Clean office, pleasant staff. The only issue was the wait time, and it’s only because the machine broke and had tobe fixed. The assistants and the doctor apologized numerous times for the wait. It was my first visit, so they had to run all the tests. I was assured that the next time it’d be faster. Highly recommend Dr. Pankova’s office.

Dr. Pankova completed her Ophthalmology residency at Chicago Midwestern University, she specialized in Glaucoma at Cornell University Medical College. The New York Glaucoma Institute was established in 2005 by Dr. Irina Pankova. Since then she was able to build up a highly professional team of doctors and medical staff. Our office is conviniently located in Brooklyn. You will be welcomed by our friendly personnel.

Dr. Pankova is a good doctor and I didn't have any issues with her. But be warned her staff is incredibly unprofessional and rude. I received my bill for my May appointment in late October. The bill it self didn't explainany of the procedures they were billing me for. When I called to get details on the procedure they were very defensive and rude. I have never been billed more than five months after my appointment! This complicates things for me because I am no longer employed at the company I was working for in May when I had the eye test. The wait time at the office is also pretty bad.

She and her Manhattan office have taken good care of me for some time now. They always explain what they are doing and the Dr. takes the time to explain results well and outling what treatment options are available.

I walked in about 5 minutes late and the minute i walked in, they asked my name, i checked in and less than 5 minutes later i was called to get a work up. The medical assistant and the Doctor wereadorable. The doctor explained everything thoroughly, looked me in the eyes, and smiled. Loved the ambiance and I would return again!

she doesn't prescribes eyeglasses so doesn't make a sense if you go there you go just for nothing bcs she doesn't proscribes anything. What kind ophthalmologist if do not prescribes eyeglasses so probably she is not complete doctor yet.

Her office couldn't get their act together to even see me. I waited s half hour and she wouldn't see me because somebody in another office somewhere was supposed to be "looking up my insurance." What does that even mean? Ifyou don't have the capabilities to act like a doctor's office, than don't. I entered all my ZocDoc info online days ago. You'd think they'd have done something then. No, the front desk guy was on Facebook the whole 30 minutes I was there. If I ran a business like this, I'd be out of business.

My visit was poor. I came in 10 minutes before my 1245 appointment and was not seen until 2p. When Dr. Pinkova came in to see me she sat down and began her assessment. I kindly mentioned to her that herwait time was excessive. She proceeded to say with sarcasm that I should be glad she saw me in less than a hour and a half and that other offices have longer wait times. She then apologized for being late but continued to speak on the fact that I am complaining and should be happy with the visit. I would not recommend her and will not be returning to her office. I drive 35 minutes to get to her office and have health insurance. I don't have to go to her because she isn't volunteering or providing a free service. She should have better customer service and business etiquette. I only started going to her office because my glaucoma specialist moved. Doctors can have a bad office day and be behind. But when you walk into the room you apologize to your CUSTOMER and move on. I didn't mention to her that I was a nurse practitioner and have patients as well. I shouldn't have to say my title in order to get good service. Thank you

I believe the doctor knows what she is doing and I'm looking forward to her help, I had a bad accident when I was 14 and I am hoping she can help me, so I will follow up with more feedback when we are finished with my treatment, my eye sight is in her hands, so is my life!

I had to travel to her Brooklyn office for treatment this time. I found that office to be a bright, comfortable and pleasant place. Friendly and professional staff are very good at putting a nervous patient at ease. The office made me uncomfortable, it wasn't anything the doctor did, but the atmosphere was just not a place I felt comfortable in. The secretary creeped me out too. I'm going to look for a new doctor through zocdoc.

Overall it was a good experience, however, their credit card machine was not set up yet. Even though this is a new office, it's strange to start accepting patients if you can't process their co-pay. Once they figure out the initialset up obstacles I have no doubt they'll be a successful office.
