First time at the office, and right from the beginning I was made to feel comfortable. The office also has a chic and modern design. It definitely is not your run off the mill PCP office. As for Dr. Adams hewas great extremely personable and just all around a pleasure. I look forward to further appointments.

Lots to like about Dr. Adams and his practice! The new 2nd floor offices are immaculate, and the staff is very polite and well-trained. His offices are located within the New York Dermatology Group, which is expanding their practice to bemore of a full-body health and wellness center (with two Internists/PCPs and a Gynecologist in addition to Dermatologists, Etheticians, etc). Though Dr. Adams was running behind (and I arrived 20 minutes early, making my total wait about 40 minutes), he was very quick and decisive when we got into the room. Diagnosed my issue immediately and treated it, reviewed other concerns I had, renewed a script, and talked me through a follow up appointment. All in abut 20 minutes. He definitely has a lot of experience and is very knowledgeable. I look forward to seeing him again.

I haven't had a primary care physician in a while (have just been using CityMD when sick) and I was SO pleased with Dr. Adams. Such a difference from the often dismissive attitude of the urgent care physicians. He really mademe feel heard and took a lot of time to help me understand exactly what he felt was making me sick, even going so far as to Google Image a picture of the virus he thought I had. He also ran out to find me before I left because he thought of some additional advice to give me (eat bland foods, avoid takeout). I really appreciated how thoughtful and genuine he was. I plan to return. (Also I think the reason for the long wait time is because he is so patient and takes time to really listen to each person instead of hustling them out the door.)

This was my first time seeing Dr. Adams, and it was a great experience! I've had a hard time finding doctors / offices in NYC, but this one is clean, well managed, and Dr. Adams was very thorough, helpful and nice. I went to get vaccines for travel abroad.

Dr. Adams is the man. He is super smart and quick and listened to all my crazy ranting with a smile. He’s patient and really nice. If you’re looking for an internist, there’s not going to be a nicer guy. Also the office is super nice.

Dr. Adams is easy to talk to, asked questions about my previous and current health situations. I mainly went in to discuss travel meds needed for my upcoming trip and he thoroughly explained which vaccines i might need, what they are,and how to take them. All in all, a pleasant visit. I scheduled for 1st available appt in the AM so wait time was under 30 minutes.

Dr. Adams was fantastic, took his time, and made me (finally) feel confident that I would be getting quality care after seeing numerous other doctors. Wait time was a bit long, but that’s pretty standard for NYC. And if it meansyou’re getting a fully attentive and careful doctor when it’s your turn, I’m all for it.

I wasn't 100% comfortable. It could be in part because this was the first male doctor I've seen since I was a child. I did feel a little judged when the doctor "bed" on my cholesterol levels. Finding a good veinwas difficult. I'm not a fan of needles so when it takes more than one try, I'll admit I can become very short. I do have to go back for a follow up so we will see how things are the second time around.

I was very disappointed with Mr. Adams as my primary doctor. In 2015 he left me a message that made me believe that I had a serious disease. I rushed to him the next day, only to tell me that itwas "false positive". During 2017, I had two visits there but the doctor refused to give me the results over the phone forcing me to go for more visiting. After the second visit, he never called to tell me my results. I kept calling for weeks only to finally get an response from the office director that I had to go back for more tests (no explanation as of why as my last tests seemed). This doctor wants additional visits to charge more money. Someone needs to pay for their fancy office in their fancy address! I just requested my medical records and I will find another primary doctor!

Pro’s: The facility is sleek and modern, Patient documents are all online via complimentary laptop, They’re five different doctors at this particular location, rooms are kept clean and private, front desk clerical assistants are efficient.Cons: Wait time is excessive- My appointment was scheduled for 2:15pm, I arrived at 1:10pm and did not see the doctor until 2:30pm, Trainee nurses- Nurse forgot to take my weight after taking my blood sample. After completing my physical (while waiting on my assessment results from the doctor) she came back and stated that she would weigh me but did not communicate this to my doctor. I was dismissed from my doctor with no follow-up after my assessment. Not a big deal, on the other hand. While changing in my room, a different male nurse did not knock and entered through a back door, claiming to pick up an item. It was just a bit bizarre. Dr. John Adams- Is an interesting doctor, indeed. Although extremely knowledgeable within his field he is sarcastic and a little distant in making his client feel warm/comfortable. My questions about my body/health was met with sarcastic (not so humorous approach) responses. Being a first time client, I felt silly for inquiring about my own body. After I got use to his personality, I didn’t feel so awkward. He did give me great advice and addressed things that I was not aware of (prescribed antibiotics). Overall, I was satisfied with my service but I can definitely understand how someone of a introverted nature could be intimidated. Especially since physical exams are already intrusive. Side Note: He is on his phone quite a bit during the assessment.

Beautiful office environment. Bit of an involved signing in / registering process and waited in the lobby for a solid 30+ Minutes. Nurse was nice, not a lot of back-and-forth and pretty direct. Doctor was good, asked questions. Nurse + Doctor only took 15 minutes

Went there for my annual physical exam. A nurse saw me -and tried (and failed ) to draw blood 2x before she called the doctor. The prospect of having blood drawn is stressful as it is - but having someone pokea needle into you 2 times -both arms - and missing to find the vein is pretty horrifying. The doctor offered to try a third time -- but by then, my faith in the practice was lost - how can you employ nurses that do not even know how to draw blood properly?

Dr. Adams is always extremely helpful and is able to deal with both my dermatology and general practitioner questions! The office is very clean and technically more advanced than most I've seen. Him and his assistants use tablets for digitalrecords, which allows them to better track the convos that we've had in the past and see progress. Sometimes it takes a little while to be seen, but when you sit down with him he's extremely approachable and offers a solution quickly.
