I'll break this review into two sections: 1) Wait Time and 2) interaction with the Dr. 1) Wait Time: I was in the waiting room for 1hr and 45min then once I was ushered into the room where I was towait for the Dr., it took another 30 minutes for him to see me. In total I waited for 2hrs and 15 minutes. 2) Interaction with Dr. Shrock: Dr. Shrock was very pleasant, well spoken and knowledgeable. I appreciated that he didn't push me to have any invasive treatment and recommended non-invasive / at-home treatments that I can do myself before jumping into things like cortisone shots, etc. I felt like I was in good hands and I really liked his demeanor and personality. Great guy who really seems like he is passionate about helping his patients.

Dr. Shrock exam, consultation and potential solutions from least invasive to more aggressive werediscussed in a manner that was easy for me to understand. Explicit written instructions and exercises were in my hand within 60 minutes. Wow!

The doctor was good. He is a good professional but the management of the appointment horrible. I was waiting for more than an hour and when they finally called me I was waiting to see the doctor another 10 minutes. Unacceptable!Doctors can't waste a minute of their time but they don't care if the patient waste more than an hour.

They were tied up a bit because of many different types of treatments and ailments but the wait was worth it. 1st time patient reviewed my scans with me, provided treatment for the shoulder and referred me to a neck specialist.Prior Ortho (Adventura Ortho) didn't care that is why I changed to Dr. Shrock.

I was called into an exam room promptly, greeted by a tech and the doctor was in the room within 10 minutes. I don't think it gets much better than that. I came into the clinic with a complaint of chronicright side shoulder blade pain (going on for at least 2 years). The tech explained to me that it may actually be a neck issue so he would hold off on x-rays until the doctor examined me. Dr. Shrock came right in and after a few questions about my symptoms, physical exam to rule out pathology of the the shoulder blade itself...and then manipulating my neck to see what exacerbated my symptoms, he took an x ray of my neck and suggested i may have a herniated disc at C5 or C6 and ordered an MRI to confirm it. He took the time to examine some pictures I brought in and also explained WHY this neck issue could be causing pain in my shoulder (because the nerve at that level attaches to my scapula and it is irritated by the disc). Makes sense. He started me on a Medrol dose pack. Next step is MRI, and then possibly therapy IF NEEDED. I don't know if I'll be cured but I'm certainly hopeful and confident in my choice to go see him. Thanks ZocDoc.

Excellent appointment with Dr. Shrock. He demonstrated a combination of knowledge, experience, careful analysis of clinical and imaging tests, clear explanation of the diagnosis and treatment he subscribed. The treatment has not finished, but it was a good start.

Dr Shrock was great! He diagnosed my complex issues and took a very raional and professional approach towards treatment/analysis of causes of my pain. I was etremely pleased with him, his understanding and analysis. He listened to everythingI had to say regarding my history, reviewed my 10 year history of past MRI's and various other reports and I feel confident that we can approach my pain issues in a systematic and understandable and logical way. Extremely please and have the utmost confidence in his knowledge and expertise and... a really nice guy. Yes, the office gets busy and you may have to wait in your exam room for awhile. You may hear voices and conversation of others in the office while you wait. It's all good and well worth the wait. Also his staff was wonderful and answered any and all questions I had. Kind and caring atmosphere too.

I really like this doctor. I went to him to get a second opinion. Unlike the other doctor I saw, his first option wasn't surgery, but said that would be the last option. I appreciated that and the fact that hetook his time with me and it didn't seem like he was trying to rush me in and out.

I especially liked that Dr. Shrock is taking the easiest, least invasive, and least expensive route for my knees, to see if they respond. More drastic approaches will be taken only if needed. He explained everything to me simply and clearly and recommended rehab for one month.

After X-rays were taken I was examined by Dr. Shrock's physician assistant. She went over my medical history and then conducted a physical examination of my shoulder. She then briefed Dr. Shrock on her findings while he reviewed the x-rays.Dr. Shrock came in, was very friendly, and quickly got to business. He pulled up my x-rays on his smart phone and explained what was going on, how common it was, and how he was going to treat it. He then continued and explained the spectrum of results I could expect from his initial treatment, from complete recovery on one end of the spectrum, to minor surgery on the other end of the surgery if I don't respond to the initial treatment. He then treated me with some ultrasound-guided injections into my shoulder (very high tech) right there in the office. He took down my email address and sent me a program of prescribed exercises and more information on my type of injury. In summary, everyone in the office was very courteous and professional. Dr. Shrock is at the top of his game on shoulder injuries. He answered my questions to my complete satisfaction, and sent me additional information and exercise recommendations by email. If you need to see an Orthopedic Surgeon, I give Dr. Shrock my highest recommendation.
