Patient reviews for Dr. Jonathan Gordon
I only saw him for about 5 minutes. Didn't seem to give me any in-depth analysis on my issue...
Hard to tell. Spoke to him for less than 2 minutes after waiting for 1.45 hours to see him.
Arrived 20 mins prior to appointment. Had paperwork done, X-ray taken and back to see the doctor by 4.35. Needed an MRI. Got the info there and then and prescription sent to my local pharmacy. Very efficient service.
Pleasant
Super friendly receptionist, nurse and doctor.
The doctor was nice and so was his staff. They saw me right way, fitted me with a boot for my fracture and even made a follow up appt. for me with another specialist.
Dr Gordon was very professional and his staff was great, would definitely come back if I have any further issues.
Terrific! Smart and helpful.
awesome
I never had any problems.. my visit went well
Super fast compared to other doctors offices (and I was even there during lunchtime)
I was seen quickly, paper work was a breeze and the staff was incredibly professional. I am rarely impressed walking out of the doctor’s office but my visit to Dr. Gordon’s was awesome.
Came in loosely lifted my arm- said it’s inflamed - told me he’d send me to get an MRI as he was leaving the room. No bedside skills at all. Seems bored with my “basic” issue
Doctor was very impatient. Barely looked at my x ray and just said I need PT
It took 20 minutes to be taken into a room, another 45 before i saw a doctor. They didn't listen to what my symptoms were (muscle pain) and immediately x-rayed me. The doctor barely examined me and wrote me a pain management prescription without any explanation.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. Everyone is addressed quickly and efficiently. Office is very clean.
They did a great job getting me my paperwork, explaining the process and were all very friendly and patient.
he was nice as can be and very thorough.
Really bad experience here. Recommended dangling arm exercises for a broken collarbone without specifying when to start them. I took that to mean right away which was 2 days after the accident. Doing this caused incredible pain, lead to worsening of the injury and ultimately surgery.
Exceeded my expectation
Great doctor!
The doctor really cares about the patient and seeks the best possible result and explains the process well
Quick and professional.
Great doctor, amazing office staff! I highly recommend. I was in and out very fast, and they all took care of me very well. Great operation here!!
Very professional and great service. I would highly recommend Dr. Gordon and his team for any orthopedic care.
Dr Gordon communicates very clearly and simply what to do, when to push it and when to ease up. His sports injury experience really shows through when he is evaluating and treating your injury.
Very professional and reassuring. My injury was almost "untreatable" -a rib injury, but he gave me solid advice and reassured me that with time things will be ok. I'd definitely recommend Dr. Gordon to anyone that has any sports related injuries.
Dr. Gordon was knowledgeable about injuries and was straight to the point but I felt like I had to ask a lot of questions to get the full context and to truly understand my injury. It’s almost like he speaks as if you have knowledge in his field.
Appointment was handled extremely efficiently.
Excellent team. Bedside manner excellent. Cares about patients and long term results. Office staff lovely.
He was nice but didn't seem to give more recommendations on how to manage my knee pain and what else I could do like applying any creams or ice or wearing a knee brace. I had to call back to ask his assistant. He should have done that on his own.
Nice doctor but evaluation was not thorough. Great staff, but waiting room was hardly welcoming.
There are so many orthopedic doctors in Manhattan and you shouldn’t waste your time with Dr. Gordon. He barely looked at my arm and - in our 3 minute visit- said to take Naproxen and come back in a couple weeks. I brought a video of my x-Ray from Urgent Care and he didn’t even look at them despite the fact that the nurse loaded the disc and they were displayed on his computer. Do yourself a favor and find another doctor.
Was there for 2 hours. I saw the doctor for maybe 5 minutes. I had an issue with my ankle and heel. Only spoke to me about my ankle. Felt like he didn’t have time for me. Very bad experience. Not going for a follow-up, cause why waste more money?
Spent all of 45 seconds with me making his assessment of my injury and talked over me as I tried to describe my symptoms. Worst experience with a medial professional I've had in a long while.
Very pleasant environment
Great! Direct and to the point. He was very clear and I was in and out! Everyone was very pleasant.
Everyone at his office is so nice and he has taken great care of me. I am no longer in chronic pain from osteoarthritis.
The waiting room was much more comfortable than years ago . That made a big difference . All of the staff were wonderful . It was a very good experience
Staff was helpful and professional. The doctor was helpful with how to deal with knee problems.
Outstanding service and admin staff. Dr Gordon is a very very good Dr.
I waited for about an hour, the assistant carefully took my information, but the doctor didn't give me more than 2 minutes. He wasn't very helpful and too
Dr. Gordon has kept my knees healthy for years now. Thanks to his expert treatment, I am able to work out like an athlete. He always listens and he genuinely cares about his patients.
Quick, efficient
Good thorough follow-up visit.
Although there were several reminders about my appt time via email and text for 4.30-- I arrived to be told my appt was at 3 and the Dr leaves at 4.30. They seemed unaware of my records or my name though my primary care Dr notified them because THEY phoned me first about a month ago to set an appt.. "Was I just there for my MRI to be read?" I already had a report on the MRI, so I expected to be examined and assessed not just from the MRI, and the Dr's nurse had me change into sports shorts, so that would have been the norm I thought.. The Dr was nice but he just read the MRI -- and made a diagnosis from that, and prescribed pain and anti-inflammatory meds and physio.. When I get a second opinion, I may be told the same thing-- but I want to see another Dr. regardless.
Literally the worst doctors experience ever. Had to wait an over an hour in a hot windowless room, then told I had to go downstairs and get X-rays and then wait even longer. No updates from staff, mountains of paperwork repeating the same questions. Never go here unless you are really, really desperate.
Happy to
Great doctor, but tons of waiting in the office, felt a little disorganized.
The visit was quick and easy, didn't think anything was wrong. However, two weeks later I started receiving a prescription to my apartment. I assumed this was just a one-time prescription but I was NEVER told by Dr. Gordon that he'd prescribed me an ongoing prescription with basically no end date from Meadows Optical Pharmacy. As others mentioned, he seems to have a partnership with this pharmacy and refers all patients prescriptions to this mail-order pharmacy. It wasn't until my insurance called and asked why I had order an "abnormal" amount of the prescription that I called the pharmacy to ask how large this prescription was. Fast forward to a few months later, I find out that I owe money for each prescription order out of pocket... for a prescription I never asked for, needed, or was told about. This is unethical.
