Dr. Price and her team are very focused on improving a patient's life experience. They take time required to discuss the situation and options with the patient, and I appreciate her general wholistic approach with medical treatment used aswarranted. So much of allergies are environmental, some can be avoided and some cannot. Wonderful, smart, caring doctor and team!

Dr. Price was very thorough. She looked at my history and goals since my last visit and congratulated me on my progress. She gave me a timetable for my cough to improve and provided me with a ZPAC Rx if Ineeded it. She looked at my skin conditions and gave me some ideas on resolution following my dermatology review.

I have been wrestling with how to give feedback to Dr. Salter-Price and her office--a public Google or Yelp review while I'm still her patient has seemed unwise, especially given the passive aggressive nature and poor treatment by her staffI've already received. Dr. Salter-Price is very kind, helpful and thorough. She spends at least 20 mins with me each time I've been in. She seems very knowledgeable about the latest research and science. However. I consistently spend over an hour waiting, most of it in the waiting room before getting taken back (35 min has been the shortest wait, 55 min the longest), then an additional time after the intake waiting for Dr. Salter-Price (15-25 min). The front office even comments about how the team is typically an hour and a half behind even on a full staff day. My other frustrations include not receiving calls back when I specifically ask for them, poorly answered patient portal emails that do not address my questions, and being treated rudely by the nursing staff. The nurse who was most rude has since left, but they are still pretty defensive when I've even so much as inquired how long I might wait. I have continued to go see Dr. Salter-Price because by the time I realized all the Google reviews I had read were true, I was already in treatment and it was too overwhelming to change.

Dr. Price herself was very nice and easy to talk to. While she didn't blow me away, I also didn't find anything particularly off putting about her once I was actually seeing her. On that note... I opted for an earlymorning appointment in hopes that I wouldn't have to wait (that the doctor's schedule wouldn't be too off by 8am). I was wrong as I still wasn't taken back to a room until 8:40, and probably didn't see the doctor until 9am. I understand that doctor's schedules can get wonky throughout the day, but if you're that far off in your day by the second patient... poor time management drives me crazy.

After I was told by a Dermatologist at OHSU that I was "...doing this to yourself...." I was both relieved and dismayed when Dr. Price had told me that I had Mastocytosis. However, she was so understanding at that first appointmentand normalized my feelings. I went home with a list of medications and treatments that I followed religiously. It has been two years now, and I truly believe that Dr. Price saved my life. I went from from 180 pounds down to 130 pounds (size 16 to a 7/8) and I haven't changed anything. It has all been Mast Cells. Now I can move, and while the pain is still there, it has diminished. Dr. Price has changed my diagnosis to some form of MCAD. It doesn't matter to me what it is, what matters is that it is being treated and I am feeling so much better. While I am not 100%, I know I am headed in the right direction. My breath test in 2016 was around 50, today it was 110. Believe me, I can tell the difference. Dr Price has always been punctual and usually has time to answer all my questions. When she has been rushed, it was because of the needs of other patients, and I know that when I have needs her, she has always been there for me. I don't mind waiting for another appointment when my questions are just informational. I'm one of those patients that wants to learn everything I can about what I have so I can take control of my recovery. It has helped me get the most out of my baths, and I have learned to recognize when I have mast cells degranulating, so I can use meditation and breathing to mediate the effects and not get as sick as I used to. Dr. Price's team has been helpful in working with the Asthma Association when I was able to find grants to help pay for some of my medication. When I told her that they had quit paying for one of my medications and I hadn't had any for over a week, she had her staff bring me a dose immediately and enough to get me through until I could get some on my own. They also arranged for me to to get some other medication through the mail that I had not renewed due to the cost. I am a retired Social Worker. I am not a fan of doctors since I became disabled. I have been treated very poorly by many doctors. When I find a good doctor, I stick with them until they either move so far away I can't drive the distance or they retire. Dr. Price is one of those doctors. I am so grateful that my Rheumatologist referred me to her. As I said previously, I truly believe she save my life.

Dr. Kursteen Price is, hands down, the best allergist in town. And I've been to several. Her approach is very focused on the individual and she is not afraid of trying both typical approaches with meds but also compound medicine solutions. After going to three different doctors over the years, Dr. Price has completely steadied my allergic reactions.

Dr. Price has lots of knowledge. But, her MA did not know why I was there and it did not seem that she had read my chart before seeing me. Same was true with Dr. Price. I felt ignored and notimportant enough for them to have reviewed my chart before seeing me. I am a working professional and the office wasted a lot of my time. I was told I would get a paper copy of rx for blood work before leaving. Never was given it. I am not impressed. And these are not "bedside manner" complaints.

