Welcome! My practice is exclusively for the unique psychotherapy needs of women. You can access their profiles by clicking on the practice page for Balanced Awakening PC. I take a compassionate and direct stance as a therapist accompanying you on your healing journey. Often times people come to therapy when their strategies for handling the "tough stuff" in life are no longer working or have unwanted side effects. I'm less interested in your diagnosis - if one applies - than I am in how what you are experiencing impacts the things in life that are important to you. We can work together to assess your strategies for managing thoughts and emotions - many that have been patterns since childhood - and take inventory of what works and what doesn't. I can help you learn mindfulness and acceptance based skills to better manage thoughts and emotions in order to live in a more fulfilling way. I specialize in integrated mindfulness and acceptance based psychotherapies that are guided by your values. These include utilizing evidence based psychotherapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP). I will send you a confirmation email upon booking an appointment which outlines my office policies, office information, and an opportunity to verify your insurance prior to your session. *Please note my missed session policy. If you need to cancel an appointment, please cancel at least 24 hours prior to your appointment time to avoid the missed session fee.*
