Dr. Lvov is lovely, but the front desk is a mess. Would recommend finding a different doctor before dealing with the receptionists.
Got there early (as requested) for my 45-minute new patient appointment. Until nearly 2 hour AFTER my scheduled exam. Saw the doctor for 15 minutes. And they make you come back every 30 days to refill the prescription. The primary concern of this office seems to your copay, not your health.
Dr. Lvov was friendly and seemed personally interested in me and my well-being. The staff was also pleasant and helpful. The biggest concern, though, was the wait. It may not be the experience every visit (this was my first visit), but I waited more than an hour past my appointment time before I was called back. Make sure you schedule extra time in your calendar when you book your appointment.
Ok but I always had to wait 1 1/2 hour. Had to move on to another doctor.
I had a scheduled appointment, about 10 minutes after my appointment start time, the doctor accepted a patient who didn't have an appointment scheduled for the day. When I asked the front desk about this, they said there was nothing they could do, and said that I still had one person in front of me to see the doctor. I just left, at that point, I would have had to wait an hour and a half past my actual appointment time. Oh, and they are apparently the only doctor's office in NYC that doesn't accept debit or credit cards. They also make up some random copay amount, that is way more than any copay I have ever had to pay. I would NOT recommend going here.
Very informative doctor, friendly and warm. She seems very knowledgeable. Will highly recommend her.
I felt very comfortable with Dr. Lvov. She is both kind and direct.
Doctor was average, but had to wait over 2 hours just to meet with her for ten minutes. When I spoke with the receptionist, she said the doctor was typically late and recommended scheduling with a different physician for a follow-up. The office was not even clear on when the doctor would be ready to see me. I would have appreciated a call prior to my appointment that I didn't need to go at my assigned time. What was even more ridiculous was that they are CASH ONLY - so if you have a copay, bad news. This was possibly the worst experience I have ever had at a doctor's office. They were completely disrespectful of my time and I would not recommend this physician.
Took the time to speak with me and was very straight foward.
She did a great job helping me and worked well to meet my needs! Recommend for sure!
This office confirms one rate for uninsured patients by phone and online (it was also the rate published here on zocdoc: I have screenshots) but then changes it to almost double when you show up. They did this to myself and another woman just while I was there. They are preying on the uninsured who might not otherwise have access to mental healthcare. Thumbs down.
I was prescribed any medication I asked for. When asked for a prescription recommendation, I alerted the doctor that I had an allergic reaction to that medication. I was told that was impossible, so I tried the medication again. Two weeks later, I broke out in itchy hives. One quick Google search verified that patients can experience extreme itching. I can't recommend this doctor.
She answered all of my questions and responded to my concerns and she is absolutely hilarious and relatable in so many ways. I feel like she and I were able to have a candid conversation about my mental health disorders and my medications.
It's a busy Manhattan office. If your main doctor is too busy, the staff will refer you to another doctor in the suite. This is probably fine if you only need an Rx refill. The staff did not know about or use the insurance information that Zocdoc had me upload in advance- I had to re enter everything on arrival, so don't bother with this step online. It's also important to know that this office accepts ~cash or checks only.~ No credit cards. I was not informed of this in advance and had to go downstairs to an ATM to cover my co-pay. Dr. Lvov was courteous and to the point.
I would not recommend going to this doctor. They failed to tell me that they only accepted cash or check prior to my appointment and had to go out to get cash. Then, after waiting over an hour and a half the doctor prescribed me two new medicines without really asking about my history. One of the prescriptions was not covered by my insurance. After two weeks of trying to get a hold of the doctor I gave up. I also contacted them at least 3 times to cancel an appointment and then still received a phone call the day before confirming my appointment. I would not recommend Dr Lvov or her office.
Dr. Lvov is very nice and thorough. The office on the other hand is a mess, how hard can it be to stagger patients so that not every single person that walks in has to wait an hour??
I went there for help with my PTSD, she was very cold. I didn't end up getting seen until a half hour after the appointment time because she had double scheduled and saw someone else when I was supposed to be seen. She kept pushing all sorts of different pills on me when I told her that isnt an option for me as I am already on a suitable medication. She also said that I would be bad at my job when she asked what i am studying to do: like this "how will you be a cook if you have trouble with people?" Very pushy and unprofessional, pushed me to the edge where i actually had trouble composing myself in the office. Have never had that experience before really.
