The doctor along with all of the nurses were very friendly and helpful.
Great doctor, will recommend! !!
Dr Gordon is awesome !!!
I am not a new patient to Dr. Gordon he is very professional and listens to the needs of his patients. Dr. Gordon makes his patients feel relaxed and comfortable. His staff is awesome very friendly and welcoming.
It was great he knew exactly what my issue was and started the process to my recovery.
A little condescending, and spent very little time addressing my injury. Made me feel like I was making a big deal over nothing.
Great bedside manner, knows what he's talking about and easy to talk to and ask questions. Very pleasant experience. Thanks.
Pleasant office, quick and professional visit,
waste of time
Dr.Gordon was very accurate about me diagnosis and was very concerned about my well being.
He was very accommodating and confident in the course of treatment that he selected.
I would never recommend anyone to visit Dr. Gordon for consultation. He is really awful and is not even 0.1% dedicated to his profession. He would not care to listen to your problems even though you explain in a coherent manner. He inconclusively jumps into conclusions without any data or relevant facts and orders X-rays and MRI's. I was suggested to take steroids for which i vehemently opposed and I said it will never succumb to it. He did not get into the basics of what has caused the issue, rather jumped to baseless conclusions. Above all, his attitude really sucks All you can expect is a physio therapy after your x-ray is done and the physio therapy reference sheet also doesn't explain you clearly on what exercises/massage you need to go for. It is really vague and would not help you in drawing any inference from it Stay away from him !!
Excellent practice.. highly recommend
I had a great experience. I will definitely use him again.
Dr. Gordon wastes no time. His assistant, Alexis, took down all the info re my back problem. Then Dr. Gordon came in, examined me and provided a course of action. Dr. Gordon is very caring. Always there for you in his manner and advice.
I like him. He does what is necessary efficiently. No small talk. That's fine with me
He's great. The office staff is also dedicated and efficient. Great location.
Dr Gordon is superb !!!
He'said a good doctor
Short wait, great bedside manner, seemed to know what he was doing. No complaints!
Professional, knowledgeable, instill confidence in patient.
Speedy consultation which leaves me a bit unsure about the treatment itself. Lack of clarity on the injury nature.
Was a quick appointment slot. In and out as he did some analysis and recommended that I see a physical therapist. Therefore it would be unfair of me to give a detailed comment on his approach or competency.
Good meeting again, look forward to consultations in the future.
Aside from the long wait, Dr. Gordon was great. He does see A LOT of patients on a daily basis and likely has you double booked, but he is a nice and knowledgeable doctor. I do have to mention that prior to even seeing the doctor the receptionist (not even the nurse) was going to send me down for x-rays to "speed up the process" which i wasn't a fan of, especially since they weren't necessary.
Excellent doctor ... highly recommend
It was a very quick visit. I had brought x-rays I had taken the week before, and he looked them over while in the room with me. Since they were inconclusive, he said I would need an MRI. I was expecting this, as I felt my pain was coming from a muscle or tendon, rather than the bone. He didn't really spend too much time outlining possible scenarios, or speculating as to what the outcome could be. I have a lot of experience with Athletic injuries, and have had many surgeries in the past, so I would've thought that he would be more curious to hear about exactly how the events took place, and how exactly the pain was coming about. He did put me in a boot though for the meantime, which solved my pain with walking. So, I can't complain
Got in early, got seen early. Great visit will definitely be back again.
Dr. Gordon was very attentive to my needs he provided me with on site medical treatment to alleviate my pain, well as a long term care plan for me to follow right of way. He used the term we when referring to getting my mobility back on track.
He and his assistants were very personable.
Its the first time I made an appointment online and everything went very well.
Very thorough and professional a nice man with an air that breeds confidence
I was running late, and he was very good to get to me soon after I arrived. Continuing diagnosis was quick, and there was a plan if no more improvement after more PT. He also looked at my knee, even though this was for a follow-up for a herniated disc.
Really nice guy and a great ortho. He helped me with my tendinitis and will def go back.
Very pleasant and knowledgable.
Excellent service...quick diagnosis and Treatment recommendation ...my shoulder is 100% better after the shot...Thanks Doc!
He was a great dr. Really nice bed side manner and took the time to diagnose my issue.
I called for a script and it took over 3 days for him to even respond and that was with me calling the office. The office staff is not the friendliest at all. They need to be trained in common courtesy.
He's totally adequate. I work in the medical field so I really don't need bedside manner and all that fluffy stuff. I mean he's not the best physician I've worked with in terms of personable but I found him to be competent and knowledgeable.
I had an appointment however there were 5 people ahead of me. I needed to leave and come back in order to be "seen ontime"
This was my first time visiting the office and I thought everything was run very efficiently. The staff was courteous, as well. Seeing as how I tend to be somewhat injury-prone, I'll definitely be back!
Met with him for less than 5 minutes, didn't even check my knee himself. Had me go for an x-ray without even checking out my knee. I knew there was nothing wrong with the bone.
Doctor was great. Staff is not friendly, but fine. Very reassuring and helpful.
Dr Gordon was super friendly and answered all my questions. Thank you!
It was a good visit
Knowledgeable and friendly doctor and staff
I have only seen Dr. Gordon one time so far, and still have follow up imaging, appts, and potentially procedures, and can say that I am comfortable and incredibly relieved to have found him! I made a same day appointment, waited less than 5 minutes to be seen, and Dr. Gordon actually spent a reasonable amount of time examining my injury, the history, and treatment options. He is kind and never rushed me. What really impressed me was when I had the unfortunate need to reach out to the on-call service over the weekend, and Dr. Gordon called me back within 5-10 minutes!!!
Excellent doctor, very kind, wonderful bedside manner. While he wasn't the exact specialist I needed to see, he referred me to someone else and got me an appointment right away. Super nice guy, highly intelligent, and clearly helpful.
At first I was hesitant to go after reading the reviews regarding the front desk staff. It turns out everyone was extremely cordial.
Extremely efficient w/ time and care. Tough balance, but Dr. Gordon and his staff were awesome. X-rays, diagnostics, and consultation done right away. No bouncing back and forth for different appointments.