Dr Price has a "think out of the box" approach. Her unique methods and genuine caring for my wellbeing, excels. I came to Dr. Price though the recommendation of a good friend. I had debilitating dermatitis on my ankle from anallergy to leather, which had become systemic, preventing me from having needed surgery on my ankle. Dr. Price treated me with an innovative approach, and I was able to have the surgery. That was almost 1 year ago. I am doing great and thankful to have found Dr. Price. She's wonderful!!

The intake is thorough and friendly from Dr. Price's staff and I always feel that the trimet light rail one-hour each way is well worth it for helping me "manage nature" -- the pollens, the whatever that cause minor to moderateallergy issues. Dr. Price tailors thoughtfully to how things seem to be going and had two or three options to try if I want to tinker, but this visit was to talk about renewing a prescription. I have a handout for considering the new therapy of drops for the mouth . . . always printed guidance if needed for followup. There can be a while waiting but I always have something to read or work on and I would want a good doctor to have flexibility for others who need more time . . . I am afraid I take up too much time both for staff and Dr. Price as it is, but they patiently welcome the over-information I probably provided. I found out this time a more direct way to get to the 9701 office building from Sunset TC Transit Center . . . a five minute cut-across walk whereas I thought I had to walk down Barnes Rd farther and hang a left up a drive. Maybe the name of the building could be on the website. I had never noticed the 9701 high on the building easy to see from Barnes before and still cannot remember the name of the building, but associating the office with St. Vincent's or whatever complex confused me on earlier visits.

Dr. Price is an is a rare doctor, her depth and range of knowledge within her field of practice is exceptional. In particular, if you are seeking help with complicated health issues she will go beyond the standard blood testing androutine physical. When your test results come back negative, she doesn't shrug her shoulders and say sorry, try an anti-depressant. She understands (as many doctors apparently do not) and is not afraid of the idea that our complicated bodies can have complicated health issues that interact with each other and that there are times when a doctor needs to act as investigator. That said, she is a bit different and I could see some people being put off. My only complain is that the office she works is awful. The clerical and scheduling staff as well as some nurses are just unhelpful and downright unpleasant. It reminds of living back in NY. They will not offer or go out of their way to be helpful in any way. I would absolutely not go to this practice if I had a choice but Dr. Price is one of only a few doctors on the west coast with training in my particular health concerns. Oh well, still glad I found her.

Dr. Price is an AMAZING physician with a broad knowledge base and is very communicative and personable. If she cannot help you, she rolls her sleeves up to find someone who can, and she knows that one size does not fitall in medicine and looks at the big picture. She brilliantly diagnosed 2 very rare and aggressive diseases that I have after Loma Linda, Stanford and OHSU could not. She is not only brilliant, but she is an amazing person who gives her life in service to others. I am a healthcare professional myself and find Dr. Price to be a rare gem!

My primary Doc has thought for years I had allergies. Dr Price suggested maybe I have acid reflux instead due to my symptoms, maybe diet change/time of eating & perhaps a visit to ear nose & throat Dr. might be useful, gave a list of recommended ones. Also suggested a mild over the counter allergy med to try or not as I did have mild symptoms of allergies. She asked pertinent questions, was quick, gentle and to the point. She seemed very knowledgable. I'm glad I went!

This was my first time seeing Dr. Price and the entire staff was so kind and helpful. The ladies working at the front desk were very helpful and hospitable, but unfortunately I was so nervous I don't know the name ofthe woman who helped me. She had short, dark hair and a pleasant face. The first person from the medical staff I spoke with was Rebecca C. and she was very personable, attentive, and thorough. I felt completely comfortable from the get-go even though I have social anxiety disorder. She told me exactly what I could expect from the appointment and when I expressed concern regarding the costs of the tests and how much my insurance would cover, she was totally understanding. Dr. Price herself was very warm, gentle, and soft-spoken. One of the things I worried about was how my case would be perceived by the doctor; I suspected I was allergic to cats [I am] and I own three of them and work as a veterinary assistant. I was worried she would tell me I had no choice but to get rid of my cats and quit my job. However, she was very understanding and her long-term plan allows me to keep my pets and hopefully bring me some comfort. Her scribe, Sal, was very nice as well! Lastly, I met with Domenique L. She was the technician [I'm not sure of her actual title; I was so nervous] who administered the prick test and a vaccine. She was so helpful and kind and was honest and up front with me about recommendations I'd heard from other people and how they might help [or might not help] with my issue. I really appreciated how kind she was, and the fact that she talked me through everything. Everyone was really great! They took time to explain things without being patronizing and were all so great! To be honest this was the first time I was excited about a doctor's appointment [my allergies have bothered me for years] and they didn't disappoint at all. I'm very grateful I met these lovely people!
