Patient reviews for Dr. Ilana Seidel
Amazing Staff, location and service!! Love the Circle clinic!! Great Experience! Great Doctors!
Loved the service. First time ever that a doctor saw me at the appointment time. No long waits ! Also no paperwork :)
Dr. Seidel was very professional while also being warm and understanding. She considered all the options while treating my problem. Would recommend!
Very professional, made me feel at ease. Would definitely recommend to a friend.
Very nice and warm person. Going to the doctor, (especially a new doctor), can be scary. Dr. Seidel made me feel very comfortable immediately. She addressed all my concerns and made sure I knew she understood me.
I thought this visit was kind of pointless and I didn’t feel very comfortable throughout.
My problem isn't with the care I received while in the office, but what happened afterwards. I asked for routine blood work, the kind I've done a million times and which is always covered by my insurance. I ended up with an incredibly exorbitant bill which I couldn't afford because this doctor had used the wrong billing code. My insurance didn't cover whatever code she used for this work, she was wrong and I got in touch with circle medical and they assured me it would be fixed. Weeks later, nothing. I contacted them again and they said they'd fix it, again... I didn't want my bill to get sent to collections, thereby endangering my credit, but that's exactly what happened after she input the wrong code AGAIN. Debt collectors were harassing me for a bill that I wasn't responsible for paying. I ended up having to deal directly with my insurance company who struggled to get in contact with circle medicals billing office and finally after about 6-7 months sorted it out. Such a ridiculous headache for a mistake that the doctor/office could have and should have easily fixed.
She was so thoughtful, insightful, and knowledgeable. I really enjoyed my experience with her.
She was extremely personable and funny. It was the first time a PCP actually gave me a plan to work on my holistic health rather than just prescribe away my problems. I really felt like she wanted me to adjust my lifestyle reasonably and was really rooting for me.
I love how easy she is to talk to. I felt very comfortable and relaxed the entire time. She was very body positive and I could tell she truly wanted the best for me. She made great recommendations and set up follow ups through the app. She is my go to from now on.
I love how easy it is to speak w Dr. Seidel, the office also makes it comfortable. Highly recommend!!!
This was my first time ever being seen by a doctor as soon as I walk in, let alone, greeted by the doctor! Dr Seidel was very kind and professional. She asked all the right questions to fully assess my health. Highly recommend!
I visited this office for my annual physical which was supposed to be a preventive care. I told the doctor multiple times during my appointment that I was only interested in the free preventive care details. But they used incorrect codes in the lab test order which triggered diagnosis billing, and now I have a bill to pay :( Most frustrating part is, Circle Medical customer service representatives are never available on phone for customer support. They have their mobile app which is the only place where you can talk to circle one about anything. And they ignore questions they prefer not to answer.
New patient visit was encouraging. I like her approach and she seems knowledgeable.
Ilana was great and very thorough. She went through my entire history and was mindful of my requests. She went through various treatments and sent me literature and other research material to go through so that I may be better informed. Highly recommended.
Doctor Seidel was very respectful, personable and informative. She definitely cares about her patients overall well being. I'd recommend her to anyone looking for a new doctor.
It was a very bad experience for me. I had scheduled my annual physical exam and clearly laid out my concerns / issues I wanted to resolve. It seems like they are more interested in making money and told me that testing for Vitamin D, B12 etc is not covered by insurance and will need to pay extra. I have gotten Annual physical in the past at least 5 times and all of that is typically covered. Their strategy was to make you come back again and again and pay their fees each time so they can make more money off of you. She spend all the time telling me how I can be more regular to the gym which is not why I go to primary care doctor for. I already know that it’s important to go to the gym. I was really keen on knowing my blood pressure patterns and when I asked her to check my bp she said we ran out of time and that she can check May be some other time. I spent 50 minutes at their place and got nothing in return other than a lecture that I should go to gym. And that I should come back for any other questions in a week. Worst annual physical in 5 years. I learned nothing about my health. It seems like it will take another 3-4 visits before they start to help me with my problems and tell me something meaningful. Do yourself a favor and find a better primary care doctor. Avoid circle medial at all costs
I was pleasantly surprised at how smooth the whole process is. I'm a little bit apprehensive about not knowing how much the visit may cost in terms of co-pay, deductibles, etc. in advance or at the end of the appointment. All of this information is provided via the Circle Medical app after they hear back from the insurance company.