There was some sort of tech problem so he was unable to view the X-Rays I had gotten earlier that day. Was unapologetic about it and offered no other solutions. Still then tried to tell me how to proceed with treatment without even confirming if bones were injured. Will not be returning here.
Very good system designed to see patients quickly. Would defiantly go back.
Hi !!!! Excellent doctor and the staff is great and very caring and extremely on task. Very grateful
Polite and professional.
Very kind, down to earth
Strsight and to the point.
The office manager was to write a letter for me for the Department of Transportation, after listening to Dr. Gordon's dictation. After waiting 40 minutes I inquired and found out the office manager left the office. Did not give me the letter. Did not give it anyone else to give it to me. Someone else in the office did provide a letter but it was poorly written and not on original stationery. I have to follow up with them to be given the proper document.
Awful bedside manner, takes about a minute to assess you, 4 days after he has operated on you. Also his office are the most unhelpful, disorganized, and rude group of people i have had the pleasure of dealing with. Would not recommend in any way shape or form.
Dr Gordon is a thorough professional and extremely competent. His bedside manner is very pleasant and he really gives confidence to the patient. And he can give nearly painless injections into your joints if needed! His clinic assistant are also very helpful. However, the front office staff are not quite courteous and often give misleading information. Be prepared to for a little bit roughness there.
It's a bit weird when the Doctor calls a 40 year old man 'Buddy' all the time.
Dr. Gordon was a nice guy and was able to diagnose me almost immediately! He wrote me a rx and gave me a list of exercises to work on and I was out of there in under ten mins. Unfortunately I waited just about 30 mins to be seen, but that was the only downside.
Dr. was fine but the staff at his office was completely unreliable. They do not answer the phone, will hang up the phone on you and take weeks to process forms for important medical procedures. I highly recommend that you stay away unless you want your mental stress to match your physical stress from your injury.
Dr Gordon is an upbeat, straightforward doctor who understood that I needed to alleviate my shoulder tendinitis pain immediately for a much-looked-forward-to tennis vacation, but who also stressed that I must repair my shoulder through physical therapy and other natural means for long term playing and health.
The doctor was great, straight to the point, very clear and helpful
The office was neat and spacious. It had a very bright atmosphere. The staff was very efficient and friendly. The doctor took his time with the exam and answered all my questions. This was probably one of my best dr appointments! Completely satisfied!
Dr.Gordon was very good. He was very fast and to the point. I would defiantly recommend him.
Doctor Gordan is very warm and efficient. No time is wasted. His staff are friendly and efficient. A pleasure to deal with.
Doctor was very confident and knowledgeable. Decisive and personable. Good experience.
Doctor was outstanding. Helped me with my knee injury. Did not feel rushed. Was highly recommended and I see why. Have confidence in his treatment plan. Highly recommend for orthopedic issue.
It's good, but not time enough to talk with the patients, and explains certain explanation that patients want to hear.
He has a spectacular physician's assistant but the doctor... He barely touched what was wrong on my knee and blamed my problems on my age - I'm only 38. I had a lump on my knee that he never examined, he only moved my kneecap around. I can't fully put my knee in flexion but he didn't even check that. For my elbow, he said that it wasn't Tendonitis, barely touching my elbow. My friend, a doctor of physical therapy spent 2 minutes and said my tendon felt like a guitar string when compared to the other elbow. He really didn't seem to care that 1) it hurt or 2) the pain was affecting my work. Maybe it was because I said I couldn't do physical therapy (leaving town for 2 weeks) so he gave me a Rx for Aleve and a sleeve for my elbow.
After my appointment, his staff was supposed to reach out to my insurance company to get an MRI for an ACL injury. It took them a week!! Extremely disappointed and I would not recommend this office.
Maybe glanced at my X-ray for half a second, shook my hand and told me I need an MRI, all within 20 seconds of meeting me for the first time and before he even did anything with my swollen knee. After I pushed back on jumping to the MRI conclusion, he offered to prescribe me medication and gave me some sheets explaining exercises I can do. Keep in my I have a knee injury and when I made it home and looked at the exercises he wanted me to do, they were instructions on how to treat tennis elbow.
The doctor is really good but a bit brusque and to the point. Be prepared with your questions, as you may not see him again that visit after your initial discussion. As several patients have noted, if you are waiting for the office staff to get approval from your insurance company to schedule an MRI, give them one day then start calling to follow up. I lost a week because I waited 2 days and then missed their call, and they never called back. I kept getting their answering service, who don't seem to listen well.
I understand what the other reviewers mean when he is not there for more than 2 minutes. But he is very competent . The facility itself is not great especially when they ask you to go three floors down ( that is the easy part because of the elevator but the long walk in to the XRAY room is no fun with a painful leg and carry the report back .Its better if you take someone along with you I guess)The XRAY tech is great and so are the assistants. The Doctor is rushed but not rude.
Very disappointed. I didn't feel like Dr. Gordon took the time to speak with me and actually figure out what the problem was. Then after my appointment when I tried to call the office for follow-up information, the office staff was rude and unhelpful. Would not recommend.
Knows his stuff. No bs
It went well his a great doctor.
Very positive. I appreciated his conservative approach to healing my injury.
It was pretty good. Front Desk is a bit chatty though. The doctor was really nice.
Very good experience, i was skeptical after seeing some of the reviews but honestly it was overall a very positive experience.
Dr. Gordon is understandably very busy. However, the brief time he spent with me he was patient w/ my questions, highly focused on my problem and 100% attentive. Also, very comprehensive in his approach and recommendations. I felt very relieved and in good hands
The staff was friendly and welcoming. Dr. Gordon is also very friendly and professional and takes the time to treat the symptoms and tell you what he sees. He, in my opinion is a great doctor and I would recommend him to any of my friends, family members and colleagues.
Prompt and stress-free, Dr. Gordon was quickly explained problem in simple terms.
I feel very well cared for. His new assitant is great! It seemed the "planning" for the surgery didn't go as well/smoothly this time as it did the last.
I thought he was very inattentive and did not provide the proper care and information as I would expect from a doctor. I had a sprained ACL and he did not explain how I could ensure a speedy recovery. I had to as my mom who is a physical therapist instead.
