Patient reviews for Dr. Henry Merola
My initial visit with Dr. Merola was very good. He’s quite knowledgeable and listened very carefully to me in order to provide a treatment plan.
Very patient listener and knowledgeable with regards with care.
Long wait time, but very friendly and professional doctor.
2+ hr wait is simply inexcusable.
Dr. Merola is a great doctor, he gives you all the facts and gets right down to business. I can appreciate that as a busy guy that works 60 plus hours. He’s very approachable and easygoing. I will continue to see Dr. Merola in the future.
The waiting time in this office is inexcusable
Hes AWESOME! Knowledgeable, sincere and very kind.
Amazing doctor, bloody grest care. Really knows my problems and is willing to work with me to solve them. My only issue is the long wait times, which are an intermittent problem that I know dr. Merola is very concerned about and is acting on.
It was my first appointment today and I'm glad I chose him
Would not recommend this doctor to anyone. Waited about an extra hour after my scheduled appointment to see the doctor, because he was running behind on appointments. Reached out after my checkup multiple times trying to get help to find a specialized therapist but didn’t even get a message back. Very unprofessional. Don’t recommend at all.
Everyone was really sweet and kind.
Dr. Merola is an excellent doctor, who's vastly knowledgeable and offers some great care - he really gets to know you, especially over time. The only real issue is keeping appointments on schedule. I can't figure out quite why, but for the last year or so, waiting times seem be pretty long.
Wait times are always long—most appointments don’t start on time, but Dr. Merola makes up for it withy his bedside manner and attitude.
Dr. Merola truly cares about his patients . He always goes above and beyond while spending more than the 10 minutes like most traditional doctors do. He goes over you’re symptoms and explains things throughly. The wait time is longer than expected, but the service and attention you get from Dr. Merola is hard to find when you are managing you own care. Having patience goes a long way as you walk out being well informed and educated. It’s very rare to find someone as passionate and professional such as Dr. Merola. He’s a great primary care and always looks after his patients best interest. Patients also should be aware he handles his own practice and with that comes the responsibility of the patient being understanding of you have to wait longer than expected. I always try and book an early appt, as you’ll be waiting for about an hour. It’s not for everyone, but I’ve been seeing him for over 15 years and have never had a primary care doctor treat me with such care and kindness like Dr. Merola has.
Wonderful Doctor. Very professional. Really listened to what I had to say and valued my opinion. HIGHLY recommend.
Henry was awesome! very professional, kind and helpful. overall great experience.
ALWAYS very thorough!
Amazing doctor, very insightful and caring. Only issue, he is too popular, and the wait times get long.
He was extremely nice and took his time with me. While I did have to wait I can see that people are waiting due to the time and care the Dr. is taking with each person. It was worth the wait in my opinion to have such focused and supportive care from Dr. Merola.
I waited over 3 hours to see Dr. Merola. It was worth it. He really takes his time and is invested in every patient. He doesnt rush you at all.
This was my first visit ever with Dr. Henry Merola. I found him to be very friendly, approachable, and took the time to really listen to my concerns with my health. The wait time was less than an hour because there were a few other people waiting ahead of me, which didn't really bother me at all. It is typically the norm when I visit any clinic or doc, so I was fine waiting.
Dr Merola is very thorough and knowledgeable. I always feel I am being treated by the best doctor.
Always Willing to chat about your concerns!
Dr. Merola was kind, patient and extremely knowledgeable. His bedside manner was the best I’ve experienced of any PCP. I would highly recommend him.
Great but the lab is useless. Helped no one for almost two hours
Takes the time to discuss your health with you. Spends as much time as needed answering questions!
The only issue that I had with my visit is that I waited 1.5 hours to see him
Dr. Merola is absolutely the best! He takes the time to holistically treat patients, which is a rarity these days!
Dr. Merola is knowledgeable, toughrough, transparent with his practice, and is willing to do the grunt work when other staff is too busy. You cannot find a more respectable doctor!
I have seen Dr. Merola for over two years. I NEVER write reviews. But today I am compelled to do so because of the terrible situation I find myself in. Over the last three weeks I have visited Dr. Merola two times, each time was so that he could submit proper documentation for prior authorization of a medication. Both times he has failed to do so. I also received a bill that did not get sent to my health insurance. I contacted Dr. Merola through the patient portal website and received a response from a person named Rosemary, who obviously didn't read my emails because she replied "please schedule appointment to be evaluated" when I asked questions about my insurance. When I called the office a few minutes ago. I was told that Rosemary no longer works there (even though less than 30 minutes ago she emailed me). I do not know if this is a tactic to get me to stop calling. When I asked when Rosemary still has access to patient information (including my contact information and medical records) the person over the phone said that's because she is Dr. Merola's wife. I was appalled! Long story short, I do not recommend Dr. Merola. If you can go to another doctor, do so.
Great doctor and great guy! Dr. Merola was very friendly, professional and informative. I would recommend him to anyone.
Dr. Merola always makes you feel like you are his only Patient. He listens and never rushes you out the door. He is usually spot on with his recommendations to make you feel better.
i have been a regular patient of dr merola's for about 9 years and have always found him efficient, professional, and courteous.
It is rare that I find a medical professional who made me feel as comfortable and real as Dr. Merola. The drive is more than an hour and I am adamant to keep him as my Primary Care Provider. I left confident and assured and look forward to healing fully due to the guidance and care given by Dr. Merola and his team. Warm Regards Jonathan Quidore (J.P.)
My appointment was at 10:15 got there at 9:30 7 people waiting, they scheduling patients 15 minutes apart it takes 20 minutes to even settle in before you can start taking about your issue. Always over booking patients. Things happen but not all the time.
The Doctor was super nice and answered all the questions in detail!
Love Dr. MEROLA!
The waiting time is so long...
Long time patient. Great relationship. Would definitely recommend seeing him.
Very friendly and professional doctor. Has great knowledge of his profession. Although we never socialize, he's like a friend to the patients.
Very engaging and cares about the patient more than anything else.
Great! Answered my questions and filled my prescriptions.
The wait was 2+ Hours and then doc in Hurry to finish up my appointment and see next. Any reason for overbooking appointments. Also asked for co-pay, when it's clear annual check (& free). Even during Lab test, asked to sign Payment, Thu it's fully covered under insurance.
You don't find many doctors around like Dr. Merola. He takes his time with his patients. He listens with empathy and kindness. Highly recommend!
I have been very comfortable and confident seeing Dr Merola, he has been a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend him.
Great doctor. Truly compassionate when it comes to clients
He would not care about your lab report and never follows up even if some of the the readings are alarming. You will have to rely on your own research of the numbers and then have to set up the follow up with him. Terrible.
Very comfortable and professional
Good as usual. Always happy with the doc.
Great visit as usual!
