his staff is highly trained, friendly and the office runs in a very expedient manner.
It was a good experience. The workers there were very nice and helpful and Dr. Fishman was very professional.
Not very personable and did not tell me why my eye was blurry. They do have very good technology. Staff was great!
Outstanding and very thorough in examination and professional. I highly recommend
fast and good.
The staff was extremely expedient.
I thought Dr. Fishman was personable and professional. He asked questions and made good suggestions...I appreciated his honesty with his findings. He requested that NOT only the patient (my mom) return for follow up, but that I as her daughter get tested as a preventative or early diagnosis for what ails my mom. THANK YOU Dr. Fishman and staff....
Not very personable and very short (as far as explanation, cause, effect, etc). However, the staff were very kind and thorough.
Great Doctor, but wait times are horrible. :)
He is great, very knowledgeable, professional and quick to address your problem. The office staff are equally courteous and professional
I went to a Doctor in Manhattan and he told I had cataract. I went for a second opinion and was treated for a real bad eye infection. After using the drops, for a day my eyesight improve. The only thing was the stuff (or I should say two female wkers) was talking about a office issue while I was in the chair wait for the Doctor. That should've been done in the back or after hrs.
Not personable but thorough
Very polite well-mannered doctor, the staff was excellent. Currently I don’t live in the Bronx so I no longer see this doctor, but if I ever move back I will return to his office. Highly recommend him and his practice.