A true one-stop shop. I went over my symptoms with the MA, and like normal protocol, he recommended I get an x-ray...down two flights which was relatively quick. I personally broought the x rays back up to Dr. Gordon for review, and was soon on my way home. He was a good listener and seemed very knowledgable of his field. I didn't feel rushed for a second.
Dr. Gordon was very pleasant. He was concerned for my needs and helpful. His office staff on the other hand was horrible. They never scheduled my MRI. I kept calling and phone calls were not betting returned. They office workers were not professional, they were very rude. They showed no concern for anything. The nurses who assisted Dr. GOrdon were great. I will not be following up with Dr. Gordon because of his horrible office staff.
Great experience. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming.
Professional & thorough
My visit was very professional Dr. Gordon explained everything that was wrong and I was very happy with the results
The staff was professional and took care of me right away.
right down to business. No wait, x-ray in house. If it wasn't for my insurance provider (Anthem BCBS) I would've likely been scheduled an MRI today as well. Waiting for approval for the MRI fro Anthem and getting right back in to see the doctor ASAP!
I had been seeing a podiatrist for injuries to my foot and ankle, but wasn't getting the proactive treatment I was hoping for, so I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Gordon. He gave me a treatment plan to get me back on my foot and a prescription for physical therapy, which is exactly what I needed. If I hadn't seen Dr. Gordon, I'm certain my recovery time would have been much longer. He was very nice and patient with me -- I didn't feel rushed and felt that he really listened to me and answered all my questions. I was very happy with the appointment.
Second time I've needed Dr. Gordon! He's one of the best!
The doctor was patient, listened, and assured me that he would work with me to find the source of my chronic pain.
I have consulted a number of orthopedic specialists over the years and my experience with Dr. Gordon has definitely been superior to a number of others. I was very pleased with my second visit as well as with the front desk staff. I received a treatment we had discussed at my first visit and I anticipate continuing to consult Dr. Gordon for my orthopedic management. Dr. Gordon is a refreshing combination in that he is highly knowledgeable and personable I never felt rushed through the appointment and definitely value his clinical opinion. His technical skill, as evidenced by the procedure he administered, was evident.
Very pleased. I had an informed discussion and we agreed upon a treatment plan
At least he has a sense of humor.
Long wait but office was really busy. Always have something to read.
He was very knowledgeable helped me out quickly thank you
Dr Gordon was thoroughly professional and was yet kind and efficient. It was a very nice experience.
very polite and professional really knows his field
His bedside manner is sometimes atrocious, very blunt and not very explanatory in the procedures, options, or issues discovered, using lots of medical terms and not really explaining what they mean. His procedural notes were deliberately vague such that other doctors cannot follow what has been done which then require repeat MRIs to be performed. He takes a while to release his notes, he doesn't even complete your file accurately such that there is information missing e.g. operative reports or images. He books four (sometimes six) patients at a time so they put you in a waiting and move you to an exam room and then he sees you which can be up to an hour later. I would not recommend and I would never use him again.
I had a good, concise discussion with Dr Gordon and I am pleased with the proposed treatment plan. The radiology office was highly efficient and the tech was really nice and well as skilled. The folks on the front desk could have been a little more engaging, but basically I have no complaints.
Professional service from Dr. Gordon and staff.
Dr. Gordon is very nice, but I would've liked a little more instruction from him. He answered my questions that I had, but as someone who never had any foot issues before, I am not really sure what to ask. Most doctors I've ever been to had some general things to tell me that I didn't think to ask which were very useful. Bottom line, I think I have healed. But I never felt confident that I was getting adequate treatment. Confidence in one's treatment goes a long way in the healing process. Now, the receptionists: Unprofessional, rude, lazy ... I can't think of anything nice to say about them. They are the reason I would never refer anyone to this office. Seriously, my luggage was lost at Laguardia recently, and the people working that counter seemed far less miserable than these ladies.
It seemed as they were in a rush to get me out. So I can't say I was satisfied but it was just a quick visit which leads me to believe he's just that busy.
At the front desk the receiving nurse wasn't the most customer-friendly. She made me wait while she was listening in on another patient, then frustratedly rushed me when I wasn't immediately ready when she turned her attention to me.
I was seen immediately. Doctor was friendly and helpful.
He's great - keeps things short and sweet but listens if you need to ask more involved questions. I highly recommend!
Was able to diagnose the problem right away.
a pleasure to be in the company of a professional
IT WAS GOOD.
Big change, amazing waiting time. Used 2 wait at any Beth Israel Dr. office easily 45min. Wow I was amazed yesterday when I heard my name like after 10mn waiting, the whole visit took like 30/35min. Think the new partner, Mount Sinai, is for something really important & positive 4 patients. I hope its not only a coincidence & that this new customer service will continue 2 b a very competitive discipline. Thank you Malika
i was very pleased with the way I was treated, Everyone was courteous and professional. Staff and doctor were very polite.
Great doctor - provided me with a diagnosis as soon as he saw my Xrays.
Everything went great. I didn't have my referral in the beginning and had to wait in order to take care of it(which was my fault). After I managed to get my referral the staff made it their obligation to see me as fast as possible. I was sent down to the x-ray lady who was thorough and swift. As soon as I was done with my X-ray it took less then 3 minutes to see the doctor. Wait time is not an issue in this office. Dr. Gordon is very friendly, personable and to the point. I was able to get everything I needed from the exam.
Dr. Gordon is the best
He was good - it was a quick checkin - but he was a cool guy. Prudent - wants to see if we can avoid getting a scan w/ radiation; was appreciated.
Very friendly, patient and caring about my medical issue.
He would be in and out in 2 minutes. Very quick, but not very helpful if you have any questions.
It was quick but I didn't feel rushed and they got me an x-ray right away.
He has always been able to answer any questions regarding my surgery and recovery.
Dr. Was informative and patient
excellent, professional, knowledgeable.
The doctor didn't ask any questions nor didn't seem interested to hear what happened. The whole visit took less than 5 minutes, and makes to question quality of the care given. The receptionists didn't seem particularly interested either and seemed busy talking between themselves.
