Very thorough and with really good ideas on what to improve and change
He is the first Doctor I met in US do follow up check with you. The only one I feel that cares about my health and who wants to help. I went to ER and a western doctor place while I coughing badly (coughing blood). None of them helps they just ask me go home to keep cough to heal by itself. But Dr, Jeff gave me like 10 tips and try different things which actually helped. Recommending to my friend now. :)

Dr. Metzger was very patient and listened to every concern that I had. Appointments are usually about 90 minutes, but he gave me an extra 20 just so we could finish going deeper into my symptoms. I’m so happy to have a doctor that wants to investigate! We have another appointment soon so hopefully we’ll find some answers.

Dr. Metzger met with me right away even though I was a new patient. I have never had a doctor be so thorough. I was so impressed by how detailed he was about my health history, lifestyle history, and my current lifestyle. It took me 2 months to get in to see a gastroenterologist and I walked away without the slightest idea what I could do differenlty to feel better. It was the biggest waste of time. Dr. Metzger took his time, asked me real questions, and came up with a plan for me including diet changes I can make to help improve my condition. Dr. Metzger will work with you to find the root cause of your problem, not just suppress your symptoms. Go see him.

Dr. Metzger is a very kind and thorough doctor. I went to see him for my Hashimoto thyroid that I have struggled with for several years.Other doctors swept it under the carpet with the regular treatment but Dr. Metzger had suggested treatment with T3. This has made a radical transformation in how I have felt and after a few months another blood test revealed NO H ASHIMOTOS! I thank the Lord for this amazing Doctor and highly recommend him for anything.
I am a new patient, and live a couple hours away from Dr. Jeff's office. I got side tracked with directions and was about 30 minutes late to my appointment. He didn't mind at all and was totally cool about it. Once I got in he began the appointment immediately and really cared about my health and wanted to listen. This guy is the real deal and knows A TON about health and natural remedies. I can't wait to start following his treatment recommendations and looking forward to future visits with him. I went to Dr. Metzger a few months ago with an eczema outbreak that was getting out of control. Legs, torso, arms, hands... I was a mess. I had never been to a naturopath (my fiancé encouraged me to go), so I wasn't sure what to expect and honestly didn't expect much. I had resigned myself to the condition after a topical steroid failed to deliver relief. Based on everything I read about the condition, I figured this was just my fate. After a thorough and lengthy initial visit, I felt like I had stepped back in time. There was no rushing hand-on-the-doorknob "I've got to get to the next patient" feeling. Dr. Metzger was confident that we would find a solution. It took a while, but following his regimen very closely, I began to see results. As I sat blowing my nose on one of my visits, Jeff mentioned casually that my allergies would benefit from the strict diet he prescribed. I assured myself the man was mad. I was wrong. After about 4 months, my skin is clear, I've lost 15 pounds, and astonishingly, my lifelong allergies have abated. This man is a healer, pure and simple.
Dr. Metzger is terrific! I started working with him about 6 years ago after a recurrence with breast cancer. I was experiencing chronic fatigue. He truly cares about his patients! He listens carefully, does extensive research, and has excellent follow through. Believing that digestion is at the core of most health problems, if you can help the digestive process you can heal yourself! I am living proof! I would highly recommend Dr. Metzger!
Dr. Metzger saved my life, literally! First time I got there, I could barely stand (my wife had to drive me there). After few failed attempts with general GI, I started seeing immediate improvements, and soon after was off my meds back to normal life. I continue visiting Dr. Metzger every 6 months or so for general checkups, but thanks to him my health now even better before I got sick.
My visit was a nice one in comparison to others i have had with past physicians. Dr. Metzger was not only professional, but also was an approachable, kind man. He easily allowed for some coversation not pertaining to the visit to help break the ice. I appreciated that he went further into explinations than a couple of past doctors i have had. Very nice, the environment was calm and comfortable, a definite recomendation from me!
Dr. Metzger has been very helpful for myself and my children. He always finds the core to our health issues, relating to diet and gut health. I've learned so much that I can use in my everyday life. He has impressed me with his dedication to our health, he even visited my daughter in the hospital! This was my initial visit. Dr Metzger is very professional and intelligent. I don't have any major ailments, so my physician is more of a good health mentor and occassional help for a bad cold and such. I immediately get the impression that he has a passion for helping people stay in good health by using naturopathic practices. Thumbs up!
Dr. Metzger is what I would consider a good old fashioned doctor. He is a doctor that you would expect to find in a quaint, country town. I can see him walking around with an old black bag and walking up to your door. I felt like I was at home speaking with him. He is very detailed and looks at the whole picture, not just trying to cover up the symptoms but looking for the underlying cause. This is the type of doctor more doctors should try to be like. It seems as though his main purpose is to help heal your whole body. I believe I have found a doctor for life. Best thing about it is he takes my insurance too!!! Great Doc!!
I have been seeing Dr. Metzger for several years. We met when I was experiencing "after effects" from cancer treatment i.e. chronic fatigue, fluid retention, pain, etc....By "tweeking" my diet and adding some supplements, along with different forms of stretching and exercise, my quality of life is really good. Dr. Metzger is conscientious, very knowledgeable, and loyal to his patients. He has excellent bedside manner as well as follow up. I appreciate how he has met me where I am as a patient and helped to come alongside me (without judgment) and work together as a team to help me get better. He is excellent and I recommend him all the time to people who ask me how I am doing so well.
The guy is nice but had old school equipment, unprofessional demeanor and attire does not match profession. He seemed medically lackluster regarding concerns. I'm leary regarding whether I'll return.

If you are looking for naturopathic care I would recommend Dr. Metzger. When I first came to doctor Metzger I was extremely sick with ulcerative colitis. I felt as if western medicine had little more to offer me besides colon removal, which I was not thrilled about. I found Dr. Metzger to be genuinely caring and extremely concerned with my wellbeing. Under his knowledgeable guidance I have since made a full recovery. I truly believe Dr. Metzger worked very hard to provide me with the best care he could and it made a huge impact.