I loved her! I appreciated her integrative perspective on medicine.
What an amazing experience to find a doctor who performs
I absolutely loved my visit. I felt really heard and really cared for. I will definitely be making this my regular doctor's office!
I am not one to write negative reviews, but after realizing my friend and I both saw this doctor and both had such awful experiences, I feel i need to warn others. This woman did not take me seriously, she was incredibly rude to me from the moment I walked in. All I needed a general check up and left with Dr. Seidel saying I was an alcoholic and saying I could not quit drinking cold turkey because I would go into withdrawals and die. Are you kidding me? I’m a 25 year old man, it is 100% okay for me to have a beer or two after work 2-3 days a week. I did not get the care I needed whatsoever. She was so condescending, I have never felt so awful leaving a place that is supposed to make you feel better. She spent the entire 13 min (wow, way to make your patients feel cared about) with me talking about a completely unrelated and NON EXISTING issue. I have a feeling this doctor does not take young adults seriously. Save yourself the pain and frustration and go with another doctor.
I cannot even explain how disappointed I am about everything i experienced here. Dr. Seidel did not take me seriously from the moment I walked in. She did not care what I had to say and completely discredited my thoughts/feelings/opinions. She sat there and googled everything I told her I was concerned about. I can do that at home. She had no solution for any of my concerns and was unprofessional and very rude. To lighten the mood at the end, i jokingly said, “well as long as you don’t think I’m dying”, to which she replied “well everyone is dying”. I thought maybe i caught her on a bad day, but unfortunately my roommate saw Dr. Seidel today and had an even worse experience.
Illana is great! She is incredibly knowledgeable and thoughtful. I will definitely continue to see her as my primary doctor. Plus, the office Circle Medical is top-notch. Good location in the city and a great app for checking-in, getting updates from your doctor and filling prescriptions/blood work.
Super kind and smart. 100%recommend
I like her holistic view on health and how she is very personal in her interactions. She gave me food for thought and made feel like she would like to help me meet my health goals.
Awesome. Very detailed , super knowledgeable , nice. Very happy to have find her.
Dr. Seidal was fantastic. She was personal, thorough and very consultative in her approach. New to the bay area, I am so glad I found her as my new primary care doctor!
I loved their format where I can get my info on the circle app. The doctor is very nice and easy to talk to, the whole appointment was very efficient, I’d recommend Dr. Seidel to anyone.
Love the place and everybody's attitude
Kind, personable, thoughtful. A great experience all around. Highly recommended
My visit with Dr Ilana was smooth from start to finish. She was compassionate and was straightforward with information. I will certainly be returning to Dr. Ilana.
Dr. Seidel was refreshingly attentive, understanding and open, creating a comfortable environment that encouraged transparent and candid communication about my health history and current symptoms. She exerted high emotional intelligence that alleviated the stressors that traditional doctor’s office visits cause. I’m very lucky to have found her and Circle Medical!
Took her time asking me all about my issue. Was very kind and professional. I highly recommend her!
Dr. Seidel clearly explained exactly what we would be doing today, as well as what - if anything - was needed for a followup. She was very concise and approachable, and she explained her steps logically. She is great!
First off, an appointment on a Saturday was great and allowed me to skip out on an urgent care wait. The office is rather modern and actually refreshing as compared to the more traditional offices. Dr. Seidel was very kind and helpful during my appointment. She was open to all my questions and concerns. Overall the appointment and staff was great.