I came in to see Doctor Gordon for some chest pain. He spent may be 3-4 minutes with me at the most. The worst thing was that I didn't feel like he was listening to me when I was explaining to him what was going on. He interrupted me several times during the conversation and I felt like his "diagnosis" was just a best guesstimate. But he was sure to give me some pills that I was supposed to drink for a week twice a day. First impression was that he's a pill pusher and that he doesn't listen. Not going back to him again.
Dr. Gordon took time to explain my issue in great detail and was not overly aggressive in his treatment recommendation.
The doctor answered all my questions and worries. The personnel was great, very friendly and fast. I had an xray done within minutes of my arrival at the office. The whole experience was great
it was excellent
Very nice and helpful doctor.
I scheduled an appointment for 8:45 a.m. When I arrived about 10 minutes before, I was told to take a seat and was not told that the doctor would not be in the office until 9 a.m. I overheard someone else asking when the doctor was and he was told that Dr. Gordon was not yet in. When I went up to ask what time i'd be seen, I was told 9:15. I would have appreciated a heads up that the doctor was not in, or would be coming in late so I could reschedule my appointment before going to the office.
I was pleasantly pleased with this office visit. Reception, nurse and doctor interactions were on point, courteous, and beneficial. Will definitely follow up in 6 weeks.
I really liked Dr. Gordon. His front office staff were rude and unprofessional.
Knowledgable, personable, and attentive! They have X-rays on premise and very quickly process you through that to get you in front of Dr. Gordon.
Everything was perfect except that they didn't have my appointment on the system. Luckily the squeeze me I. What's the point of using ZocDoc if it doesn't work
I wish more doctors were as nearly perfect as he is. (OK, he's completely perfect, but we don't want him to stop trying harder.)
Dr. Gordon seems like he'd be great if you were there for a very specific, already-identified surgical need. Beyond that, once he's ruled out surgery he doesn't seem to be interested in helping, and does very little to diagnose any underlying causes or provide any real support. He just writes you a prescription and sends you to PT. After over a year of PT... I'm still in pain, and he's still not interested. Looking for another doctor.
Quick consulation barely spoke, gave a shot, and out the door so another patient could be seated.
His office staff are terrible: rude, unhelpful, gave me wrong information on multiple occasions. Dr. Gordon isn't so bad, but he doesn't spend more than 3 minutes in the room with his patients. Reviewing my MRI results for a knee injury and telling me I needed surgery was still a 5-minute appointment. I ended up getting a second opinion and seeing a different surgeon who actually seem interested in his patients.
Everyone was pleasant in the office. The nurse was very nice and made me feel comfortable, not just another patient. Dr. Gordon was kind and knowledgeable. He got straight to the point and answered any questions I had.
Did absolutely nothing and gave me advice that was potential very harmful. This guy is a quack, very much strikes me as someone who was at the bottom of their class. Go elsewhere.
His staff was dismissive and rude, and I had to wait for one of them to finish texting before I could check in. Dr. Gordon seemed like he would rather be anywhere else and tried to get me out of his office as soon as possible, and he also was creepily touchy-feely. Not a good experience.
Dr. Gordon was in-network, but gave me an out of network walking cast for my foot and I was billed by the manufacturer. His office says that because "most" insurances consider this manufacturer, they give their equipment to all of their patients knowing that some will be billed. I wrote this on Yelp and multiple people have contacted me saying they were in the same situation.
I have been going to Dr. Gordon for years me in April of 2012 I finnaly had my surgery arthroscopic knee and I was back at work in July. Now here we are December 2014 and I may have to get the other knee corrected. He is very thorough I highly recommend him
Dr. Gordon is very professional and helpful. I'm confident of his assessments.
Always a professional and has a great staff.
Short and sweet ... I will go back to see Dr Gordon!
Dr. Gordon and his staff were excellent, I'd highly recommend him for anyone with orthopedic concerns. The process of seeing his assistant, getting an x-ray and coming back up for the diagnosis was painless (figuratively) and quick. He clearly explained what my problem was, what I should do to help it, and seemed genuinely concerned about my knee. If I ever have a problem again I will definitely be going back to him.
I have been going to him for years and he did his best to help me but I needed surgery. I had the surgery done 4/10/12 was out of work for 3 months and now my knee is like nothing happened. Now its the other knee same issues so now im hoping to get this one fixed.
The people at reception were efficient but could have been more accommodating to someone in crutches (asked me to get up and down for my insurance card, a pen, etc). Dr. Gordon was friendly and efficient. He answered all my questions and explained the healing process for my sprained ankle. I appreciated his patience. Would see him again.
It just seemed like he wanted to rush me through and I wasn't that happy with his demeanor. However, his staff was great (friendly and accommodating) as was the xray technition. I will finish up with this doctor for my current issue, but I'm not sure about the future. We'll see how it goes on my follow up visit.
Great Doctor. Short wait time. Staff was nice. Doctor explained my problem and did not feel rushed. Would highly reccommend!!
This doctor was literally in the room with me for 2-3 minutes. To say I felt rushed would be an understatement. He simply read my file and told me what he thought was wrong instead of letting me discuss my situation. When I tried to ask a question he acted as if I was imposing. I would never refer anyone to this specialist to anyone.
My experience was great; the wait was less than 10 minutes. I saw a nurse, had x-rays and saw Dr. Gordon in 40 minutes. He was personable and answered all my questions in detail without rushing. Tip: Most of the forms are available on his Zocdoc page. If you fill them out ahead of time, you'll probably get in quicker. I only had to fill out two short forms while I was there.
Very kind and knowledgeable Office staff was wonderful and so helpful.
He is a good doc.
He is through and a good man. youtube.com/watch?v=NMwB5uIWOOI
Very good at explaining what he sees is wrong with you and walking you through the various steps to recovery you can take
My appointment was excellent. His office was efficient, he answered all of my questions. I did not feel rushed. I was impressed with his knowledge. I already recommended him to my colleagues.
Very professional. Diagnosed my issue right away & gave me treatment alternatives to resolve my problem.
