Patient reviews for Dr. Louis Catalano
I had seen Dr. Catalano about 5 years ago for a problem with my elbow. He was great! I broke a bone in my hand and went back to him and he is still great!
Excellent physician. Took me right away. X-rayed my wrist himself and explained the problem and treatment options thoroughly.
The team here is awesome. I came in for wrist pain and was seen right away. Both the nurse practitioner and Dr. Catalano had fantastic bedside manner, very detailed assessments, and were genuinely a pleasure to speak with. Highly reccomend.
Outstanding experience, looking forward to my next injury so I can see Dr. Catalano and his team again (ha). Saw me on time, friendly bedside manner, very comfortable, easy visit overall. Highly recommend.
Appointment was on time!!!! Great bedside manner, both the Doctor and his nurse Practioner.
Love this guy - he’s what every doctor should aspire to become.
Great bedside manner. Very knowledgeable and thorough.
Dr. Catalano is very thorough and has a very comforting demeanor. I’ve seen him for a couple different issues and am very comfortable and confident in his abilities.
Dood guy. I feel safe with him.
Very helpful and professional staff, Dr Catalano is the best
He was personable, professional, passionate about his work and really took the time to make sure I understood the diagnosis and treatment.
The number of 5 star reviews are certainly well deserved. The office staff and Dr. Catalano are true professionals. Dr. Catalano made me feel very comfortable, including the shot. He has an amazing bedside manner. If you're looking for a hand specialist, this is the guy!
I went to see Dr. Catalano for what I suspected was a sprained finger. Everybody was very friendly and I was seen quickly after finishing my paperwork. The doctor's assistant did an exam and took an x-ray, and then Dr. Catalano came in and did his own exam. He spent a few minutes asking me questions and checking my hand/fingers. When he was done, he gave me a clear diagnosis and next steps. He was very pleasant and made sure I understood what he had told me. His time came at more of a premium than I expected, but it was worth the peace of mind and I'd recommend him to anyone.
Brilliant - I sought a second opinion from Dr. Catalano (first opinion was that I needed surgery on my wrist for a carpal boss). He was very measured and insisted in first instance on the non-surgical route. Very refreshing, and professional. Nice guy, too.
He listened to what I had to say first, then proceeded to further explain the issue with my hand, while all the time, he held a brief conversation with me, while injecting my hand with crotozone. That was a great approach; otherwise, I would have been more tense.
I really liked Dr. Catalan. I met with two surgeons prior to this appointment. I felt much more comfortable with Dr. Catalan and will use him for my surgery.
Dr Catalano was very friendly and caring , he listened to my current complaint, read my radiology report and suggested a course of action that feels right to me. I liked him and recommend him.
Smart, efficient, good manner
Great doc! Very personable and professional. Recommend him highly...
Dr. Catalano and his fellow were incredibly thorough with my examination and clear with me about my diagnosis. They discussed my multiple treatment options and were happy to answer any questions I had. I had X-rays taken at the office and I was still in and out in less than 45 minutes. I highly recommend going to him.
Fast, amazing service from the front desk and a great experience with the Doctor. If I need to come back this will be the location to go
Informative, approachable and comforting.
Have seen him for several different procedures and am convinced he's simply the best hand surgeon in New York.
He is an outstanding MD particularly as a diagnostician and very complete in his explanation of my case. Rare.
They should have a 6 stars as a option just for this doctor!
Dr. Catalano was friendly, knowledgeable and encouraging. He listened attentively and had a positive attitude. I left feeling very well taken care of.
Excellent doctor. Clear explanation and very nice manner.
He is the best!
Super nice and professional, the first look was done by another doctor who was also very professional. Dr Catalano was attentive and insightful into my condition and create a course of action that made sense and was easy to follow. Very happy!
Excellent all around
Dr. Louis Catalano is super friendly and knowledgable
Dr. Catalano is an excellent, smart and caring doc. Highly recommended.
Dr. Catalano was very knowledgeable and competent regarding shoulder problems. Although, I may have expected a more thorough look at my shoulder and scapula, his assessment was virtually on point. He also performed an in the office steroid injection that helped me tremendously - I actually could say it feels 100% better. As I also have chronic neck issues, he organized an appointment with a cervical specailst in his office that day, I saw Dr. Seiber. Dr. Seiber's view was very helpful as I have to make a descion very fast with respect to how I need to approach surgery. He also approved additional physcal therapy treatments on my shoulder.. He followed up yesterday with me, but I missed his call, I appreciated that, as rarely do doctors call you to see how you are doing. . Only a very few today. So that was appreciated. Overall, it was a positive experience - I liked Dr. Catalano very much
Very personable and was able to explain what was going on with my hand very clearly. He is now my go-to Dr!
He's all about surgery. I saw Dr. Catalano for a minor hand fracture. The experience was rushed, and informal. He did not do a good job of explaining my injury and options. He pushed surgery without explaining a non-surgical option. I thankfully saw another surgeon who was honest and am now in-process with non-surgical healing.
Still the best! Getting ready for my third finger surgery with Dr Catalano, the best hand surgeon in NYC. He is also very caring, has a good sense of humor with perfect bedside manners!
Dr. Catalano was great! Very personable and took time to listen to my explanation of the issue. He was also very clear in explaining his diagnosis and next steps which I greatly appreciated. Definitely recommend!
A good friend recommended Dr. Catalano. Although appearances should not color the feeling about the doctor, the office was airy and spotless and quite up to date. Dr. Catalano diagnosed my condition immediately, explained how it might progess, but that probably it would remain the same and there was nothing to worry about. He was friendly and personable. As soon as he had diagnosed the issue, he immediately sent a letter off to my internal medicine dr. I would recommend Dr. Catalano highly.
I was referred to Dr. Catalano by my sister. Best decision! He got me out of pain in a matter of days. Thank you Dr. Catalano!
Dr. Catalano and his staff are fantastic. The front desk called my insurance and secured a referral from my GP before I could do it myself. I saw Dr. Catalano almost instantly after filling out my new patient paperwork. Dr. Catalano is as friendly as he is knowledgeable. Look no further if you're in need of an orthopedist.
Dr. Catalano was fantastic at my first appointment. He explained everything clearly, answered my questions patiently, and was very careful while handling my injured arm. He also mentioned one of the hobbies I'd listed, showing he'd truly read my patient form.
First time at this facility. Pleased with both the service of the Fellow on staff (Her name eludes me) and the Doctor.
Professional and efficient. Very satisfied with treatment and follow-up care.
Dr Catalano treated my dislocated thumb and diagnosed the severity pretty quickly. Then I was able to get a custom made brace that same day. The brace was a much better fit and allowed me to get back to my typing-critical job with minimal difficulty. I healed pretty much at the rate he foretold.
He was friendly, efficient and caring. I felt relaxed and comfortable immediately.
Excellent doc and nice guy. Highly recommended!
Love the art deco decor. Great staff and Dr.Catalano was fantastic.
Very professional and friendly doctor. I will see him again. There were some confusion with the front desk lady when told me she did not receive my paperwork from ZocDoc. But nevertheless the appointment was smooth and quick.
He is so caring,I like him very much