The office is very different from a typical doctors office, it really did feel more like a tech start up. It was nice that they had water for us while we waited. The circle medical app made it easy for me to check in. Dr. Seidel was kind and friendly, but she wasn't able to help me with my concerns. She sent me to an ER in the city that was so crowded I ended up having to wait there for hours with a fever. In hindsight it would have been nice if she had provided a list of places I could go because where she sent me was terrible and I ended up going home after hours and hours of waiting. Then googling an urgent care myself and going there the next day instead.
I get nervous going to the doctor, but Dr. Seidel was incredibly kind, had a sense of humor and quickly put me at ease. I was impressed with the amount of time she spent with me and the genuine care she showed for my well-being and wanting to help me achieve my health goals. Oh, and the Circle Medical Office looks like a tech start-up, not a traditional doctor's office. That immediately helped settle my nerves. They're also paperless, which is wonderful. Someone will check you in quickly with an iPad and offer you water. Any questions/follow-up are easily answered over the Circle Medical App. I had a question for Dr. Seidel today and she wrote back within the hour. This was the most positive experience I've had with a doctor. I left feeling comfortable - and empowered. I will definitely recommend Dr. Seidel to my friends.
Love Dr. Seidel's sense of humor, warmth, and integrative medicine approach. She was thorough, thoughtful, and delightful to work with. I will definitely be returning to her.
Dr. Ilana is friendly and cheerful. She listened carefully to my problems and made me feel comfortable. She patiently explained things I did not understand.
Very caring and nurturing doctor.
She was very nice and friendly and took time to explain everything nicely.
She's efficient, has a sense of humor, was knowledgeable about my health needs, and made initial plans for me to follow until my follow-up appt. It shows that she cares about her patients. I recommend her and her friendly staff! They have a lab for blood work too.
All I can say is, very strange experience. The lobby is full of people on their computers and it does not feel like a doctor's office at all. Went in for some serious concerns and was rushed out and felt uncertain I was getting the care I needed. Dr. Siedel was condescending and she literally looked up my questions on google as we spoke. She prescribed something unecessary and unrelated to the issue. She barely examined me and made me feel uncomfortable. The only plus is the app and the fact that you can see your medical records and results. Won't be back!
Truly the most thorough doctors I have ever seen.
For my established new patient appointment, I found Dr. Seidel to be caring and comprehensive in her care. However, most recently the visit was rushed. She explained that she had another patient, which is understandable but I have no control over the the length of time allotted to appointments when scheduling. Additionally, she spent the about a1/3 of the appointment attending to paperwork that needed to be completed for my school and 2/3 of the appointment creating a questionnaire asking about symptoms I had already described in detail in the initial appointment. She admitted she had not had the chance to review the labs that she ordered initially nor the follow up medical records sent to Circle Medical from a specialist I had seen. In the end, the visit was not productive for either of us as nothing was accomplished--the paperwork--the referral--follow up labs needed for the completed paperwork were not ordered, the paperwork itself was not updated to reflect the immunization I received that day. The nurse attempted that was in that day appeared to try to address these things but actually never answered any of my questions, nor followed up with the referral or paperwork I came in for. My time spent at Circle Medical at least for this last appointment was not productive.
What a modern state of the art practice should be.
My visit with Ilana Seidel is very quick and normal. She was very courteous and polite, if not a little awkward though. The service was very friendly and professional, but I'm not going to lie the office is so weird because it seems like they share an open space with another company. I know San Francisco doesn't have much space but this was a little odd and not as comfortable for me. When you go to the doctor you're usually uncomfortable so having to walk through an office space with strangers is just odd to me. When I did get into Dr. Seidel's office it was comfortable and she did all the normal process protocol, but it turns out that I didn't really have much she could help me on because I was already on the mend from my ailments. I just wanted to check in with a doctor to make sure it wasn't anything serious. Overall, because of the location I'm honestly not sure that I like this set up. I prefer a regular normal doctor's office set up to feel more comfortable and take the service more seriously.
Great! Was able to see me day of and gave plenty of good info. App was super easy to use and everyone was super friendly.