I had ankle surgery with Dr. Gordon after seeking noninvasive treatment first (PT). He is very knowledgeable and competent, but he really does rush his appointments. If you need to spend a longer time with him, you need to make sure you come in there prepared with questions.
Very pleased with the way I was treated thanks Dr. Gordon
Friendly & a great manner, highly recommended
I had a 2 PM appointment and arrived about 30 minutes early. I was seen 5 minutes later, If that's not great service, nothing is!!
Dr. Gordon told me that I needed to have knee surgery without once touching or examining my knee. He simply glanced at the MRI told me I needed to have surgery and when i asked about my options, he was very flip and unconcerned. Additionally, he sat with his back to me while talking to me. I would not recommend this doctor if you are looking to work with a physician that expresses concern for you and thoroughly examines you.
I went in to get my foot and ankle x-rayed. I was out of there with a walking boot an hour after I arrived. Everyone was super nice and helpful.
I had a very lovely experience today. The office staff was very nice and helpful. Dr. Gordon was the best, He knew exactly what my problem was. I highly recommend this office for any orthopedic problems. 2 thumbs up all around!!
Doctor Gordon is a great person tells you that facts and if you have any questions regarding your situation or treatment hr takes the time to explain it. The staff is also great.
A bit too long given that I saw him for only 2 minutes, and knew that an MRI would be needed to have a more substantive examination.
He was very nice and thorough. I will be seeing him again soon.
Dr. Gordon's support and medical staff were very courteous and attentive. Dr. Gordon took the time to listen to my questions and concer. he alsi took time to explain the injury and treatment.
I went to see Dr. Gordon for a follow up and only say him for 30 seconds. I just don't think it's fair to have to pay and get none of his time or feel like your issue matters.
First time visiting Dr. Gordon. I would highly recommend him to anyone. His staff was courteous and friendly. Once seeing Dr. Gordon (barely any wait) not only did he explain my injury but answered all of my questions and didn't rush out to his next patient. I felt very at ease with his knowledge, diagnosis and recovery plan. I will certainly continue to use Dr. Gordon as my primary orthopedist and highly advise others to do the same.
Nice Doctor-listened to my issues without rushing me.
He was quite efficient and professional. Appeared to be quite competent.
I thought the office was a little disorganized. They forgot to give me the prescriptions and when I called to see if they could call the pharmacy, they declined.
All around aweful doctor! I saw Dr. Gordon after a lower back injury; 3 separate visits. He was very vague in his responses to my questions, and did not take the time to explain MRI results, PT instructions, and general next steps. I normally don't take the time to write reviews, but thought I'd save others the time in avoiding a terrible doctor.
Outstanding!! Was able to get a next day appointment. Was treated very well and he had an excellent bedside manner. Seemed to be extremely competent. Would highly recommend.
He was overall nice. The staff was rude and dismissive and they didn't make me aware of what was really wrong or that I would need a prescription.
Barely listened to my symptom description and just wanted to keep the visit as short as possible.
He is very pleasant making you feel at ease. He is professional and also gives you different choices on the treatments available.
I'm so glad I went to see Dr. Gordon. He's knowledgeable, thoughtful, careful, and helpful!
I think doctor Gordon was fantastic. Super nice guy that makes you feel comfortable and confident that whatever issue you are having will be remedied. The only downfall was the ridiculous wait at the beginning. I had to wait a FULL hour before being seen. "See, you know how to take the reservation, you just don’t know how to *hold* the reservation and that’s really the most important part of the reservation, the holding. Anybody can just take them." - Jerry S.
Awful practice -- they ask for your co-pay before they say hello to you and before doctor sees you. Went for a knee injury -- doctor does no visual or physical exam of knee -- just gives me a prescription for an MRI. Gives me a knee brace which is not appropriate for my injury according to my therapist and then I get a bill 6 months later from the brace company for a very high amount and my insurance will not cover because they are not in network even though doctor gave me brace and is in-network. Save yourself the aggregation -- don't go to him or this practice.
I got to the office before my appointed time and was seen within 15 minutes of getting there. This was ahead of my scheduled time.
There was no wait and everyone working at the office was very nice, however if you are someone who likes to understand your injury and ask questions I would not recommend this doctor.
My wait is usually about 10 minutes. I got in late so I do not blame Dr, Gordon.
Outstanding. Doctor was great and was really impressed with his knowledge and attitude. Would Highly recommend.
This visit was better than my last visit. He took more time to speak with me and answer questions.
Very quick Doesn't fully explain things
I have been to Dr. Gordon a few times. He seems to have less time and give less attention with each visit. I have developed a chronic condition and feel as though I get no guidance with regard to what I can do to help manage or improve the condition or what activities to avoid that might make it worse. I am getting increasingly frustrated and disappointed. We'll see how the MRI looks and then maybe it will be time to find another doctor.
Dr. Gordon is a thoughtful, knowledgeable and supportive doctor. He saved my ability to walk properly with surgical repair of my EHL tendon. His confident and cautious demeanor has helped me tremendously through this difficult injury and I am very grateful I found him!!! Thank you Dr. Gordon!!
Everyone in the office was very helpful and courteous. Dr. Gordon was a direct speaker so no confusion on his recommendations. He was courteous and informative.
Dr. Gordon was polite and friendly.
I really liked Dr. Gordon. I came to the office with foot pain as a second opinion after my foot has not healed in 5 weeks after the injury. He was very knowledgeable, was able to identify the issue and was very patient. I always ask many questions and he answered each one without making me feel rushed. I would definitely recommend him.
good Job team
Dr. Gordon and his back office staff are professional and courteous. Wish I could say the same about his front office.
Great medical skills, good bedside manner
I had a good experience. It was fast and professional.
Quick and efficient.
Professional and kind... Overall, awesome experience.
He was ok but seemed like a typical doctor trying to see as many people as possible in one day. He could've been more thorough.
Quick and nice
His good and take care good of his patient... l
Examined and took the time to explain what was wrong with my shoulder. Outstanding doctor. Would highly recommend!
He's terrific. Gets right to the point. A pleasure to deal with and he always resolves my problems with the best recommendation. Staff are excellent - friendly and efficient.
it seemed a little rushed, but overall he sounded like he was very knowledgeable
Dr Gordon is a wonderful doctor. I would recommend him to anyone who's in need of a orthopedic doctor.
