Patient reviews for Dr. Israel Kochin
He answered all our questions and has a great bedside manner. My daughter felt comfortable with him. The wait time was terrible. Expect to wait for over an hour
He was talking to much and barrely listen to me for what I wanted to ask . Horrible doctor-patient appointment. I would never go back.
It was great to see him.
Dr Kochin seems very knowledgeable. My son was a bit reticent to talk about his issues at first but the doctor did put him at ease. I thought his initial consultation was thorough. My biggest issue was the wait time. Also, his front desk staff were not that nice.
It was a good experience he was very helpful in find different solutions to help.Very friendly with my child which made it an easy Experience.
I went to this doctor for a second opinion. He suggested things right away that made me confident in my decision. He is very knowledgeable and shared information that the first doctor did not about symptoms and treatment. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is experiencing GI issues.
I am very surprised by all of the very positive reviews. I can tell that Dr. Kochin is a nice person, but we were phenomenally unimpressed with him as a doctor. He was completely unprepared for our daughter's appointment and it took his office manager at the other location 45 minutes to email her chart with the tests results that we were waiting to go over in order to discuss her condition. He did not have a computer or tablet in his office, and was reviewing the labs on a phone. We found him difficult to understand as he spoke very quickly and mumbled quite a bit. We felt bad for the other patients whose appointments were very delayed due to his disorganization and waiting forever for the other office to email over the chart. The pharmacist was highly concerned about the medication that he had prescribed for our 20 month old daughter, so we did not end up filling it. We will not be returning to his practice and will be following-up with a different physician.
Besides ordering blood work for my child he barely touched my child to see where is bothering him. Like one of the reviewer said he's weird. What kind of doctor slouches and have his hand holding up his head while talking to a patient? He wouldn't give me my child's blood work results over the phone unless we go in to meet with him so he can charge me the co-pay and also bill my insurance.
I was very happy with the doctor , my daughter felt very comfortable with him , he answered all our questions, I definitely recommend this doctor to all my friends and family.
As a new patient I booked a next day appt on zocdoc. Dr. Kochin is a busy physician. I waited for 1.5 hours to be seen. He is a good physician. Took the time with my daughter, examined her, discussed several treatment/diagnostics options and gave his recommendations as well as cons to alternatives. I did not feel rushed. He also used a very basic video presentation while he was documenting in his chart (it was great for my 6 year old to visualize her problem). Best is that he does not push unnecessary testing like others. He is more conservative which is great when dealing with children. Highly recommend. Happy with visit. The wait is very long - but for a good dr its worth it and there always a wait for good doctors. Staff are nice, organized, and efficient. They were able to fit me in same day to see his wife the allergist even without an appt because I came from 1.5 hours away. Overall happy and would recommend.
I was running late and he stayed to wait to see my son. He has intense bahevorial issues and he still treated him fairly and with love.
Knowledgeable. Very informative. Different approach then the other 2 gastroenterologist that I have seen for my sons condition.
Dr. Kochin was very knowledgeable and takes the time to listen. He was great with our 3 yo daughter by asking her questions to see where her problem area was. We definitely recommend him. He’s a good specialist!
Takes his time. Very knowledgeable.
