He's an awesome doctor
He was very pleasant and straight forward. Staff was ver nice!!
An honest man who is focused on the health and well being of the patient---the surgery option is the last option. He makes every effort to get his patients well by using exercise& stretching, physical therapy, and changing the patients life style so a healthier regime can be implemented.
Pleasantly surprised with no waiting today.
Follow up, the best orthopedic surgeon around
He had a diagnosis for me before he evaluated my foot.
My appointment was for 10am. I had an x-ray done with their office pretty much right away and I was back in the regular waiting room by 10:35am. Another woman with a 10am appointment complained around 11am and they took her in within 5 minutes of complaining. A woman who showed up at 11 for an 11am appointment was seen before me, I'm guessing because she complained about having to bring one of her children to school. (Great, I don't have kids, so I get to waste my whole morning in the doctors office). And yes, she was seeing the same doctor as I was (I know sometimes people get confused with different doctors). By the time I made it into a room it was 12:15pm. The doctor apologized for the wait. He then just rambled on about his teachings and how different things are done now than when my surgery was done 16 or so years ago. He did eventually get to the point and tell me what my options are for my pain but it was just a lot of wasted time on my part. I will not go back here. I did not particularly enjoy him. The entire staff was very nice and friendly but I would consider them unprofessional due to how they appease complaining patients and put them before others.
Straight to the point, fast, knowledgeable and very helpful!
Had to travel a distance to be seen and arrived early for my appointment, Completed the registration paperwork in a few minutes and was in a patient room an hour before my appointment. Dr. Tierney spent time explaining my situation as seen on the MRI and answered all my questions. I am scheduled for PT to work on getting better and am pleased with the entire experience. I was back on the road headed home before my scheduled appointment time had even arrived
He did a great job of explaining exactly what was going on in my knee without being the slightest bit condescending - a rarity in my experience! I'll definitely be returning to Dr. Tierney if my condition calls for it. I highly recommend him!
Always a pleasure. Very knowledgeable and personable.
He is fantastic!!!
The wait was long but i understood that the doctor had just gotten back from Vacation and I had to get xray's done. He was great and was able to diagnose me right away which was helpful! His staff was very courteous as well.
Dr. Tierney was very friendly and professional.
The visit was good minus the wait time. The doctor is very informed and helpful, but the wait time was very frustrating.
I spent in the office couple of hours for the small question I had about my finger: 1. The waiting line for check-in was huge although I came before scheduled time. 2. They sent me to make an X-Ray, where I spent long time waiting again in line. 3. I spent in the doctor's office only couple of minutes after long almost 2 hours waiting while he told me that he can't help me and I need to see somebody else.
Great doctor, provides excellent service and is straight to the point.
Not super helpful
Dr. Tierney made me feel as though I did not matter at all. His bedside manner is one of a quick in an out...he did not listen to me, kept interrupting and telling me how things were, no input from me necessary. The girls in the office were fantastic and I thought I would have a great visit. He changed all that. I will not return though I need to. I will have to find another doctor. I went to him because the Hospital was recommended to me and I looked for a doctor with his profile: not too old, not too young, with good experience. I shall have to get a recommendation next time. That way of picking a good doctor did not work at all. I am sad I wanted it to work out. My recommendation to Dr. Tierney: you need to make patients feel like their ailment is importan. You need to take the time and you should never even make jokes about having to get going. You don´t have a professional manner, you have a mid- 20th- Cent.- Mad- Men- style. It is not appealing for 21st. Cent. patients. You are young enough that you shall stay around a bit. You truly need to change. 21st. Cent. manners are more caring, more of working WITH the patient, and the doctor should make the patient feel as though they are a real human being and not a number.
This was the first time in the recent past that I only waited 5 minutes! I've had to wait for him for over 30 minutes in the past.
Waited an hour for the appt. and then he was more concerned with my daughters posture than her knee! My daughter felt extremely uncomfortable and I felt that he was unprofessional with his responses.
Dr Tierney ROCKS...He is the best, he tells it like it is..Great sense of humor ..
John Tierney is the ultimate diagnostician and surgeon. He tells it like it is and takes great pride showing you why he has come to his conclusion through the MRI's. I always feel like I am his only patient as he never rushes you.
It was informative and helpful and I always feel like I'm on the right track with him. Dr. Tierney is very positive and upbeat, tho at times I think he's in denial that I'm close to 65.
Dr. Tierney is an amazing doctor! My whole family sees him for various reasons - two of us have had surgery as well. He is very intelligent and kind!
John Tierney is extremely educated in his field. I like him as a doctor and surgeon which is why I returned to him.
Dr. Tierney is a very good Doctor who is funny, enjoyable to talk with, and will explain everything you need to know.
My condition started almost ten years and two surgeries ago. If I had gone to see Dr. Tierney from the beginning, I likely wouldn't need another surgery now. He was thorough and precise. I'm glad I now have an answer.
He spent a lot of time explaining the MRI in a way I could understand.
Very impressed and direct.
Very efficient office/staff. Dr. Tierney offered a thorough explanation of the diagnosis.
Dr. Tierney is highly professional. The shot that he made for my knee was absolutely painless. He displayed my MRI results on the screen and explained my problem very patiently. I would recommend him to my friend.
very knowledge and professional. Took time to explain all avenues and address all issues ,questions. Staff was very polite and knowledge.
Dr. Tierney was really patient and made sure that understood his diagnosis and the way forward. He has a great sense of humor to boot! The staff is extremely friendly as well!