I feel the doctor does not pay enough attention. He only saw me for 2 minutes
Dr. Gordon seems more interested in maximizing the amount of patients he sees than spending more than 2-3 minutes with you. I've seen him twice now and neither visit was thorough or in any way conclusive. I was referred elsewhere to have a test done that ended up not accepting my insurance. I called back to ask for an alternate location and was promised a return phone call with this information but I did not hear from them. I called the next day and was transferred to one of his many rude staff members and was ultimately hung up on.
Staff is kind of surly but Dr Gordon was nice. Doesn't spend much time with you but he answered my questions.
Does not care about patients, just about getting them in and out as quickly as possible. Do not recommend.
No waiting excellent diagnosis.
I found Dr. Gordon on Zocdoc and with all the good reviews I decided to go. I went to him after I slipped and buckled my knee. I had an MRI done and low and behold needed surgury to replace my ACL and my meniscus. I was really scared about doing it and he suggested starting physical therapy before having to do the surgery. Eventually i realized how painful my knee was getting so i set up the surgery, had it done at Beth Israel in union square. They are soooo nice there! They have a taxi set up to pick you and take you home which is awesome, especially considering i needed to be at the hospital by 5:30. It's now 2 weeks since the surgery and I'm walking normally but won't heal 100% until another 6-12 months. He's a really nice doctor and has been doing this for over 20 years, (told this by one of the nurses) and i highly recommend him. My sister and a coworker have already started seeing him as well.
Dr. Gordon is polite and caring. An overall great experience, I will return!
Dr. Gordon and his staff were outstanding. I injured myself skiing and he correctly diagnosed me. He is very knowledgeable and the office was able to get me an MRI that day. I ended up just needing therapy and am back skiing. Great experience highly recommend him!!
I would not recommend him to anyone I care about. Examination was unsatisfactory, rushed and he was condescending.
Dr. Gordon is a great guy. Good advice. Doesn't rush you.
As per the other comments, yes you do only see him for a few minutes but the entire practice is quick efficient and knowledgeable. The people at the front are a bit standoffish but they are just doing their job.
Everything was Ok and staff are very professional. But Dr Gordon was a bit in rush. My overall experience was very good. He is knowledgeable
The visit was short and sweet. In and out in under 30 mins.
Dr. Gordon seemed very knowledgeable and professional. Though he only spent a few minutes with me, he seemed to know what he was doing. Great demeanor and incisive medical analysis
He and his medical assistant were kind, attentive, and active listeners. Dr. Gordon was great at putting me at ease and explaining the diagnoses and treatment plan.
I called the office to ask if he could treat my condition, and was told he could, but when I actually arrived and met with him, he said he didn't deal with that issue. Frustrating -- but not the doctor's fault. He was very nice and warm and wanted to do what he could despite the fact that my issue was not his specialty.
Quick and efficient visit to assess a shoulder joint dislocation.
Outstanding!!! Dr Gordon is excellent. Had knee surgery with him from a basketball injury and have recoved and feel great. He does have a busy practice but the office staff was great and he was very caring and attentive. I went to two other doctors before deciding on him. I would reccommend him to anyone!!!!
Dr. Gordon is very calm and professional. I highly recommend.
So fast, so friendly, this guy knows his stuff. I went for a minor injury and was amazed at all the pictures, certificates, and award from NYC fire fighters and police. I felt like I was wasting his time with my not-so-serious injury but I was treated like #1 patient!
He was great and make you feel comfortable I would recommend anyone to him.
Dr. Gordon and his staff were very professional. I know they are busy, but wait time was long--especially since I had made an appointment. Dr. Gordon was worth the wait, though
Great bedside manner, but kind of rushed and not the friendliest front desk staff.
He is awesome!
It was very quick, but I didn't feel rushed. He was very efficient and compassionate. I was pleased.
Mostly helpful and capable
This was not my first visit to Dr. Gordon, but it was my first for this issue (ankle injury). They saw me as soon as I arrived. Attention from staff was good and Doc followed up on the reason for my previous visits too. Very pleased. Thank you.
My follow up appointment with Dr. Gordon was a joke. He blatantly pretended to "examine" me, which meant touching UPPER back . Note my injury was in my lower back and my (trusted) Physical Therapist cleared me. Dr. Gordon's office had me wait in a chair-less room for 15 minutes and was clearly not interested answering any questions. I strongly recommend you see another orthopedist. I certainly shall next time I have any issues.
He is exceptional. Didn't sugar coat my injury and gave me a path to recovery.
Dr. Gordon seems to know his stuff. He tried conservative approaches to my shoulder problem for 8 months when he could have recommended surgery sooner. He's personable and approachable, and he takes the time to listen to me without making me feel rushed. I trust him to operate on my shoulder in a few weeks.
Still waiting for MRI results before a treatment plan is put in place, but I really appreciated his bedside manner and his patience and attention. His administrative staff is a little gruff, but he more than makes up for it.
I've been seeing Dr. Gordon for several years now and he has always been friendly and efficient.
Excellent doctor. His office was busy but they saw me right away. He was compassionate and had a great bedside manner. Had been to see another physician and was misdiagnosed. Dr. Gordon made me feel comfortable and fixed my knee. I would higly reccommend him!!!!!!
Can't say enough about Dr. Gordon - he's a pleasure to deal with. He is warm and to the point. He makes one feel that one's diagnosis/remedy is his most important concern. Dr. Gordon is terrific; I trust his analysis completely.
Dr. Gordon is personable, efficient and gives one an exact picture of what is happening and how he intends to deal with the issue. Would recommend him to all: a dedicated professional.
Dr Gordon was pleasant and knowledgeable. My time with him was extremely quick.
Fast visit like always..... less than 5 minutes waiting
This was my first visit but he seemed caring and ready to address all of my issues and get the appropriate diagnostic tests. Bedside manor was gentile and kind.
My visit went very well. Turns out my knees are in good hands with Dr. Gordon. I would trust him with any of my joints or bones. He's great!! Knows what he's doing. You can tell his quiet confidence is because he's so competent. Recommended!!!
