About Dr. Lyubov Avshalumova
Dr. Avshalumova is a Board Certified Dermatologist and Fellow of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology. She joined our practice in 2011. Dr. Avshalumova specializes in medical, surgical, cosmetic dermatology, and cares for both adult and pediatric patients. She graduated at the top of her medical school class and was recognized by Psi Sigma Alpha, a National Honor Society of Osteopathic Medicine. Throughout her career, she has published numerous articles in dermatology journals and lectured at multiple national and regional meetings.
She was awarded the Koprice Educational Award for Best Resident Presentation at the Annual American Osteopathic College of Dermatology meeting in 2009, as well as received the Intendis Research Paper Award for her work as a Chief Resident. Dr. Avshalumova has participated in multiple melanoma/skin cancer screenings as well as in community services where she has educated the public about the importance of sun safety and the early detection and treatment of skin cancer.
