Qualifications and Experience
Dr. Lanocha is a neuropsychiatrist with over thirty years’ experience caring for patients with treatment-resistant depression. He was one of the first physicians in the country to provide transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) as a treatment options for patients following its FDA approval in 2008. He has lectured widely on TMS, a noninvasive procedure that uses magnetic fields to stimulate nerve cells in the brain, and coauthored several books the long-term benefits of TMS.
He joined TMS Health Solutions in 2013 after successfully running his own practice focused on treating depression and finding the most advanced, evidence-based therapies to relieve symptoms and achieve wellness. He develops a holistic treatment plan tailored to each patient’s needs, incorporating a broad range of evidence-based treatments including TMS, mindfulness-based techniques and sleep therapies.
Dr. Lanocha is a graduate of both Georgetown University and Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. He completed his medical training at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, with a clinical clerkship at Guy’s Hospital in London, England. He then completed residency training in psychiatry at the Sheppard and Enoch Pratt Hospital in Baltimore and a Fellowship in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy at the Tavistock Clinic in London, England. New Hampshire Magazine named him one of the states “Top Docs” for four years.