Personable and very friendly. He had an idea what is causing the pain and his office was able to get my MRI approved right away
Fast visit.... To the point
This was by far the worst office visit I've ever had. Dr. Gordon was dismissive and never even looked at my knee or foot. He didn't explain anything and kept trying to leave the room while I had questions. I literally was in the waiting room after crying because he didn't answer my questions or address my issues. I would never go back to him!
Excellent Doctor, would happily see him again if needed.
Very professional; answered all of my questions.
He and his staff were professional and up me at ease right away! I would recommend his services highly!
I arrived 40 minutes early. Even so, I was processed immediately, interviewed, x-rayed, examined by the doctor, and scheduled for surgery before the time of my scheduled appointment. I could not be more pleased.
Dr. Gordon is wonderful. Clear in his explanation and very caring!
Todays visit was quick and painless yet, very informative.
I was actually taken into he exam room about 5 minutes early then my scheduled appointment!
Staff was very friendly and courteous. Doctor was empathetic and professional.
Didn't fully do over test results Ident 4 minutes with me
It was fast and went well
I found Dr. Gordon after I suffered a terrible fall down a flight of stairs at my job. I needed surgery on my knee and then rotator cuff surgery. Dr. Gordon assessed my needs immediately and took action right away. He completed the knee surgery first and I just had the surgery on my shoulder. He is the best surgeon ever. He is professional and he is confident. His presentation made me know that I was getting the very best care. He helped me get through a tough time in my life. I am so grateful that I chose him as my surgeon because he is top notch. I would recommend him to anyone who needs the services of a really great surgeon!
Dr Gordon was great!! I injured my knee and was able to get into him right away. His office staff was very good. I had a late afternoon appointment and was taken right on time. I was very impressed with his knowledge and he made me feel comfortable. I will highly recommend him to all my friends if they have any injuries!!!
He knew my file, asked questions, checked ROM,and renewed my prescription. Very professional, but maybe a little too quick too my taste.
I recieved a cortisone shot in the shoulder from him. I then got a cortisone flare the next day and it was very painful. Called their office, he was out and the PA basically told me he didn't know what i was talking about, never heard of a cortisone flare and was pretty much useless.
Very helpful and professional. I'd return with any applicable issues.
Dr. Gordon and staff were efficient, professional and pleasant. He answered my questions with clear, concise answers and suggested multiple treatment options. I went first thing in the morning to avoid delays. I must say, by the time I left the waiting room was full. I would recommend him to others. I also recommend downloading and completing the medical forms in advance. It will save you time and help keep the schedule moving.
Excellent staff. Excellent doctor.
They are improve a little bet. Wish is better than the last visit.
Dr.Gordon was very nice and knowledgeable. Front desk staff was helpful and sweet. Great experience overall. Highly recommended.
Well I will said the office is well run, and he is fine. I will hate to say this, but sadly he looks bored and not enthusiastic about his job. Maybe because doctors in general are overwhelmed with too many patients? He doesn't spend much time with patients. The most I have been with him in his office is about 15 minutes.
Great experience. Accepts walk in appointment's which is very rare for a specialist. Dr. Gordon and his staff were very helpful. Correct diagnosis. I was in and out rather quickly - which is great as a working professional. Would definitely recommend!
I waited for more than one hour then saw the for less than a minute, he disappeared On me! No time to explain anything or to ask a question! That was awfull.
No nonsense, right to the point. For busy professionals, this is your orthopedic doctor. I've had multiple procedures with Dr. Gordon & am very satisfied
Hard to tell. His examination is brusk and way too fast. He did not even touch my problem areas and simply made recommendations based on an x-ray, and then MRI. But I did think they were the correct recommendations.
He is a very nice doctor but once again, as with all doctor offices, the front desk tries to shove in as many patients as possible so the doctor does not really have enough time to really sit down and speak with you. I waited one hour in the waiting room, then had to wait even more after being put in one of the examination rooms. THe doctor came in, looked at the MRI results then spoke to me for about 3 minutes, then left. I don't blame the doctors for this; I blame the front desk appointment makers...
i didnt feel like he was entirely invested in my well being. I was just another chart - and the diagnosis matched that lack of interest.
They took xRays. He didn't Ben look at them. I have lower back issues and he barely asked me abt my lifestyle or how I injured it. He seemed disinterested with my problems honestly.
Dr. Gordon is very warm, efficient and very clear about the diagnosis. He doesn't waste your time. He really cares about his patients. I have been to him before and he will be my 'go-to' Doctor for any orthopedic issues. His staff is wonderful.
great as always
Dr. Gordon does not sit and talk to you about your condition. It's in and out with him. He is always rushing. I have to talk fast.
Dr. Gordon was clearly not interested in what I had to say. He interrupted me in the middle of my narrative, and seemed interested only in moving my case forward as quickly as possible. The physical examination could not have taken more than about 5 seconds. I do not feel I was treated with respect.
No problem at all
He didn't seem much interested by my problem. He stayed with me for 2-3 min and then left without saying goodbye. Wouldn't go back.
Was his last appointment of the day and he spent less than 5 minutes with me before running out of the office. The nurses, however, were delightful.
He was very assertive on my diagnose and started to treat my condition before getting the results. Which I appreciated. He's not a big talker. I spent more time in the waiting area than the time I spent with him. But I still liked him. These days is probably worse they don't have much time and too many patients.
I've been blessed to have Dr. Gordon as my orthopedic doctor for well over 10 years now and I've found him to be most trust worthy and honest. He has always made me feel comfortable with his decisions.
Quick follow up appointment. My previous appt I waited over 30 minutes so I'd advise against going during lunchtime.
It was a pleasure to be at this office and the attention of all the staff was great.
easy visit. to the point
Went well and gave me the answers i went to get
a little too long of a wait for a quick visit, and you have to migrate to another floor in the building to get X-rays. It was definitely over booked. If you schedule appts around a tight crunch it might not be the best office for you, but he was very friendly and treated me fine, ill be going back for a check up soon
very good. he was very efficient and straightforward which i appreciate
Dr. Jonathan Gordon is not only an adept doctor but also a compassionate doctor who helps heal his patients. Basically he is an excellent doctor.
