Dr. Turco is board certified in Psychiatry and Neurology in addition to Integrative and Holistic Medicine. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and American Holistic Medical Association. I work with adults and adolescents who are interested in an innovative and integrative approach to mental health and well being.
I have extensively studied and practiced both traditional and holistic approaches in medicine, metaphysics, eastern religion and philosophy, nutritional neuroscience, interpersonal neurobiology, and mind body medicine. My practice integrates traditional medicine with complementary approaches. Services offered include; psychopharmacology, nutritional counseling, nutraceuticals, psychotherapy, mindfulness and stress reduction techniques.
I spent several years as an Attending Emergency Psychiatrist at Bellevue hospital. I served as the Associate Director and then Director of Bellevue’s Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program. Currently, I have a full time private practice, specializing in Integrative Psychiatry. I am an Associate Clinical Professor at NYU School of Medicine where I teach a course for senior medical residents in Integrative Psychiatry. I supervise medical students and medical residents in my practice and in the hospital setting. I have expertise in psychopharmacology, comprehensive diagnostic assessment, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder and post traumatic stress disorder. I have additional training in Reproductive Psychiatry and remain affiliated with the practice at NYU. I treat women before, during, and after pregnancy for perinatal and postpartum related disorders.