Nice man. Prepared and no nonsense.
Dr Gordon definitely knows his stuff, but you'll probably only see him for a few minutes. He's very busy, and you'll probably feel ignored in the office.
Dr. Gordon no doubt knows his business. However, you can end up feeling a bit like a part in a production line over there. Multiple patients checking in with the same appointment time, his army of assistants do the “bedside” bit and he gives you a once over before moving on to the next room.
Dr. Gordon isn't a bad doctor. He's not the most personable guy and seems anxious to get you out of there, but he knows his stuff. His staff is another story. They've shown themselves to be completely inept and act as if they're doing you a favor with every part of the process THATS REQUIRED OF THEM. I wasn't even planning to leave a review until I got to an appointment with a doctor he referred me to and his office never sent over my MRI information I was told they were going to do. It cost me half an hour and it's too easy a process to screw up.
been seeing him for over 10 years . Great person ,Great Doctor
Dr. Gordon has been treating me for a work related injury for the past 3 years, including two surgeries and I have been totally satisfied with his services.
As always a visit at Dr.Gordon's office is always pleasant. All the staff member's are courteous and try to give you as much information as possible regarding your situation.
He rushed through the consultation and did not give me a chance to elaborate on my injury or ask questions. An assembly line type of visit. Definitely not going back.
He was very kind and my visit went well.
I highly recommend Dr. Gordon as he is professional and knows his stuff. He already performed surgery on my right knee and the results have been successful. The only issue, which had nothing to do with the doctor or his office was that it took a ridiculously long time to have Xrays taken from the floor above them. My appointment which should have taken a half hour turned into two hours.
Terrific, no nonsense. Nobody better!
He is very straightforward and clear. He answered all my questions. I walked out of his office with a clear understanding of my condition and what needed to be done.
Recommended by my Primary MD for a swelling in my ankle. Spent less than 2 minutes with me on each appointment, did not explain much and put me on the surgery track immediately. Fortunately, I asked for second opinion and found a Rheumatologist who explained that my blood tests showed a problem, most likely caused by a strong allergy to an insect sting. Dr. Gordon is in too much of a hurry for me.
I am happy with the visit to Dr. Gordon's office. The staff are very professional and Dr Gordon gave a quick and accurate assessment of my condition.
He was competent and personable and answered all my questions
Just what I was looking for - short, sweet, to the point, with no BS. I showed up late for my appointment due to traffic, but they were very nice about it. They admitted me about 15 min later, gave me x-rays immediately and I saw the doc 5 min after that. Dr. Gordon was to the point, answered all my questions and was very helpful. Perfect in and out visit.
Brief and Informative. Very professional and caring.
Seemed very nice a knowledgeable. Knew what was wrong in the 1st few minutes of seeing me.
I have seen Dr Gordon three times now and have been pleased with all my appts. I never had to wait more than 30 mins and even had one occassion where I didn't even sit down before being called in. I had both back and shoulder pains that needed to be assessed and found that all my questions and concerns were addressed before I left his office.
Dr. Gordon has already performed surgery on one leg a few years back. I was so pleased that I returned for other issues on my other leg.
He gets the job done, but he won't let you tell him your symptoms before he cuts you off to offer a diagnosis. Very frustrating.
Dr Gordon was very personable and professional. The office staff were warm with their reetings and interctions.
His staff was super fast - got in, got x-rayed, got seen, got out. The doctor himself was maybe a little TOO fast - he came in, touched my elbow, told me what it was, and left before I had a chance to say a word. All in all, not a bad experience at all if you're looking for a quick diagnosis.
Came in, tech/asst, etc sees me first and sends me for x-rays. Doc sees me for less then two minutes and cuts me off several times when I am trying to explain my concerns and explain my condition. In fact mocked my questions. When I ask him why I have a certain pain, he tells me that's not supposed to happen. What a brilliant observation! He needs to learn how to LISTEN to his patients, and not be so rushed.
He's great. I really liked him, but after a relatively long wait I felt like he was a bit rushed, making me feel rushed and he was in and out in minutes. GREAT doc though!
1st time visit to Dr Gordon went well despite the fact of his negative reviews. I would go back again to see him if pain does not go away.
I believe he was professional and had an imeadiate understanding of the problem. Though I will require an MRI and probably other visits with him my first impression was satisfactory.
Dr. Gordon and his staff were very professional. I highly recommend Dr. Gordon to other patients.
the appointment lasted literally 2 minutes - and after saying "you're fine" he left the room, without even saying that's all, good bye, have a good day or anything...
The office registration process was inefficient. The paperwork could have been emailed to me so I could complete it in advance. Most of the first hour after the appointment time was waiting. (And this after my appointment time had been moved forward 3 hours from the original time.) On the plus side everyone in the office was friendly and pleasant.
I liked the way he chose a conservative method of treatment.
Honest truth it was really in and out. Happened so fast, I don't know what happened.
Very personable and an attentive listener. Highly recommend.
Saw him 3 times for a wrist injury. He never spent more than a few min with me and never once examined my wrist. He didnt know I had lost mobility and I needed to have started physical therapy much earlier.
Very nice and efficient staff
Horrible, I think if he spend more than 45 seconds with me it was too much.
I thought that he made snap decisions without really listening to my concerns, and ordered expensive tests without spending time to thoroughly diagnose my issue.
Great caring service!!!
My Doctor is eccellente. I Will recommmend him to anybody that i know. Michael st fleur...
Pleasant as always.
this man is the best I would recommend him to anybody
I was a little disappointed. He seemed in a rush to get me out of there. He gave me a couple perscriptions, and I can't read his handwriting, and I'm not sure what to do with one of them because I don't think you get it handled through a regular pharmacy. I was hoping for more of an informational visit on how on my condition, but didn't receive much.
I didn't see Dr.Gordon until the end, but his staff was very pleasant to deal with. Dr.Gordon seems to be an easy going guy and I will definitely go back!
He really didn't spend that much time with me to give an honest opinion
If you can get through the less than pleasant receptionists he's worth it.
It was a very pleasant experience
